RITMICA

by Jose Eduardo Gramani (1942-1998) Presented by Benjamin Toth and Gene Koshinski
Ritmica (1988) is a unique, musical and fun approach to the development of rhythm. The book introduces systematic exercises that focus on rhythmic fluency and can be taken as far as ones creativity allows. For us, Ritmica has forever changed the way we perceive rhythm, meter, subdivision, time-keeping, counterpoint, and groove/feel. It has provided inspiration for improvisation and composition and vastly expanded our rhythmic vocabulary. It is important to recognize our teacher, Rogerio Boccato, who introduced us to this material in 2005. Mr. Boccato was Gramanis protg and continues to be the authority on the topic.
