Create RAID Group select 4 disk across the BUSes 2. select 5th disk from first bus and different DAE, if there no further DAEs then select the disk from same DAE in the range 7-14 Ex disks 0_0_5, 1_0_1, 2_0_1, 3_0_2, 0_1_2 or 0_0_5, 1_0_1, 2_0_1, 3_0_2, 0_0_9 RAID 0+1 (10) (4+4) Tier 2 1. Create RAID Group and select 4 sets of disks like each pair on one Bus and disks across the DAEs Ex. 0_0_6, 0_1_6, 1_0_1, 1_1_1, 2_0_4, 2_1_4, 3_0_1, 3_0_1

LUNs configuration and SP ownership 1. 2. 3. 4. Generate the RG report on required Clariion Check existing RG has required amount of free space. Carve the luns of required size with other parameters as default. Assign the lun id as EVEN if RG ID is ODD and SP ownership should be SP A and vice versa 5. Make note of LUN ID s to add them to Storage group.

MANUALLY REGISTER HOST (have the WWN and IP of the Host ready) 1. Right click on the storage system name 2. Click on CONNECTIVITY STATUS

Contact ECC team to promote ids on the servers (75700 or 1800 842 4282) Scan for hardware changes using device manager , disks Once the disks are visible. Open Disks Management and complete the disk convert wizard by adding new disks on to it. 5. Make note of new disk numbers added 6. Use Diskpart on W2k3 or Diskpar on W2k severs to create primary partition with alignment offset 64. Diskpart> list disks Diskpart>select disk n (where n is disk #) Diskpart> create partition primary align=64 Diskpart>exit 7. If required- Create mount folder on the root drive and mount the required disk 8. Use Disk management to format the disk and create NTFS file system with allocation size of 64k. 9. Label the mount disks as Mount points ( F\MPDATA ..) PS. If it is a cluster, Scan the h/w changes and if possible move the allocated failover the resources and confirm.

Create mounts on specified root disk right click on the required disk and select change or assign drive letter Click on ADD and select the mount option. Brows and select the mount point created on the root disk ( MP can be created at this point) and complete the wizard 6. Format the partitions as NTFS with cluster size as 64KB unless it is specified 1
