 THE SYMBOL OF THE WINGED SUN

To quote from Wikipaedia

"The winged sun is a symbol (sometimes known as Behedeti, a name of Horus) associated with
divinity, royalty and power in the Ancient Near East (Egypt, Mesopotamia, Anatolia, and Persia).
The symbol has also been found in the records of ancient cultures residing in various regions of
South America as well as Australia.

Ancient Egyptian use

In Ancient Egypt, the symbol is attested from the Old Kingdom (Sneferu, 26th century BC), often
flanked on either side with a uraeus. In early Egyptian religion, the symbol Behedeti represented
Horus of Edfu, later identified with Ra-Harachte. It is sometimes depicted on the neck of Apis,
the bull of Ptah. As time passed (according to interpretation) all of the subordinated gods of
Egypt were considered to be aspects of the sun god, including e.g. Khepri."

"Mesopotamia and the Levant

From roughly 2000 BC, the symbol spread to the Levant and to Mesopotamia.
It appears in reliefs with Assyrian rulers and in Hieroglyphic Anatolian as a symbol for royalty,
transcribed as SOL SUUS (literally, "his own self, the Sun", i.e., "His Majesty").

Now another eye opener ...

An abominable image inside the Vatican. The satanic symbol of Baal or Horus (this time without wings).

The sun god is nothing but an idol, whether it has wings or not.
The Psalmist King David rightly wrote :

"Their idols [are] silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
They have mouths, but they speak not:
eyes have they, but they see not:
They have ears, but they hear not:
noses have they, but they smell not:
They have hands, but they handle not:
feet have they, but they walk not:
neither speak they through their throat.
They that make them are like unto them; [so is] every one that
trusteth in them." -Psalm 115:4-8.
It seems that just as Israel, (when straying from YAHWEH) called a golden calf Jehovah, the
Watchtower used the winged sun symbol (the representation of Horus, Sol, Baal, Solsuus, Behedeti
or whatever it is, from pre -Christian idolatrous religions) on their literature, and would probably
use Malachi 4:2 to Christianize it, just like the Freemasons use the same verses & arguments to
make it out as something that is non Satanic.

In the next few exhibits, it is clearly demonstrated that the Watchtower has occult connections.
It even placed the symbol of the winged sun on not just one book, but on many books.

Charles Taze Russell was obsessed with the winged sun `god` symbol (As you will see in further
exhibits). Note the Winged disk on the covers of these book advertisements below - inside the smaller
oblongs).
The "winged sun-disk" is a symbol originating in Assyria and Egypt and has been used by
a variety of groups such as Freemasonry, Spiritists, Theosophy, the Rosicrucians and of
course the International `Bible` Students Association (now known as the Watchtower
Society). This symbol has been called by numerous names such as the winged globe, winged
solar- disk, sun's disc, etc. This symbol was placed on numerous Bible Student material including
editions of Russell's Studies in the Scriptures from about 1911 to 1920. Under Rutherford's
leadership this symbol was eliminated from JW literature as it was viewed as being like the
Pyramid & it was Satanic, they said.

Origins and Use of the Winged Sun-Disk

This symbol apparently originated with the Assyrians but is most identified with the Egyptians.
It is a ubiquitous symbol found in numerous forms on temples, etc. in Egypt. What exactly
is it? What does it symbolize? What was it used for?

In the book Practical Egyptian Magic by Murray Hope it is said about this symbol and its
use in Egypt:
"Emblematic of the element of air, this consists of a circle or solar-type disk enclosed by a pair
of wings. In ritual magic it is suspended over the alter in an easterly direction and used when
invoking the protection and co-operation of the sylphs." {Hope, Murry, Practical Egyptian Magic
(New York: St. Martin's Press), 1984 p. 107. Quoted by Fritz Springmeier, The Watchtower & the Masons,
1990, 1992 pp. 113, 114}.

A Masonic reference work describes it this way:

"... the Winged-Disk, with the Uraei of Egypt, the original of which we find in the
text summarized by Naville in the "Myths of Horus," pII. xii. ff.:&endash; "horus
commanded Thoth that the Winged-Sun-Disk, with Uraei, should be brought into
every sanctuary wherein he dwelt, and into every sanctuary of all the gods of the
lands of the South and the North, and in Amentet, in order that they might drive
away evil from therein...." This is what is meant by the Winged-Disks, with the
Uraei, which are seen over the entrances of the courts of the temples of all the gods
and goddesses of Egypt.

