ABSTRACT
1.1 Background o !"# Pro$#c! % We, the students of Second Year Information

Technology students visited various hospitals to study the management done for the blood donors as well as the blood deliverers to understand the procedure of contact the people during emergency situation. We found that the Blood donation centre or as we call it as blood bank are still using registers and files to take inward and outward of the people who donate and take blood from them. We also found that the contact details and various other information are not maintained properly. The pages in the file are torn and even not visible sometimes. uring the verifying process we also found that it is very difficult to find out the contact numbers of the needy people having rare blood group. The Blood Bank people are interested to have software which will help them to reduce the hectic process they are going through. This motivated us to design a mini pro!ect which will overcome their difficulties. "s according to

This pro!ect is named as Blood Bank %anagement System. We are a team of four students who are developing this pro!ect. This pro!ect is designed in a very simple manner. This pro!ect is designed in $ programming. The menu and the information displayed are written in a very easy to understand manner and it is also user friendly. "s this pro!ect is designed in $ it is machine independent and it does not re&uire any installation of e'ternal software. This pro!ect gets e'ecuted &uickly and also takes very less time to process and !ump from one menu to another.

A)* The main ob!ective of this pro!ect is to automate the

complete operations of the blood bank. They need maintain hundreds and of thousands of records related to the donor as well as the receiver of the blood. The informations that are taken must not only be visible but also be comparable with the others. The search we have used is very fast and precise. The user can also modify if any mistakes done by him. "s this pro!ect is designed in $ it is also easy to take the software and install it in other ($s without any problems or hurdles of installation of any e'ternal softwares. "s this pro!ect is designed in $ it is also machine independent and operating system independent. It re&uires on %S e'ecute itself. ue to its speed and accuracy to display data it takes very less time for the user to find the appropriate data of the people.
