All Power Manual

INTRODUCTION

Ever notice
that people who
spend money on beer,
cigarettes, and
lottery tickets are
always complaining
about being broke
and not feeling well?

Welcome to the ALL POWER PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT and Coaching manuala

60-day program for personal power, success, and achievement! This manual is designed to be
used with the 60 seminar DVD/CD series by Leo Schreven. A very personal manual, its just
for you, and you will find yourself returning to it over and over in the weeks and months
ahead.
Please follow the four steps below exactly as they are given. As you do, I promise
you will become wealthy in every area of your life: spiritually, physically, mentally,
emotionally, and financially.
Step 1. Make a commitment to yourself to do this in the next 60 days.
Step 2. Determine the time and place where you can be alone for 15-20 minutes a day.
Step 3. Listen to the seminar in order, 1-60. The series is designed to take you step by
step to a life of total power and success. It is critical you do it in order.
Step 4. Begin with Seminar 1. Please listen to it without stopping. Then follow the
clear instructions at the end of the seminar on how to follow through on what you
learned. Pull out this manual and do the assignment on the pages provided.
Repeat the process each day for the next 60 days.
You will find extra writing areas for each lesson. The reason is that this seminar is
designed for continuous, steady growth. An example is the seminar on health and fitness.
Your assignment will be to choose three or four areas of your life in which to
improve your health. We realize no one can change everything overnight, so take
good, steady steps. You may choose your first time through the assignment to start
exercising five days a week and to stop smoking. Then the next time through, you may decide
to cut out the fat in your diet and lose some weight. Use this manual as a continual source of
growth until you reach the point of success and power you desire for a fulfilling and happy life.
You will also see many of the seminars preceded by a page with notes, key thoughts,
Bible verses or quotes. I hope you enjoy them and refer to them often.
Remember Gods words. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it
more abundantly! That is what the next 60 days are all about, so go for it, your life is about
to radically change!

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #1

Remember that no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand excellence and success,
than is required to accept failure and poverty!

Idleness is the
only refuge
of weak minds.

Proverbs 1:1-7. These are the proverbs of King Solomon of Israel, He wrote them to teach his
people how to live, how to act in every circumstance. For he wanted them to be understanding,
just, and fair in everything they did. I want to make the simple minded wise he said, I want to
warn young men about some problems they will face. I want those who are already wise to
become the wiser and become leaders by exploring the depths of meaning in these nuggets of
truth. How does a man become wise? The first step is to trust and reverence the Lord!
God does not play favorites, we have all been created unique, but with equal opportunities for
experiencing life to the fullest.
Proverbs 3:16-17, Wisdom gives a long good life, riches, honor, pleasure, and peace.
Around the world 80% of millionaires are self-made. An average of 97% of all self-made millionaires in the world have never gone to college.
You have to accept responsibility for your life. Accepting responsibility for your life is the starting point of all great accomplishments.
If its to be, its up to me.
What is the one common element in all the problems facing us today? That element is human
behavior. Therefore, the solution to every problem in our homes, churches, marriages, business
and personal life is to change our behavior.
Proverbs 3:21-23. Have two goals: Wisdomthat is knowing and doing right, and common
sense. Dont let them slip away, for they will fill you with living energy, they will keep you safe
from defeat and disaster and from stumbling off the trail.

If you take
too long in deciding
what to do
with your life,
you'll find you've
done it.

The very first step to perform and achieve is to accept the fact that deep inside you, God has
placed a vast bank of wisdom, ability, and power that you have failed to withdraw.
Steps to Success:
1. Decide to master every dimension of your life including spiritual.
2. You must know what you want out of life in every area, mentally, financially, spiritually,
emotionally, and physically.
3. You must take specific actions to achieve your purpose and goals.
4. When you take action, notice what results you are getting from your actions.
5. If things are not working then dont despair, just change your approach and try something
else.
6. Learn the power of role modeling other successful people.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #2
Two forces control 99% of all human behavior. They are:

1. The need to avoid discomfort and pain.

2. The desire to gain happiness or pleasure.
Every single thing you do in your life, your work, your business, your marriage, and your
health, is motivated by these two powers.
If you learn to link massive pain and discomfort to any destructive behavior or emotional
habit, then you will avoid doing it at all costs. You can harness the principle of pain or
pleasure to change virtually anything in your life.
What we have to learn, is not how to go out and discipline ourselves not to do something, but
rather to change in our minds what we link happiness and pleasure to, and what we link pain
and discomfort to. What you link pain and pleasure to will shape your entire destiny.
Although most people would deny it, what drives our behavior is simply the programmed
reaction we have to whats painful, or what gives us pleasure, not intellectual decision.
Ultimately, if you want the changes in your life and behavior to last, you must link discomfort
and pain to your old behavior, and pleasure to your new behavior, and condition your mind to
it, till it becomes a permanent part of your nervous system.
The problem is in our mind. Most people have established hundreds of negative, destructive,
limiting, and defiling associations to pleasure, and we should be associating pain to these
things.
Rom.12:2 Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Eph. 4:23 Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
2 Tim 1:7 Be of a sound mind.
Phil. 2:5, Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus.
When you read the Bible or any other good book, it literally reprograms your mind and
associations to link pleasure and happiness to that which is good, honest, true, and pure.
Realize whatever you focus onhappiness and pleasure, or discomfort and painis what is
going to be most real to you. It is critical that you direct your focus as to what you link
happiness and pleasure to, or discomfort and pain to.
If you want to change your behavior you must focus on how not doing something will be more
painful than just doing it. In other words, you must link not taking action with more pain and
discomfort than taking action.

SEMINAR #2

HARNESS THE TWO FORCES

All the powers of the mind should be called into use and developed in
order for men and women to have well-balanced minds. The world is full
of one-sided men and women who have become such because one set of
their faculties was cultivated while others were dwarfed from inaction.

To escape criticism
do nothing,
say nothing,
be nothing.

True education includes the whole being ... It enables us to make the best
use of brain, bone, and muscles, of body, mind, and heart. The faculties of
the mind, as the higher powers, are to rule the kingdom of the body.
Men and women must be awakened to the duty of self-mastery. ...
They need to be impressed with the fact that all their powers of mind and
body are the gift of God. ...
In the common walks of life there is many a toiler patiently treading the
round of his daily tasks, unconscious of latent powers that, roused to
action, would place him among the worlds great leaders. ... Many of our
laborers might today be intellectual giants had they not been content to
meet a low level, but been diligent and let their thoughts and
investigations plow deep.

Step 3.

Now, write down the enjoyment and pleasure you have experienced by not following through.
For example, if you have wanted to lose weight, but have not, what pleasure has that brought
you? Perhaps the pleasure of enjoying junk food and candy? The pleasure of eating all you
want whenever you want? Write about whatever enjoyment or pleasure you have gained by
not following through. Write it down for all five areas.

Now, write down the opposite. Write down all the discomfort and pain you will experience
by not following through. Write down what it will cost you if you dont change. What will it
cost you physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, or in your relationships? What will it cost
you over the next 10 years? Write it all down below and make it as painful as you possibly can.

Step 5.

