Dear Indian American Community Leader,
Namaste and Happy Diwali!
Please allow me to introduce the House Republican Conference to you. This majority wing of US
Congress consists of 233 Republicans and is chaired by Congresswoman Cathy McMorris
Rodgers. She was part of the Congressional delegation organized by NIAPPI that visited India at
March end this year. She had the opportunity to meet with Chief Minister Narendra

Modi and became an instant admirer of his work in Gujarat.

Chairwoman Rodgers has formed the Indian American Advisory Council to counsel the
Republicans on issues important to the Indian American community and extend the Republican
outreach to our community. Under her leadership with the expert advice and assistance of Mr.
Nicolas Muzin, Director of Outreach and Coalitions, Cathy Rodgers has gone all out to reach
out and embrace Indian Americans. I chair this council.
We are celebrating Dev Diwali and Bharat Day on the 19th of November on Capitol Hill, with
the entire leadership of Congress as well as some of the senior Leaders from India. HRC is also
making it possible for us to sit down with various committee Chairmen to recommend
legislation, such as Immigration and Small Business Bills, important to our community.

Lets all Chalo Washington to show that we matter!
