$ATER SUPPLY:
The people are satisfied with the .uality of water available in the area. The toilets are connected to the sewer lines and have they carry waste water from -itchen and toilets. The toilets and -itchens are placed at the front of the houses so that they are connected to the water supply and sewer lines that pass through the streets. Most of them are unaware of the procedure to get water supply connection because it was done long bacThe water consumption is high due to the presence of washing machine in / ! of houses. There are no places for washing clothes in the house and this ma-es washing machines convenient for the people, )ut washing machines increase the water and electricity consumption of these houses. The washes clothes are dried in the terraces of the houses.

ENERGY:
&lectricity is the ma1or source of energy in all the households The electrical appliances used include, lights, fans, T2, 3ridge,washing machines, water heater, air coolers. 1 to 15! of the households have got air conditioners. &lectric connection is metered in every households. &lectricity tariffs are also high and is around #5 4# months. The electricity charges go high during 0inter and e*treme summer. 5one of the houses surveyed were using any bac-up source of energy li-e inverter or solar energy. Kerosene and 67G are the energy sources used for coo-ing. 1 67G cylinders are consumed per year of which only 8 are provided by the government. The rest are bought from the private mar-ets. 3rom the survey 9 percent of the households are not aware or concerned about energy efficient appliances and usage of solar energy or any alternative energy source.