Last of all, write down every benefit you will receive by taking action right now. List all the
benefits and blessings to you in every area of your lifebenefits now, and as you look down
the road 10 years. Make a long lista list that will inspire and motivate you! Then use this
list in the days ahead to direct your life. Remember, if you dont direct your life, there will be
plenty of people who will! People like the fashion industry, the fast food industry, the media
industry through TV, movies, and magazines. The music industry, and many others.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #3

A common problem is that people keep trying to change their behavior which is the effect,
instead of dealing with the cause behind it. The cause behind it is the principle that people
need to avoid discomfort and pain, and also to have happiness and pleasure. These are the
driving and controlling forces of your life. However, what specifically drives us is our mind
associations to these two forces, so whichever of these two we associate to a situation in our
mind, can and will determine our behavior. The meaning you associate with any behavior will
determine what you do.
All changes in our life can happen in a moment. Believe it!

Your brain can process up to 30 billion bits of information per second, and has the equivalent
of 6000 miles of wiring, and contains about 28 billion neurons. While each neuron acts
independently, they also communicate with each other through an amazing network of over
100 thousand miles of nerve fibers. A neuron can spread information to hundreds of thousands
of other neurons in the span of less than 20 milliseconds.
One problem is that we try to work our way into changing, when in reality our behavior is
rooted in our nervous system, literally in the form of physical connectionsneuron
connections.
Science has clearly proven that the more we indulge in any pattern of behavior, the stronger
that pattern becomes. You unconsciously and consistently develop these neuron associations
by allowing yourself to experience certain emotions or behaviors on a consistent basis. Your
neural strands are literally, physically embedded into your system.
What really creates peoples destiny? What really creates their future? The answer is that
your destiny is based on your daily behavior. Realize that every action you take, big or small
has a reaction on your life. By making simple changes in what you are automatically
conditioned to respond, you can change your behavior.
When a cause is set in motion there is an effect. And each effect stacks up to move your life
in a certain direction. And to every direction there is ultimately a destination.
Remember, your neural associations control your life, even when they dont make sense!
Whenever a person makes a permanent change, the change takes place when the person
themself changes the meaning or association to the problem or event in their life. Most often
this simply involves switching pain to pleasure, or pleasure to pain.
You can condition your mind by repeating a good behavior over and over until a new
neurological path is created. Any pattern of emotion or behavior that is continually reinforced
will soon become an automatic and conditioned response.

you can change

anything instantly.

Ezekiel 36:26: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you.
Romans 8:6: For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace.
1 Corinthians 2:16: ... But we have the mind of Christ.
Philippians 2:5: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
God has given to every human being a brain. We are to educate and train every power of
mind and body in order that we may put it to the best possible use. We are to do all we can to
strengthen these powers ...
Procure every advantage within your reach for strengthening the intellect.
The influence of the mind on the body, as well as of the body on the mind, should be
emphasized. The electric power of the brain, promoted by mental activity vitalizes the whole
system.
The brain is the capital of the body, the seat of all the nervous forces and of mental action.
The nerves proceeding from the brain control the body. By the brain nerves, mental
impressions are conveyed to all the nerves of the body as by telegraph wires, and they control
the vital action of every part of the system. All the organs of motion are governed by the
communications they receive from the brain.
True success in any line of work is not the result of chance, or accident or destiny ... Fine
mental qualities are not the result of accident. God gives opportunities; success depends upon
the use made of them.

anything instantly.

We have just learned about our neuro pathways. When neuro pathways are wired in our brain
we automatically go down those paths of behavior without even thinking. They become
automatic responses that are built into our nervous system. Many of these are negative,
destructive, and keep us from enjoying success.
Below, write the top 5 negative reactions you have in your life that just automatically come
out that are keeping you from success. Start to become more and more aware of these in the
days ahead so you can weed them out. Some examples are: I cant do it! We cant afford
it! Im such a failure.

Neuro associations in my brain that automatically respond and are

destructive to my success.

Now, lets learn how to condition our minds to make lasting changes. Follow these three steps.
In the lessons ahead you will utilize these three steps over and over.
1. Get persuaded. You must get to the place that this must change now. Take the negative
associations you just wrote down yesterday and write down as many reasons as possible why
you need to change these things now. Write what the consequences will be if you dont, and
all the joy you will receive if you do. Make it as painful as possible.

2. Interrupt your present neuro pathways. Below, write three ways to interrupt your negative,
limiting patterns. Remember, a good way is with prayer, a joke, a deep breath, or a Bible
promise. For example, if you have a negative programmed association that always says, I just
cant do it! interrupt it with the Bible verse, I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me!

them below. Then associate massive happiness and pleasure with it, thinking of all the
blessings, benefits, gain, etc. Fix the new association in your brain by repetition. Soon you will
find the old thought pattern is gone, and your brain is automatically programmed with
positive, constructive associations.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #4

The most important decision in life is to make the right decisions.

People are the product of their decisions.

Your life right now is the product of the decisions you have sown in the past.
How are you going to live the next ten years of your life? Where do you want to be ten years
from now? What will your life be like ten years from now?
The answer to those questions is, whatever you decide. Your decisions today will determine
exactly who, what, and where you will be ten years from now. As you look back over the last
ten, twenty or thirty years, were there times when a different decision would have made your
life radically different from today, either for better or for worse?
Right now you can make a decision: Any decision you want, and if you do, you can determine
exactly what kind of life you will have in the future.
Your life changes the moment you make a new, committed decision. Decisions act as the
source of the problems, and incredible joys and opportunities. Decisions turn the invisible into
the visible. True decisions are the catalyst for turning our dreams into reality.
The amazing thing about this power called decision, is that you already possess it.
Your life changes the minute you make a new committed decision.
Remember, to not make a decision, is a decision.
If you make 5 good decisions a week it will add up to 260 major life-changing decisions in one
year. Does that sound good? Well, thats not all, because you will also have eliminated
260 bad decisions. So you can end up with over 500 changes in one year!

the awesome power

of decisions.

Deuteronomy 30:19: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set
before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life ...

You dont hold

your own in the
world by standing
on guard,
but by attacking
and getting well
hammered yourself.

Joshua 24:15: ... Choose you this day whom you will serve ...
Psalm 119:30: I have chosen the way of truth ...
Psalm 25:12 (LB): Where is the man who fears the Lord? God will teach him how to choose
the best.
Isaiah 7:15: ... that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
Proverbs 2:9 (LB): He shows how to distinguish right from wrong, how to find the right
decision every time.
You cannot control your impulses, your emotions, as you may desire, but you can control the
will, and you can make an entire change in your life ... . Let no one say, I cannot remedy my
defects of character. If you come to this decision, you will certainly fail. The impossibility lies
in your own will. If you will not, then you cannot overcome.
Your entire future will be influenced for good or for evil by the path you now choose.