Other occultic groups lay claim to the symbol and its use.

A Rosicrucian reference work says this:

"The Winged Globe is pre-eminently a Rosicrucian symbol, although the Illuminati
may lay claim to it, and it may be admitted that it is of Egyptian origin. The
Winged Globe is the symbol of the perfected soul making its flight back to the
source of its creation in the Elysian fields beyond."

Along with the sun as the so-called " great fire-god", the serpent was connected.
Owen says:
"In the mythology of the primitive world, the serpent is universally the symbol of
the sun". (Owen, apud Davies's Druids, in note, p. 437).

"In Egypt the commonest sign of the sun, or sun-god, is a disc with a serpent around it."
(Bunsen, Hieroglyphics, Vol. 1, p. 497).

"The original reason for the connection of the serpent with the sun appears to have been that,
as the physical world receives its light from the sun, so the serpent was held to have been the
great enlightener of the spiritual world, by giving mankind the knowledge of good and evil. This,
of course, like all idolatry, is an absolute perversion of the truth; but it serves to identify the sun-
god with Satan."

With this identification of the symbol with Satan the Society stopped putting it on its
literature.

Copies of the Studies in the Scriptures for example starting appearing having a different cover
design and did not have the symbol on it. WHY?

Was that an attempt of the Watchtower implementing Damage Control?

In the Awake! magazine of December 22, 1976 the Society printed an article on idolatrous
symbols on page 15. In this article they took a rare moderate position on the subject.

They said the following after reviewing several images or "decorations" that have pagan
religious roots:

"With so many different designs having been used in false worship, if a person went
to the trouble and took the time he might find an undesirable connection with
almost every design he sees around him. But why do that? Would it not be
needlessly upsetting? And is that the best use of one's time and attention? "

However, if the design or symbol had a clearly understood idolatrous (false religious)
meaning, Christians were to avoid it:

"If a particular design or shape is commonly understood where you live to be a

religious symbol, there is good reason to avoid it." [ ibid].

One of these religious symbols connected with a pagan god mentioned and illustrated in the
article was of the "Winged Disk" of Egypt.
 • What is the significance of Russell's introducing without explanation the Winged-
Sun-Disk on his publications? I guess this depends on what significance it had for him!

• The Winged sun symbol has various occult and religious meanings. What did any of
these have to do with Russell's use of it? If Russell was a Mason and used it because
of this, what would this mean? It would mean that he is an apostate & occultist.

• Rutherford put an end to its use by the Bible Students because of some of these
occult (Satanic they would say) connections. Was this a move in the right direction?
I guess the Watchtower Society would say it is "light getting brighter & brighter unto the
perfect day."

REAL CHRISTIANITY, HOWEVER DOES NOT WORSHIP THE SUN IN THE SKY,
OR IMAGES OF THE SUN AS a `god` or use these occult symbols. (Exodus 20:3-5; 1Thess 1:9-10).

God is described to be like "a sun & a shield" in Psalm 84:11 (for He is our light & our protector), and he is
described as the "Sun of righteousness" which shall arise "with healing in His wings" in Malachi 4:2-3 , for when the
real Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth with the clouds, every eye shall see Him & the whole sky shall be lit up
(Matthew 24:27; Revelation 1:7-8). He will return with his saints (those who are saved) to judge. (Jude 14-15).
I can't think of a legitimate use of sun images for those professing to be followers of
JESUS!

However, remember God`s Word in Jeremiah 10:1-2, "Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh
unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not
dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. "

"Forasmuch as [there is] none like unto thee, O LORD; thou [art] great, and thy name is great in
might. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as
among all the wise [men] of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, [there is] none like unto thee. But
they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock [is] a doctrine of vanities.
Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman,
and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they [are] all the work of cunning
[men. ] But the LORD [is] the true God, he [is] the living God, and an everlasting
king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his
indignation." -Jeremiah 10:6-10

Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, [even]
they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens." Jeremiah 10:11.

Who Were The Knights Templars?

