Most of the light used in outdoor applications appeared yellow to any ordinary layman in yesteryears. However, with the advent of the latest light sources now, we do see a good transformation of lighted spaces from yellow to white light. Most designers agree to the fact that yellow light enhances the magnificence of historical structures, while white light helps modern day structures and buildings to keep pace with the passage of time and look more contemporary. Aptly quoted by a famous designer, the day passes in chasing deadlines, meetings with no time to think beyond work, however darkness brings in a natural change. It becomes a time to relax, ponder, appreciate, for expression, and rejuvenate ourselves for the next day. By this we decipher, ambience does matter. When you look around, if the surrounding helps you appreciate the details, it helps generate ideas. Any ambience would hardly be perfect without good light. Light acts as a medium to express the building's great diversity of architecture, function and identity. We, in Philips introduce Uniflood, a small-integral flood light for low wattage CDM lamp which helps in accentuating the details as well as illuminating flat surfaces in their true colour.

Designed with the user in mind Uniflood very aptly meets customer requirements of lighting surfaces, as well as accentuate details with white light in true colour. The same product in two versions of optical distribution makes it suited for billboard lighting as well as illuminating architectural details with precision. 1. Wide and narrow beam optics Uniflood offers two types of optical distributions. First, a wide beam, which emanates from axially symmetric stepped reflector design. Second, a narrow beam, which results from rotationally symmetric reflector design.