The awesome power of decision lies dormant inside of you. It is one of the most powerful
forces in the universe. It is like having a keg of dynamite with tremendous power and you
hold the match to light it. It is crying out to you, Use me, claim me, muster the courage to
ignite me!
Today, make a decision you are going to harness this powerful force. Make a decision you are
going to break out of auto pilot and put the steering wheel back into your hands. Write a
commitment to yourself to daily make good empowering decisions. Remember, to not make a
decision, is a decision.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #5

7 diseases are now responsible for 3 out of 4 deaths. Coronary disease, stroke, high blood
pressure, arthritis, diabetes, obesity, and cancer. These diseases are primarily linked to what we
eat in the following 7 areas: sugar, refined foods, salt, fat, proteins, beverages, and snacks.
If people would lower their cholesterol to normal, their blood pressures to normal, and quit
smoking, it has been estimated that 82% of all heart attacks before age 65 could be prevented.
Heart disease now kills four out of every ten people.

He who is
outside his door
already has the
hard part of
his journey
behind him.

In men, the second and third most frequently occurring cancers are those of the prostate and
colon. For women, its cancers of the breast and colon. Too much fat and being overweight are
the contributing factors for these cancers.
Just four lifestyle factors, no smoking, no alcohol, a high-fiber, low-fat vegetarian diet, and
normal weight could prevent 74 percent of all cancers found in the world today.
Excess weight lays the foundation for nearly every degenerative disease. Obese people are
three times more likely to have heart disease, four times more likely to suffer from high blood
pressure, five times more likely to develop diabetes and elevated blood cholesterol, and six
times more likely to have gallbladder disease. They also develop more cancer of the colon,
prostate, breast, cervix, uterus, and ovaries.
NEWSTART: 8 Principles to Total Health and Wellness . . . Nutrition, Exercise, Water,
Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest, Trust in Divine Power!
Three bad habits that have to change are tobacco, alcohol, and caffeine.
Diet areas that you need to cut way back in are protein, milk, meat, fat, and cholesterol.
The ultimate diet is living food in a natural vegetarian diet. An editorial in the Journal of
the American Medical Association commented that a total vegetarian diet could prevent up
to 90 percent of our strokes and 97 percent of our heart attacks.
Water is essential to good health. The body loses about 10 to 12 cups of water a day. Food
provides two to four cups of water, leaving us six to eight glasses of water to drink each day.
Always start your day with a good breakfast providing you with 1/3 to 1/2 of your daily
calories.
Exercise strengthens the heart. Exercise lowers blood pressure. Exercise lowers LDL cholesterol
levels and raises HDL cholesterol. Exercise strengthens bones. Exercise lifts depression.
Exercise relieves anxiety and stress. Exercise increases overall energy and efficiency in all areas

38

of our lives. Exercise helps maintain desirable weight levels. It builds muscles and burns fat.
Exercise improves circulation, giving you a clearer mind, and better sleep. Exercise is good for
you!
Health and fitness are not the same. Fitness is, the physical ability to perform athletic
activity. Health, however, is defined as the state where all the systems of the bodynervous,
muscular, skeletal, circulatory, digestive, lymphatic, hormonal, etc.are working in an optimal
way.
Health is always your first goal, fitness your second goal. You get health through aerobic
exercise. Aerobic means, with oxygen, and refers to moderate exercise sustained over a
period of time like walking or jogging. You get fitness through anaerobic exercise. Anaerobic
means, without oxygen, and refers to exercises that produce short bursts of power.
The ideal exercise program boils down to this:
1. Aerobic exercise for 1/2 hour, at least 5 days a week. The purpose is to get your heart rate
up for an extended period of time. A good formula to figure this is the number 205 minus
half your age. Thats your maximum heart rate. To get the best aerobic workout for your
health try to work up to 80% of this number. Walk, jog, bicycle, swim, X country ski, or
do exercise videos.
2. Anaerobic exercise three times a week. Get a good coach, or read up on this through a
good magazine. As you build muscle, you want to be sure to give the muscle time to rest
and rebuild, so every other day is best.
3. Practice deep breathing 3 times a day. Inhale for 5 seconds Hold for 20 seconds Exhale 10
seconds. Breathe deep in your stomach. Do this 10 times, 3 times a day.
To begin successful weight loss you must eliminate soft drinks and snacks. You have to make a
decision to exercise and learn to cut calories. One gram of fat carries nine calories, while a
gram of carbohydrates carries only four calories.
Fat happens when the calories you eat exceed the calories used by the body for physical
activity and maintenance of its functions. These leftover calories are stored as fat. By the time
3,500 extra calories have accumulated, one pound of fat will have been deposited.
Make a few changes a week. What seems impossible now will become very easy in the long
term.

SEMINAR #5,

your greatest wealth

is health.

John 10:10: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may
have life, and have it to the full.
Romans 12:1: Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of Gods mercy, to offer your bodies as
living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God this is your spiritual act of worship.
3 John 1:2: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even
as thy soul prospereth.
1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 (LB): Havent you yet learned that your body is the home of the Holy
Spirit God gave you, and that he lives within you? Your own body does not belong to you. For
God has bought you with a great price. So use every part of your body to give glory back to
God, because he owns it.
1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 (LB): Dont you realize that all of you together are the house of God,
and that the Spirit of God lives among you in this house? If anyone defiles and spoils Gods
home, God will destroy him. For Gods home is holy and clean, and you are that home.
Between the mind and the body there is a mysterious and wonderful relation. They react
upon each other. To keep the body in a healthy condition to develop its strength, that every
part of the living machinery may act harmoniously, should be the first study of our life. To
neglect the body is to neglect the mind.
There is an intimate relation between the mind and the body, and in order to reach a high
standard of moral and intellectual attainment, the laws that control our physical being must
be heeded.
Health is a blessing of which few appreciate the value; yet upon it the efficiency of our
mental and physical powers largely depends ... . Anything that lessens physical strength
enfeebles the mind ...

If you really want to go one level higher, you are encouraged to take the following spiritual
step. Make a pledge to yourself and your Creator through the following Bible promise and
prayer.
Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
To my Creator,
Today I have come to the knowledge that my body is not mine. It belongs to You. It is Your
holy temple. Forgive me for all the times I have treated it as my own. I praise You for giving
me the knowledge of how to take care of it, and I pledge to make the necessary changes so I
can enjoy the abundant life You have promised.
Today I claim victory and power in the decisions I have made. Thank You for giving me power
to eliminate that which is harmful. Thank You for giving me the power to live by the
principles of NEWSTART, to change my diet and my exercise program and to start making
healthy improvements. And as I step by step make continued changes in the weeks ahead, I
thank You in advance for the health and vibrant life You have promised.
To this end I pledge my decision,

6&7

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #6 & 7

Any success program that leaves out God is robbing you of at least 1/4 of the potential power
you can experience in your life.

Sin is the single most detrimental thing there is in the world to destroy your life. Thats just a
fact. Sin is the single greatest enemy of your success and achievement and personal power. Sin
brings the most debilitating emotions into our livesguilt, shame, anger, defeat, etc. Sin
destroys our self worth. It makes you a slave to bad habits that limit your life. It ruins your
relationships. It ruins your health. It can ultimately destroy your financial life and ability to
make money. Sin is really the underlying cause of all our problems and inability to live lives of
success and power. So if you want to live a life of success and power you have to do two
things.

The only difference

between the saint
and the sinner is
that every saint has
a past and every
sinner has a future.

