In Ills dear name which does all days adorn,

For Christ was born.

I do Dot know when Jesus Christ was born. And yet I greet you on this Christmas morn,

When Herod's tyranny made Israel mourn. When all the world by Caesar's tax was shorn, Then was fulfilled what Jacob's God had sworti,
Our Lord was born.

So lift ye up your heads ye sad, forlorn, Remember He Himself our griefs has borne. And so rejoice with us this joyful oiorn,
For Christ was born.