"The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon (Latin: Pauperes
commilitones Christi Templique Solomonici), commonly known as the Knights Templar or the
Order of the Temple (French: Ordre du Temple or Templiers), were among the most famous of

The organization existed for approximately two centuries in the Middle Ages.
Officially endorsed by the Roman Catholic Church around 1129, the Order became a favored
charity throughout Christendom, and grew rapidly in membership and power. Templar knights,
in their distinctive white mantles with a red cross, were among the most skilled fighting units

Non-combatant members of the Order managed a large economic infrastructure throughout

Christendom, innovating financial techniques that were an early form of banking,[5][6] and
building many fortifications across Europe and the Holy Land.

The Templars' existence was tied closely to the Crusades; when the Holy Land was lost,
support for the Order faded. Rumours about the Templars' secret initiation ceremony created
mistrust, and King Philip IV of France, deeply in debt to the Order, took advantage of the
situation. In 1307, many of the Order's members in France were arrested, tortured into giving
false confessions, and then burned at the stake. (Malcolm Barber, The Trial of the Templars.

Under pressure from King Philip, Pope Clement V disbanded the Order in 1312. The
abrupt disappearance of a major part of the European infrastructure gave rise to
speculation and legends, which have kept the "Templar" name alive into the modern day."

It seems that this movement has been stamped out by the Vatican, on the surface anyway, but the Knights
Templar was a forerunner for another secretive group, the Freemasons, as we shall clearly see.
Symbols of the Knights Templar
Below is the most commonly used seal (A Seal of the Knights Templar, with their famous image of
two knights on a single horse, a symbol of their early poverty. The text is in Greek and Latin characters, Sigillum
Militum Χρisti: followed by a cross, which means "the Seal of the Soldiers of `Christ`". The Red Cross on a white shield
(in the middle) is, another of their most common PUBLICALLY KNOWN symbols the Maltese Cross, but I want to also
draw your attention to the Cross in the Crown symbol).

Inspite of what Wikipaedia, and the Masonic Templar Organisations are saying
PUBLICALLY (Note what is underlined in the quote), there seems to be strong evidence
that the Masonic Templars are linked back to the original Knights Templars.

“Can we really trust those sworn to secrecy to be openly honest to us?”

“Have they got something to hide?”

“If so, Why?”

“…John J. Robinson, whose book, Born in Blood, was celebrated by top

Masonic Lodge officials as an accurate history of the Knights Templar and of
Freemasonry, insisted in his later book, A Pilgrims Progress, that Lucifer is not Satan
or the devil. Instead, Robinson insisted that Lucifer is an angel whose guidance and
help can be employed either for good or for evil.” –(Codex Magica, by Texe Marrs
page 39).

“Now Baphomet, the androgynous horned, half man-woman, half goat god of the
medieval Knights Templars, inculcates this "Do your own thing" philosophy of
Illuminism. He is the very image of the freethinker, the Mason and Illuminist who
raises the "Torch of Liberty" —the fire of hell and light of Lucifer. The Knights
Templar, predecessor to today's Freemasons, revered Baphomet as the deity of

“…Richardson's Monitor of Freemasonry says that, "the Knights of
Kadosh Degree is intimately connected with the ancient Order of Knights Templar, as it
commemorates their old ceremonies of initiation."9 Allegedly, the members of the Order of
Knights Templar worshipped Baphomet, the hideous male/female Luciferian goat god and
conducted blasphemous ceremonies, which included urinating on a cross and homosexual
sodomy.(Codex Magica, byTexe Marrs -p422).

There are also other links between the old Knights Templars and the Freemasons today,
especially that of the York Rite. It is also linked with the Skull & Crossbones Society
"...COME AND SEE.." -Revelation 6:1.
 Masonic author Ray Denslow reveals the meaning for the cross and crown image:
"The Cross and Crown may be said to be confined almost exclusively to the historical
degrees in Masonry as exemplified in the various orders of knighthood of York and Scottish rites.
In Gaul we find the cross to have been a solar symbol when it had equal arms and angles; to the
Phoenicians it was an instrument of sacrifice to their God, Baal; and to the Egyptians, the crux
ansata was his symbol of eternal life." (Ray V. Denslow, Masonic Portraits, Transactions of this
Missouri Lodge of Research, vol. 29, p.7---emphasis in the original).