1. Get rid of this thing called sin.

2. Get power over it.
The Bible says, The wages of sin is death. Sin will bring death to your spiritual life, your
physical, mental, emotional, and financial life, not just in an eternal sense, but also death now
in every dimension of your life here on earth.
What you put in your mind is what you are, what you become, and will determine the quality
of your life.
Your spiritual body is far more important than your physical. You see, even with the best care
your physical body will deteriorate in 70-80 years. But, your spiritual body has the potential to
live for eternity.
By beholding you become changed!
For a dynamic devotional life, do three things:
1. Make your time with God your top priority.
2. Make this time personal, where you are alone.
3. Begin by reading the book, More than a Carpenter, then begin reading the four gospels,
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John.
Jesus words contain the power to accomplish whatever they say. And when you read His
words they accomplish in you what they say!
Prayer is for four things:
1. To praise and thank God.
2. To express your love to God personally.
3. To pray for specific things in your life such as physical, or spiritual desires.
4. To pray and intercede for those people who need your prayers.

SEMINAR #6 & 7, Day 19

what are you missing?

Recognize there is a spiritual dimension in your life. By neglecting it you rob yourself of at
least 1/4 of the power you could have. With it, you could have an edge very few people enjoy.
We all come from different backgrounds and belief systems. But no matter where you come
from, or what you believe, we all can logically and intellectually agree the one root problem
we all have is this thing called sin. Our culture has taught us to focus on symptoms, but the
root of every problem is always sin.
The faith that deals with this problem most effectively is Christianity. So, todays exercise is
very simple. Simply look at your life, and acknowledge that sin is what is keeping you from a
life of total success. Then write down what sins you think are holding you back the most and
what symptoms they are causing you. A lot of these symptoms are internal like guilt, shame,
lack of meaning and purpose, lack of self worth, etc. In the next few days we will then deal
with it effectively.

Picture in your mind a backpack filled with all your sins. Each sin weighs a pound.
The backpack is so heavy you can hardly carry it. Then picture God standing in
front of you with a big smile, and a pair of scissors. Picture God cutting the straps of
your pack and see the pack fall overboard with a loud splash. See and hear the bubbles
as it sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Feel the weight disappear as you dump it.
Feel the freedom, happiness, and pleasure of being set free. Enjoy it. Then see God

3. Now, make the intelligent choice to accept the free pardon God offers you, and choose to
believe you are forgiven. Its simply a matter of choice. You can listen to the Devil, who says
you are not forgiven, that you are worthless, that God wont forgive you, or that your past is
too dark and shameful. The Devil is a liar, so why would you want to listen to him? God tells
the truthHe says you are forgiven, cleansed, pardoned, and loved. Since its true, why not
believe it, be happy about it, and have a great day rejoicing in it?

Pray is a

SEMINAR #6 & 7, Day 22

gods five-minute plan.

In this box, write down the main habits or sins that have bound you for years that you
need to claim victory over. Then take one a week and follow the three steps below. In a
few weeks you can be walking in total victory!
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

______________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________

First, you must be willing to let God give you the victory over the habit and choose to no
longer do it. Then, take three simple steps, based on the Bible.
STEP #1
Believe the promise: 1 Corinthians 15:57: But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
This first step is criticaldont miss it! Victory is a gift from God. If you try to stop your bad habit you will fail. If
you struggle and work at it, you will fall and become discouraged. So the first step is simple: Dont try to stop or
quit your habit! Sit back and relax, and accept the victory over the habit as a gift from God! Its that simple!
Now, this is totally contrary to our natures. We feel as if we have to work at itas if we have to try and give it
our best shot. But how many times have you done that and failed? Gods way is a lot easier. Lets say you are
smoking. You simply read the promise, go to God and say, Thank You for the victory over smoking, I accept it as
a gift from You, and praise You that I am now an ex-smoker. Thank You I no longer have to try to quit, Thank
You I no longer have to struggle, I have the victory over it, and it sure feels great!
STEP #2
Believe the promise: Romans 6:11 (RSV): So, you also must consider yourself dead to sin and alive to God
in Christ Jesus.
The second step is simple. Consider yourself dead to the sin or habit in your life. Believe you are dead to it
because God said so. Its done, finished, over. Period. If you smoke, you now consider that part of you dead, and
dead people dont smoke, the last time I checked. If you walk into a store and are tempted to purchase a carton of
cigarettes, you smile and say, Thank You, God, for the victory over smoking! Im dead to it, and it sure feels
good to be dead to that nasty habit! If you have a habit of anger or losing your temper, believe you are dead to
it. Ive never seen a dead person angry. Again, dont try to struggle or fight against the habitjust relax, believe
the promise, and it is done.

55

STEP #3
Do your part: Romans 13:14 (RSV): But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh,
to gratify its desires.
The third step is something you must do. You must do away with anything that feeds the habit. If you smoke,
throw away anything that has to do with smokingcigarettes, ash trays, lighters. If you lust, throw away the
pornography. If you lose your temper, stop watching and reading things that teach that as acceptable behavior.
When you do your part, God does the rest. Throughout the day, memorize these three verses, believe them, stand
on them, affirm them until they are a permanent part of your mind. Any sin or habit can be overcome by these
three simple steps. Its like the story of Peter in the Bible. One night on the sea, Peter saw Jesus walking on the
water. He was amazed and, being born a bit wild, he told Jesus he wanted to walk on the water too. Jesus smiled
and spoke two words. Peter, come. That was alltwo words! Now Peter heard ithe knew God spoke it, so it
had to be true. So he steps out of the boat, and guess what? He walked on the water all the way to Jesus! You
know, the last time I tried walking on water, I sank. Its humanly impossible to walk on water! So how did Peter
do it? He simply believed the two words, Peter, come. And when he believed the Word, God did the miracle.
Its the same for you. You may have a habit that seems humanly impossible to break. If so, quit trying, and follow
the word of God in the three steps. And experience how easy it is when God does it for you.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #8

One of the most important things we can learn is to manage our own emotional states of mind
and feeling. If you dont learn this, it will cost you just about everything important in your life.
How you feel at any given time is 100% the result of how you are choosing to feel at that
moment. No matter what happens around you, or in your life, you are the one in control of
your state. It is important to learn how to manage our emotional states. Its actually very easy
and done in two primary ways.
1. Learn to control your mental focus. You learned these principles in seminars 1-3.
2. Learn to control your physical body and all that it does.
You may have never thought about this, but have you ever realized every emotion you feel is
through your physical body?
The way we walk, the way we talk, the way we gesture and move our bodies and face, all
determine how we feel at any given moment. So if you dont feel good, just change your body
in a positive state.
You can use your body in a way to create any negative unempowering emotion you want, or to
experience any positive, happy and empowering emotion you want.
The way we use our voice, definitely affects our state. Look at your words and what state they
put you in. What level of intensity do your words carry to move you to a positive state of
living? Words are powerful for empowering your life or destroying it.
After your words, the number one way you can change the way you feel at any time, is to
change the way your body moves, and what it does. Remember, emotions are created by
motions. Developing new ways to change your body and its motions is one of the most
powerful things to change your emotional state.
Along with this, it is also so important to have a sense of humor. Laughter allows you to relax,
and keeps you from taking life to seriously. Laughter is the jam on the toast of life, it adds to
the flavor, keeps it from getting to dry, and makes it easier to swallow!
The same goes for your breathing. When people are angry, frustrated, stressed, sad, or
depressed, they tend to breathe shallow. Take 5 deep breaths, and learn to breathe deep. It has
a calming effect on all these emotions.
Learn to change your facial expressions. You have over 108 muscles in your face alone. One
change in a face muscle can instantly change the way you feel. Facial expressions of worry,
anger, tension, sadness, happiness, or joy create the same feelings in your body. So it is critical
to develop new habits of using your face and its expressions.

