6th Gurmat Interaction Camp Report Teachings from Guru Nanak Devjis Sakhis

Gurmat Phulwari Sewa Society made another step forward in their effort to mould children towards the Gurmat path. A drawing and painting competition was held on 30th November, 2013. The theme was "Teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji from Sakhis". Children were asked to draw and colour any one of Sakhis of Guruji and also write a few words of the teaching obtained from the sakhi all in the span of an hour.

The great response, the eagerness of the children and anxiety of the parents made the effort a huge success. More than a hundred children participated in the competition. Excited children in all agegroups started trickling in well before the start time. By the time the competition was to start the mammoth hall was full with babbling kids, excited faces and their eager parents and wards. The competition began with a huge applause to "Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh". Soon there was colour all around - paints and pencils, water and glitter. Our hearts swelled with pride and joy.