Now the question is ... "Was Charles Taze Russell involved

with or at least sympathetic to Knights Templar Freemasonry ?

In answer to that question, let me quote three things:

• "A Picture tells a thousand words."

• "There are sins of permission & sins of ommission, but there is also the sin of
association."

• " The disciple is not above [his] master, nor the servant above his lord. It is
enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If
they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more
[shall they call] them of his household? Fear them not therefore: for there
is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be
known." -Matthew 10:24-26.

Concerning the coming antichrist, scripture says,

"And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every
god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be
accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers,
nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his
estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with
gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things." - Daniel 11:36-38

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOUR SAID, ...

"Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not. For there
shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch
that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, [he is] in the desert; go not forth: behold, he
is in the secret chambers; believe [it] not." -Matthew 24:23-26

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON AND SAID, ...
"And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last,
which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich)
and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the
synagogue of Satan." -Revelation 2:8-9.

Charles Taze Russell died in 1916, and then had to face YAHWEH as his
Judge. Has occultism carried on in the Watchtower in the form of
Necromancy?
Necromancy refers to divination through alleged communication with the dead.

After Charles Russell the first president of WTS died in 1916 the following was said
about him keeping contact with the WTS:
"This verse (Revelation 8:3) shows that, though Pastor Russell has passed beyond the veil, he is still
managing every feature of the harvest work…We hold that he supervises, by the Lord's arrangement, the
work yet to be done.
The Finished Mystery 1917 pp. 144, 256.

"Hence our dear Pastor, now in glory, is without doubt, manifesting a keen interest in the harvest work, and
is permitted by the Lord to exercise some strong influence thereupon. Watch Tower 1917, November 1 p.
6161 [ WTS's reprints].

The second president of the WTS Joseph Rutherford under whose aegis the above two statements
were made, later contradicted them:

"No one of the temple company would be so foolish as to conclude that some brother (or brethren) at one
time amongst them, and who has died and gone to heaven, is now instructing the saints on earth and
directing them as to their work."
Jehovah 1934 p. 191.

The Watchtower Society (WTS) advised against association with the occult, including spiritism,
astrology, necromancy, mysticism and other similar beliefs and practices condemned in the Bible.

from Jehovah's holy organization, they became an invisible demonic

mankind, they use spiritism, necromancy, astrology and other occult devices.

However, in a complete flip-flop the WTS in 1989 reverted back to their necromantic belief:

"It is fitting, then, that one of the 24 elders, representing anointed ones already
in heaven, should stir John's thinking…(Revelation 7:13, 14a) Yes, that elder
could locate the answer and give it to John. This suggests that resurrected ones
of the 24-elders group may be involved in the communicating of divine truths
today." Revelation – Its Grand climax At Hand! 1989 p. 125.

Charles Taze Russell, Judge Rutherford & the Watchtower Society join ranks
with other occultists & Masonics such as Joseph Smith (founder of the
Mormons) & also Mary Baker Eddy (the founder of `Christian` `Science`),
which is neither Christian or science. The so called `Christian` `Science` cult
also used (& still uses) the Cross & Crown symbol of the Masonic Knights
Templars on their Sentinel Magazine. We do know however that Charles Taze
Russell was not a follower of Mary Baker Eddy, nor was she a follower of
Charles Taze Russell BUT both had links to the occult & the secret society of
the Masonic Knights Templar.
The Masonic Knights Templar Cross & Crown symbol also once appeared, for example on
the cover of the Watchtower. The Watchtower October 1st, 1907.
It also appears often inside or on the covers of the Sentinel Magazine, published by the followers of
Mary Baker Eddy (Founder of the `Christian ` `Science` cult). e.g/ SENTINEL 22.10.2007.

Unless a person who is a `Jehovah`s ` Witness chooses to be wilfully ignorant of the facts, they have
to admit that the founder of their religious organization as well as the organization of the
Watchtower itself is a cult & inspired by demons, NOT BY YAHWEH (Jehovah) of the Bible.

seekers among the `Jehovah`s Witnesses` that the Watchtower has JESUIT links & they have been
led to believe lying spirits & doctrines of demons, and that they need to get out of that cult & find a
support group that will help them in the painful exiting process}.

The truth was also painful for me to find out that Joseph Smith was a false prophet.