SEMINAR #8,

What do you really

want out of life?

Proverbs 12:5: The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are
deceit.
Proverbs 15:13, 15, 30 (LB): A happy face means a glad heart; a sad face means a breaking
heart ... When a man is gloomy, everything seems to go wrong; when he is cheerful,
everything seems right! ... Pleasant sights and good reports give happiness and health.
Philippians 4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Sickness of the mind prevails everywhere. Nine-tenths of the diseases from which men suffer
have their foundation here ... . The relation that exists between the mind and the body is very
intimate. When one is affected, the other sympathizes ... . The brain is the organ and
instrument of the mind, and controls the whole body.

SEMINAR #8, Day 23

what do you really
want out of life?

You have learned about the power of your physical body in determining all your emotional
states. However, your culture has taught you differently and has given you many excuses to
blame for your negative emotional states. To succeed at the highest level you need to make a
decision today to take full responsibility for your emotions and never again blame your kids,
your parents, your boss, your spouse or anything else in life.
In the space below write a commitment to yourself to take full responsibility for your body and
all the emotions it creates and never blame anyone or anything else. Remember, no one can
make you feel angry, frustrated, sad, mad or glad without your permission.

what do you really
want out of life?

Pretend you are in a room full of people and you are speaking to them. Pick a topic you love
to talk aboutsomething you know well and enjoy.
1. Now talk about this topic in a dispassionate way. Talk as if you dont believe what you are
saying, yet you are trying to convince the room full of listeners.
Notice what you do when you try this. What happens to your voice quality and volume? What
happens to your body movementshow you stand and move? What about your facial expressions? How do you feel?
2. Now reverse it. Talk about the subject in a passionate wayhow you really feel about it.
Talk as if you really believe it, love it, enjoy it. Talk as if you want everyone to enjoy it
with you.
Now notice what you do when you try this. What changed in your voice? Or, in your body or
your posture? How about your facial expressions? How good do you feel now?
In the space below, record the difference between 1 and 2.

Write down in the left column the negative, destructive behaviors and feelings you
encounter on a regular basis.
In the center column write what situations trigger this behavior or feeling.
Come up with a solution for each negative, destructive behavior or feeling, to change it.
Ask yourself such questions as, Do I need to change the words I use when experiencing
this negative feeling or behavior? Do I need to change my facial expressions or the way I
move? With questions such as these, you can then write positive solutions in the far right
column.

Negative or destructive
behavior or feelings

What situations

Then claim victory in each solution. Commit for today and the days ahead to replace
the old, limiting, destructive behavior and feelings with new, positive, empowering
behavior and feelings.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #9

70 percent of people go through life wishing for success. 10 percent develop their wishes to
the point of desire. 8 percent develop their wishes and desires into hope. 6 percent translate
that hope into belief. 4 percent crystallized their wishes, desires, and hopes and beliefs, into
action, and finally 2 percent make a plan and actually carry it out and succeed.

There are 10 primary characteristics of successful people.

1. They have a definite goal and purpose.
2. They manage circumstances and resources well.
3. They are willing to take risks.
4. They always assume personal responsibility for their life and actions.
5. They always learn from their mistakes.
6. They are always willing to go the second mile.
7. They have control of their appetite and physical health.
8. They have a positive mental attitude.
9. They are constantly expanding their knowledge by reading and talking to other successful people.
10. They have a strength of character, based on their belief in God.
There are 10 primary characteristics of unsuccessful people.
1. They have no goal in life and no purpose.
2. They are controlled by circumstances and environment.
3. They form their ideas about life from TV or the opinions of others.
4. They make the same mistakes over and over and never learn from them.
5. They only do enough in life to get by and lack motivation.
6. They let their habits control them instead of controlling their habits.
7. They always have negative mental attitudes and always blame others.
8. They never want to do anything to improve their situation.
9. No matter how many people tell them, they know it all.
10. They always make excuses and complain.
If you value something, you place importance on it. The direction of your life is controlled
by your values. Its very important to understand that there are three kinds of lifes values. First
are Method Valuesvalues that help us get to our destination. The second are called,
Destination Valuesvalues that give us the things that bring us happiness or good feelings.
And third, Ultimate End Valuesthe values we ultimately seek in life such as love, success,
freedom, intimacy, security, happiness, fun, power, passion, health, spiritual life, personal
peace, approval, and satisfaction. Also the values we ultimately want to avoid like rejection,
loneliness, humiliation, failure, depression, anger, frustration, letting people down, defeat, etc.
Ask, where did my values come from? Are they the result of my personal good choices, or
the results of society, my home, my teachers, the television, or church? Ask yourself, how did
these values become installed in my mind?
Change your values, and you will change your life. If you were to really be the master architect
of your own life, and if you were able to create a set of values that would change your destiny
to the ultimate destiny you desired, what would your values need to be?

example, the most important things in life are not money or to be married. Your Ultimate End values are what money and marriage will give you, such as freedom, the ability to contribute, security,
love, etc. In the left column write these values in relation to your business, career, marriage, home,
health, spiritual life, finances, etc. Be honest with this list in relation to where you are right now in

Conflicts.

As you review the last two pages, you probably have some major conflicts between your
Ultimate End values and your Departing values.
For example, if you put Success as a high-priority Ultimate End value but put Rejection
as your top Departing value, then you have a conflict that is going to manifest itself in your
lifes achievements. Because if you are trying to achieve the pleasure of success without
the discomfort of rejection, you will simply never succeed! If you are ever going to succeed
at the highest level, you are going to have to be willing to risk a lot of rejection! As you
review the two lists in this light, it will help you understand why you do what you do, and
what force is creating your present and future.

Remember, change your values, and you will change your life!

Below, create two new master lists of values, asking yourself this question: What do my values
need to be in order to create my ultimate desired destiny? And what values do I need to
add or eliminate on my list? Create a list that does not conflict.

Master list of new

Ultimate End Values

Do this list first. In the days ahead you will

use this list to live by so take your time and
do it with much thought and care. Your future
success depends on it.

Master list of new

Departing values

Do this list last. Note: this list may remain

blank, however there are some departing
values that can beneficial. Just be sure it
does not conflict with your ultimate
end values.

Now with your list of new values, you can actually change your destiny! You can now live
your life by your priorities. Review this daily so as to condition your mind, and use this daily
to guide every decision you make.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #10

Your beliefs about everything are like absolute commands that rule you. In your life your
beliefs tell you how things are, what is possible, and what is impossible. They tell you what
you can and cannot do. Your beliefs shape every single action, every thought, and every
feeling you experience. Therefore, learning to change your belief system is critical to making
lasting changes in your life.

Success is going
from failure to
failure without a
loss of enthusiasm.

