VSofts Mandate Management System

VSofts Mandate Management System is an image-based, multi-institution, multi-location, web-based system for undertaking end-to-end operations for mandate-based, repetitive direct credit or direct debit transactions. Architected for Robustness and Flexibility The design of the system based on Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles enables it to be highly robust and flexible. The robustness of the system makes it capable of storing and processing high volumes of data while its flexibility gives it the ability to integrate and interface with third party systems and payment networks in a seamless fashion. Freedom to Choose Delivery Models VSoft provides you the freedom to either choose a web-based Software as a Service (SaaS) model or an in-house software deployment model for using the Mandate Management System. With the SaaS model, your institution can start using the system quickly without investing in costly hardware and software infrastructure. Most importantly, the SaaS model affords you to have a predictable, usage-based pricing structure. For institutions that are comfortable with hosting the system within their premises, VSoft provides the traditional in-house deployment model. Need-Based Usage with Modular Structure Whether you choose the SaaS model or the In-house model for using the Mandate Management System, you also have the additional flexibility choose the required components of the system. The system is a collection of sophisticated software applications that are modular in nature. This allows institutions the freedom to choose the components they require based on their specific need.

Functional Components
The following are the key functional components of VSofts Mandate Management System. Image-based Mandate Capture Solution For over 15 years now, VSoft has been a leader in the image-based cheque processing solutions market. The same technology and expertise has been used to build the Image-based Mandate Capture solution. The solution contains advanced application components that enables operators to scan the physical mandates and capture its image and data in a fast and efficient manner. Automated image repair technology enhances recognition while reducing image quality return items. The solution also contains user-friendly processing screens for operators to manually repair and correct the data. Mandate Repository The images and data of the scanned mandates are stored in the Mandate Repository, which is a powerful relational database. Relational databases, as implemented in relational database management systems (RDBMS), have become a predominant choice for the storage of information in new databases used for financial records, manufacturing and logistical information, personnel data and much more. Transaction Manager The Transaction Manager solution is the central component of VSofts Mandate Management System. It is a rule-based application that can act both as a transaction originator as well as a transaction receiver. In the outward flow, the solution can originate requests for mandate-based credit or debit transactions by querying the Mandate Repository on a daily basis. Mandates that are active and valid on a given business date are pulled out from the database and extracted for outward transmission. In the inward flow, the solution is capable of reading an inward mandate file and validating the data by querying the database. The solution can either have a file-based interface or a message-based interface. Management Information System (MIS) The Management Information System provides both historical and real-time insights into the daily operations of the system. The advanced Report Writer component is capable of generating MIS data in standard report formats as well as displays the data in configurable dashboards. Statistics, graphs, and reports can be created on-demand or automatically based on schedule or other business rules. Core Interface The Core Interface is a configurable link between the Mandate Management System and your core system. For example, in the case of ECS credits, the Core Interface can validate information like customer data, account status and balance in the core system by a simple query before the Transaction Manager creates a Payment Instruction file for outward transmission. Payment Gateway The Payment Gateway is a multi-protocol translator that allows the Mandate Management System to connect with financial networks like the NACH and others that use different base protocols. This APIbased application can be customised to communicate with any third party systems that have an API-based design. The Gateway also acts as an intelligent router that can identify the right target for messages or files, whether in the outward flow or the inward flow. Web Interface The Web Interface component is a rich browser-based, cross-platform interface to the Mandate Management System that uses dynamic Web content technology. Using the Web Interface, operators can query the Mandate Management Repository to retrieve real-time information on various things like the status of a mandate file or a mandate transaction, an audit trail of a mandate file and so on. The customers of your institution can use the interface to initiate e-mandates or request for modification or cancellation of mandates. The look and feel of the Web Interface can be branded to make it look like an extension of your own web interface.

Scanning Operators *

VSoft can undertake the scanning and processing operations in a fully outsourced model. For scanning, VSoft has Image Service Bureaus (ISB) in many major cities and it continues to set up more across the nation. VSofts operators will scan the mandates from ISBs and transmit the data and images to VSofts central processing center located in Hyderabad, where its data entry operators can complete the processing operations.
