Using Spreadsheet to distribute and manage Student Projects Great information at youpd.org Use to share a template for a project. All you have to do is share the initial document type for example 1 presentation slide and the students could then create a presentation and change to look their own. 1. Make a Master or Template Roster Spreadsheet. You will make a copy of it for each project or each time you want to share something. You can also use a Google Form to collect the student data for you. a. Put Student name b. Student Email address 2. Make a copy of the Template Roster for the class you want to share the assignment with. Rename it the Assignment Name roster.

3. Have to Install the Script a. Tools Script Gallery b. Search Doctopus Install Authorize to Run

4. Run the Script a. Select sharing type i. Groups can set pre-defined groups so student are shared the same document to collaborate on ii. Individual each student receives the exact same one iii. Differentiate Some have form A or Form B but all on own. iv. Class All collaborate together b. Class Access Level This says how much other students can see or do on other classmates work. i. If you dont want them to see others No Access c. Can add other teachers to view student work as well by adding email addresses d. Roster Settings i. Sheet that contains roster ii. Select column w/ Student email addresses iii. If using groups or excused can use Flag column

5. Choose which documents to copy

**Have a folder set up prior Name of assignment, folder within for student work, the document/pres/ss you want to share with students to work on, can put your roster ss in there too a. Select folder that contains what you want to share

b. Select the document you want to share w/ students c. Choose destination this is in the Teachers Drive (Already Create or Create from here) d. How want files to be named Copy from SS e. Can notify students when share via email. Can tell them to add to their drive in the email.

6. Run and Share a. Adds information to your spreadsheet b. Gives a link for each students project, Tells you when they last edited

OR can see all student assignments listed in the folder you told to collect them.

c. Can also give a grade and written feedback later

Student view: Email that you shared a document or in your share w/ me Drive They can move it to where they want. Link to project Embargo student work Due Date for Grading Changes permissions on each document from edit to just view. Teacher can add comments as shes grading Can also unembargo for editing as well Goobric for Grading Assessing using a Rubric Create Rubric with Google SS Install extension into Chrome Set up Goobric Tools Attach Goobric Authorize to run