You have hundreds of beliefs in your life, some of which are good, many which are destructive,
and all of them are based on references that you have established through your life.
The greatest lie in this century is that we have been taught to believe that events control our
lives, and that our environment makes us who we are today. The truth is this, its not the
events in our lives or our environment that makes us who we are, it is only our beliefs as to
what those events mean. In other words, how we interpret those events. That is what has
shaped us into the people we are today, and who you and I will become tomorrow.
Often one single experience in our past creates a belief that we carry through life, even if it is
not true. In reality, most of our beliefs are generalizations about our past, based on our
interpretations of either happy and pleasurable experiences, or painful and uncomfortable
experiences.
This presents a threefold challenge.
1. Most of us do not consciously decide what we are going to believe.
2. Often our beliefs are based on past experiences that we have misinterpreted.
3. Once we adopt a personal belief, we forget its just an interpretation, and we begin to treat
our belief as if it is a reality or as if it is gospel truth!
Beliefs have the power to create, and the power to destroy. God gave you the awesome ability
to take any experience in your life, and create a meaning for it, and that meaning can totally
destroy your life, or you can create a meaning that will literally save and enrich your life!
Once accepted, your belief becomes an unquestioned command to your nervous system.
What then really is a belief? A belief is not a thing. It is simply a feeling of certainty you
have about something. It may be factual or not. It is developed by many references in your life
you have used to establish it. We can develop beliefs about anything, if we find enough
references to establish it in our minds. This becomes one of the most powerful tools for
success. Here is why. You will succeed if you believe something as if it is already true in your
life! The reason for this is because our brains cant tell the difference between something we
believe, and something we have actually experienced. This is why Jesus said, All things are
possible to him that believes. When you believe something, and repeat it often enough, your
nervous system experiences and accepts it as real, even though it has not happened yet. That
is a fact.

SEMINAR #10

10

achieving total success

part 2

Proverbs 14:15 (LB): Only a simpleton believes what he is told! A prudent man checks to see
where he is going.
1 John 4:1: Dearly loved friends, dont always believe everything you hear just because
someone says it is a message from God: test it first to see if it really is.
Mark 9:23: Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that
believeth.
The mind controls the whole man. All our actions, good or bad, have their source in the
mind. (The author then continues with an interesting letter she wrote to a patient who was
convinced taking a bath would be detrimental to her health.) If your mind is impressed and
fixed that a bath will injure you, the mental impression is communicated to all the nerves of
the body. The nerves control the circulation of blood; therefore the blood is, through the
impression of the mind confined to the blood vessels, and the good effects of the bath are lost.
All this because the blood is prevented by the mind and will from flowing readily ... you are
impressed that if you bathe you will become chilly. The brain sends this intelligence to the
nerves of your body, and the blood vessels, held in obedience to your will cannot perform their
office and cause a reaction after the bath.
The more you talk faith, the more faith you will have. The more you dwell upon
discouragement, talking to others about your trials, and enlarging upon them, to enlist the
sympathy which you crave, the more discouragements and trials you will have.

part 2

Your beliefs are the primary source of success or failure. Our current culture has taught us to
blame the events in our lives or our environment has made us who we are today. This is a lie.
It is only our beliefs as to what those events mean that determine our destiny.

Grab a chance and

you wont be sorry
for a might have
been.

So once again we have to take responsibility. Today your exercise is simple. In the space
below write a few sentences to yourself that you will take total responsibility for your belief
systems. Commit yourself to weed out all destructive, negative, and limiting beliefs and commit to replace them all with good, strengthening, positive, constructive beliefs that will help
you achieve total success.

SEMINAR #10, Day 29

achieving total success
part 2

Below, write as many of your beliefs as possible. Separate them into two lists: Good
strengthening beliefs and Beliefs that limit and destroy. Try to cover every area of your
lifeyour spiritual beliefs in God, church, the Bible, and morality; your general beliefs about
people, work, politics, money, and life; your personal beliefs in ethics, right and wrong, truth,
fashion, sex, etc. A few examples are given to get you started.

Good strengthening beliefs

I believe the Bible is a guide for successful life.

I believe life is great!
I believe I can make a difference.

Beliefs that limit or destroy

People are stupid.
I cant afford it.
I cant do it.

SEMINAR #10, Day 30

part 2

Now go through the list of beliefs that limit or destroy on the previous two pages. Select five
of the most destructive ones and write them in the five spaces below. Then to the right of
each one, destroy the destructive belief by writing the answers to the following questions.
1.
2.
3.

Consistency is the
last refuge of the
unimaginative.

Why is this belief just plain foolish and senseless?

Was whatever or whomever that taught me this belief worth following?
If I hold on to this belief, what will it cost me spiritually, emotionally, physically,
financiallyand what will it cost my relationships?

77

SEMINAR #10, Day 30

achieving total success
part 2

Now take the top five beliefs that limit or destroy and replace them with new, strengthening
beliefs. For example, if one of the five was, I feel depressed, ask yourself, What do I have to
do in order to feel depressed? I have to believe things wont get better, feel sorry for myself,
believe there is no hope, etc. Then, write down a replacing belief. For example, I believe
this too shall pass. I believe if I volunteer at the church or hospital I wont have time to wallow in self pity. I believe the Bible says we have great hope in Christ!

5 top limiting or destroying beliefs

5 replacement beliefs

After this, begin daily to condition your mind to these new replacement beliefs by
using the three steps you learned in lesson #3.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #11
Character is destiny.

The process of cultivating virtue and overcoming vice will determine a large part of your
success in this life, and in the life to come. Realize as you master your life that any weakness of
character can be overcome!

Good judgment
comes from
experience, and
experience comes
from bad judgment.

Character and personality are not the same. Character is far more important than personality.
Ask yourself some very personal questions. If you had the ability to not be seen and could do
anything you wanted, would you tend to be honest or dishonest? Trustworthy or deceptive?
Respectful or disrespectful? Faithful or unfaithful? Truthful or telling a lie? There is the old
saying, you are what you are in the dark. In the dark, would you shoplift? Cheat on an
exam? Illegally copy computer software? Steal from an employer? Lie on a loan application?
These kind of personal questions can give you an accurate picture of your character.
The diary of Anne Frank has one quote that says, All children must look after their own upbringing. Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right path, but the final
forming of a persons character lies in their own hands. She was right on.
What everyone else is doing is quite irrelevant when it comes to doing what is right.
Follow the principle of excellence. To become excellent at any skill you must practice that
skill. A person does not become good at something by focusing on what to avoid that is
wrong, but by focusing on that which is good and right. In other words we dont just learn to
say, no to vice, but primarily say, yes to virtue. Our ultimate objective needs to be focused
on sowing great character and ethic qualities like being a good sport, polite, friendly,
constructive, mindful, generous, industrious, nice, neat, respectful, responsible, obedient,
cooperative, honest, humble, caring, responsible, self-controling, courageous, just, etc.
The process of character follows this line Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an action, reap
a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap your destination.
The greatest want of the world is the want of men. Men who will not be bought or sold, men
who in their innermost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right
name, men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle on the compass, men who will
stand for the right though the heavens fall.

Proverbs: (LB)
4:23: Above all else, guard your affections. For they influence everything else in your life.

I will permit no man

to narrow and
degrade my soul
by making me
hate him.

