The Grand House provides residential treatment for men and women struggling with psychiatric disorders and

mental health issues. Our program provides a comprehensive treatment approach incorporating psychotherapy, mindfulness, and expressive therapies.

Dia Parsons Admissions Coordinator


Dia has worked in the area of recovery since 2007, providing practical and emotional support and guidance to clients for their return to a fully functional life. Dia has completed drug and alcohol counseling education from UCLA in 2010, and is currently licensed in the State of California as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor with a CADAAC II. Since 2011 Dia has worked as a residential substance abuse intake counselor at a dual diagnosis facility, where her primary role in this capacity was to assess the needs of the potential client in an effort to help them receive the best possible care, working closely with the clinical team, following the clients progress. Through Dias own experience and struggles, she has discovered a passion for helping others to transform their lives.

Dr. Laura Calnan, PSY Primary Therapist


Dr. Laura Calnan, PSY, is a licensed clinical psychologist currently treating adolescent and adult clients. Dr. Calnan specializes in treating depression, anxiety and addictive disorders. Dr. Calnan holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology as well as a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. She has been in practice since 2007. She practices Integrative Psychology, using?integrated theories and technical eclecticism to bring the best, most empirically validated components of psychoanalysis, cognitive-?behavior therapy and humanistic psychology to her work. Laura previously served as a staff psychologist for La Ventana Treatment Programs in Thousand Oaks and Ventura.Her training includes three years as part of the Insight Treatment Programs clinical staff and three years with Exodus Recovery & Brotman Hospital in Los Angeles. She has been trained to?understand the client from a biopsycosocial perspective, identifying developmental impingements, and addressing relational issues that propel a client to re-enact destructive experiences and childhood trauma in current relational dynamics.

Laura has provided individual, group and family therapy for a diverse population of patients with acute diagnostic presentations, severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders including addiction, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and self-harming behaviors.