14:26: Reverence for God gives a man deep strength.

14:29, 30: A wise man controls his temper. He knows that anger causes mistakes. A relaxed
attitude lengthens a mans life.
16:11: The Lord demands fairness in every business deal. He established this principle.

One-half of the
troubles of this life
can be traced to
saying yes
too quickly and not
saying no
soon enough.

3:3-6: Never forget to be truthful and kind. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart. If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment
and common sense, then trust the Lord completely: dont ever trust yourself.
4:11: I would have you learn this great fact: that a life of doing right is the wisest life there
is.
11:3: A good man is guided by his honesty; the evil man is destroyed by his dishonesty.
11:17: Your own soul is nourished when you are kind; it is destroyed when you are cruel.
12:13: Lies will get any man into trouble, but honesty is its own defense.
12:17: A good man is known by his truthfulness.
12:22, God delights in those who keep their promises.
25:28: A man without self control is as defenseless as a city with broken down walls.
20:10: The Lord despises every kind of cheating.

81

SEMINAR #11

character matters.

11

Every act of life, however unimportant, has its influence in forming the character. A good
character is more precious than worldly possessions, and the work of forming it is the noblest
in which men can engage ... . The mental and moral powers which God has given us do not
constitute character, they are talents which we are to improve and which, if properly
improved, will form a right character. A man may have precious seed in his hand, but that
seed is not an orchard. The seed must be planted before it can become a tree. The mind is the
garden; the character is the fruit. God has given us our faculties to cultivate and develop. Our
own course determines our character.

Only dead fish

swim with the
stream.

... you can control the will, and you can make an entire change in your life ... . Let no one
say, I cannot remedy my defects of character. The impossibility lies in your own will. If you
will not, then you cannot overcome.
It is not through one act that the character is formed, but by a repetition of acts that habits
are established and character confirmed.

Never mistake
knowledge for
wisdom. One helps
you make a living;
the other helps you
make a life.

As in the case of Daniel, in exact proportion as the spiritual character is developed, the
intellectual capabilities are increased.
The mind must be trained through daily tests to habits of fidelity, to a sense of the claims of
right and duty above inclination and pleasure ... . They discern at once the principle that is
involved, and they instinctively choose the right ... . They are loyal because they have trained
themselves in habits of faithfulness and truth.

Issues of morality are the single greatest threat to your success and achievement. The price for
immoral behavior is extremely high. You stand to lose everything. Your home, your financial
stability, your family, your assets, your health, and everything you have worked for all your life.
Is a few moments of pleasure worth losing it all?
Make a decision below to be a man or woman of moral stature. Be proud to be different.
Below, you are encouraged to take the principles you learned in this seminar and implement
them into your lifestyle. Review these principles often, and make them a permanent part of
your neuro pathways.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #12

People who get ahead in life, and lead a life of achievement do so because they have definite
goals, and work every day to achieve those goals. They put all their energy, will power and
effort to achieve the goal, whatever it is.

All winners and successful people have goals and are very decisive about them. All losers have
no goals and are ineffective in everything they do.
Without goals, you will be doomed forever to work for those who have them!
Goal setting is the process of moving from where you are to where you want to be.
You become a creator when you write down your goals.
If you want to discover the unlimited possibilities God gave you, you must find a goal big
enough, and grand enough, and exciting enough, to challenge you to push beyond your normal limits and discover your true potential.
Did you ever realize your thoughts are actual things? Things that actually come to pass that
you can see, touch, and experience? As you think, you create.
Goals are simply dreams, with a deadline.
Its important to also realize that even if you have no idea of how you will achieve your goal,
its still very important to create the goal. Because once it is created, it motivates you to start
moving that direction. Defining a goal is actually 50 percent of achieving it.
Whatever your mind can conceive, and believe, it can achieve.
Every day look at your goals and the reasons why you are committed to achieve them. Put
them in a place where you can see them every day. Make the decision now to begin to follow
through on these goals beginning immediately. As soon as you create a set of goals, you begin
to create momentum.

Everyone has a
talent; what is rare
is the courage to
follow the talent
to the dark place
where it leads.
A committee is a
cul-de-sac down
which ideas are
lured and then
quietly strangled.

Philippians 3:13, 14: Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I
do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are
before, I press toward the mark for the prize ... .
1 Corinthians 9:24, 25 (LB): In a race, everyone runs but only one person gets first prize. So
run your race to win. To win the contest, you must deny yourselves many things that would
keep you from doing your best.

If you are seeking

creative ideas,
go out walking.
Angels whisper to
a man when he goes
for a walk.

What is the aim and purpose of your life? Are you ambitious for education that you may have
a name and position in the world? Have you thoughts you dare not express, that you may one
day stand upon the summit of intellectual greatness ... . There is nothing wrong with these
aspirations. You may, everyone of you, make your mark. You should be content with no mean
attainments. Aim high, and spare no pains to reach the standard.

Discovery consists of
seeing what
everybody has seen

SEMINAR #12, Day 36

goals are dreams
with deadlines.

Goal setting is the most exciting part of Life Mastery skills! Today, you are encouraged to take
two steps.
1. Take the four specific decisions you have made, and type them on to small cards you carry
with you all day. Then morning, noon and night take them out and read them. Ask
yourself, What small action could I take today to accomplish this goal?
2. Create a dream board. Today, buy a poster board and put your dreams on it for the next
year, five years, ten years and twenty years. Put pictures of all the goals and dreams you
have. Write down inspiring thoughts of all these goals. Get creative, get inspired! You
will be amazed a year from now how many of the goals you achieve.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #13

One of the biggest challenges for people, churches, and corporations, is that they resist
change. Yet change is actually your greatest ally. Change is one of the greatest ways to move
your life forward. Especially when the changes involve your habits and rituals.

If you are feeling any emotion, whether positive or negative on a consistent basis, it is simply
the result of a ritual you have established in your mind and nervous system.
What is a ritual? A ritual is simply a ceremony that we do over and over until it has become
programmed in our mind by repetition and is a permanent part of daily life. It is literally a
neuro pathway that is physically established in our brain.
You are the creator of all your emotions, and the rituals that cause you to experience them.
That is one of the most important things you will ever discover.
It is a well known fact that a person comes to believe whatever they repeat to themselves,
whether its true or false. If a person repeats a lie over and over, they will eventually accept the
lie as the truth. Words are powerful. People with a poor vocabulary live poor lives. People
with a rich vocabulary lead rich lives. By simply changing your words, especially the words you
consistently use to describe your emotions, you can instantly change how you think, feel, and
live. The average persons vocabulary consists of about of five thousand words. However the
English language contains over a half million words! So, many of us dont even use 2 percent
of our language! There are over three thousand words related to human emotion. Interestingly,
only about one thousand describe positive emotions, while over two thousand describe
negative emotions. There are 264 words to describe sadness, but only 105 to describe cheerful.
This contributes to why people feel sad more than they feel cheerful. This concept is so
powerful, we dont fully appreciate it. Because if a word does not exist, guess what? You cant
experience it! Along with words, metaphors are also powerful tools. Often if we are feeling bad
about something, its because of the metaphors we are using, and the metaphors that we are
using intensify our negative or destructive feeling. Many of these metaphors need to be
replaced as well.
If you structure your rules in a way where your happiness is dependent upon something you
cannot control then you will never be happy. Our rules are what control our responses every
minute we live. Most of our rules have been set up without our conscious choice. Our rules
have resulted from a vast amount of influences to which weve been exposed. Rules have been
created by society, our church upbringing, our school, our parents, television and people we
have come in contact with. How do you know if your rule is destructive? It is a destructive
rule if it is a rule that is impossible to meet, or if something you cant control determines
whether your rule has been met or not, or if it only gives you a few ways to feel confident and
happy, and lots of ways to feel lousy.

SEMINAR #13
SET YOURSELF FREE.

Proverbs 11:9 (LB): Evil words destroy. Godly skill rebuilds.

13

Galatians 5:1: Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not
entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Proverbs 15:4 (LB): Gentle words cause life and health; griping brings discouragement.
John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
Proverbs 16:24 (LB): Kind words are like honey, enjoyable and healthful.
Isaiah 61:1 (LB): The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me ... to bring good news to the
suffering and afflicted, He has sent me to comfort the broken hearted, to announce liberty to
captives and to open the eyes of the blind.
It is a law of nature that our thoughts and feelings are encouraged and strengthened as we
give them utterance. While words express thoughts, it is also true that thoughts follow words.
If the thoughts are right, then as a result the words will be right.

In this lesson we want to deal with habits that affect our daily rituals, rules, words, and thoughts.

RITUALS

Below write three negative or disempowering rituals you do daily. For example, waking up
grumpy, complaining, talking about problems, watching too much TV, being depressed, etc.

you do it? [write] I put my head down, I shuffle my feet, I cry, I frown, I think negative
thoughts, I think of all the people that hurt me, and how life is so unfair, I remember all my
failures, etc.

What did you learn? Mainly, youve learned the keys of how easy it is to follow positive
empowering rituals. Remember those keys.
From the previous page, take the three negative rituals and write them on pg. 98. Now, lets
follow the usual three steps to do away with them.
1.

Write down all the pain and discomfort the negative ritual has brought to you and others.
Write what that negative ritual is costing you now and will in the future in every area of
our life. Then write all the benefits and pleasure you will receive by not performing that
ritual any more.

2. When you catch yourself entering into a negative, disempowering ritual, interrupt it
immediately in any way you choosea prayer, a Bible promise, a song, etc.
3.

Create a new ritual to replace the old, using the keys you just created. For example, if you
have a ritual of acting depressed, replace it with a new ritual. Smile, stand up straight,
breathe deeply, and say, Im going to live life to the full today, and begin by thanking
God for every blessing in my life! Do these three steps on the following page.

Ritual habits in our rules

In this lesson we have discussed your personal rules. Most of us have created lots of rules that are
impossible to meet, and therefore we feel bad. Few of us have created rules that make us feel
good. So take time to rearrange your personal rules in the following areas. Design your rules so
you are in control, and dont let the outside world determine this. Write them so they are easy
to achieve, and so its hard for you to fail. Specifically write your rules based on good principles.

Bonus exercise
Ritual patterns in our thoughts

Lets also begin today a mental cleansing. Lets erase mental habit patterns that hold you back,
and install new ones to propel you forward. It takes an average of 21 consecutive days to
permanently scratch out old thought patterns and install new ones. So for the next 21 days,
make a decision to follow these four steps.
1. For the next 21 days, claim victory over any negative, wrong, disempowering,
discouraging, or detrimental thoughts, words, questions, etc.
2. When you catch yourself beginning to dwell on these negative things (it will happen),
immediately replace the thought with a presupposing question such as, What needs to be
changed in this? What good could come out of this? How would Christ deal with this?
3. During this 21 day period, focus only on solutions to the thoughts, not on the problems.
4. If you make a mistake and find yourself dwelling on a negative or detrimental thought,
dont get on yourself. Just turn the mistake into a victory by acknowledging it, and turn it
around by using points 2 and 3.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #14

References boil down to all the experiences of your life that you have recorded in your
nervous system. These references influence everything.

One of the most powerful Bible references is the belief that there is no such thing as a bad
experience. All of us have experienced things that to one degree or another in life have hurt
us, and left negative and sometimes very painful references. Thats life. But, how we interpret
those references makes all the difference of who we are, and what we become. If there is
something in your life right now that hurts you, or makes you feel bad, its only because of the
meaning that you have linked to it. This kind of thinking is so narrow-minded and
destructive! If you want to expand your life, then you must expand your references!
Remember, any limits that you have in your life are probably just the result of limited
references. Expand your references, and youll immediately expand your life. Ask yourself, In
order for me to really succeed at the highest level, to achieve what I really want in my life,
and be all that God wants me to be, what are some of the references I would need?
Your identity is the ultimate filter of all you think and do. Its the filter of all your references,
beliefs, and values. Your identity is simply the belief that you use to define your own
individuality. Its what makes you unique from other individuals. All of us act consistently
with our views of who we are, whether the view is accurate or not. You can change anything
by choosing to change your identity. As you develop new beliefs about who you are, your
behavior will automatically change to support your identity. One shift in your identity can
shift your entire life. Your identity is nothing but the decisions you make about who you are,
and what you decided to identify with. You become the labels that you give yourself. So, who
are you? Ask yourself, Am I who I want to be? What more can I be? What more will I be?
Who am I becoming now? Who and what does God want me to be?
Fear is simply an emotional state where our brain is activated to avoid pain. Fear and its
relatives are the worst enemy of your success and achievements. Take the fear of failure. If you
are honest, do you realize failure is impossible? The only way to fail is to tell yourself you
failed. To get over this fear of failure is easy. All you have to do is change your rules of what is
a failure. If you are experiencing fear of failure, its because you have some rules that are not
legitimate or that are destructive. Ask yourself, What would I attempt to do if I knew I could
not fail? You would do almost anything! The truth is, you cant fail! Failure is only temporary
defeat! So, to overcome any fear just question if the fear is legitimate or not, is it based on
reality and fact, and is it the result of rules and beliefs that are based on a false premise? Its
the same with the fear of rejection. The only way you can feel this fear of rejection, is to make
yourself feel rejected. Nothing else can generate that emotion except you. Rejection is just a
storm of false emotions in your brain. All you need to do is create a new set of rules of what
rejection means. Remember, what you associate to rejection is your choice.

Romans 8:15 (LB): And so we should not be like cringing, fearful slaves, but we should
behave like Gods very own children.

One man with

courage makes a
majority.

2 Timothy 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of
a sound mind.
1 John 4:18: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Psalm 118:6: The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

You may be
disappointed if you fail,
but you are doomed if
you dont try.

Deuteronomy 31:6: Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the
Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Proverbs 29:25, (LB): Fear of man is a dangerous trap, but to trust in God means safety.
Proverbs 10:24, 25 (LB): The wicked mans fears will all come true, and so will the good
mans hopes. Disaster strikes like a cyclone and the wicked are whirled away. But a good man
has a strong anchor.

Faith is always
stronger than
failure.

Mental culture is what we as a people need, and what we must have in order to meet the
demands of time. Poverty, humble origin, and unfavorable surroundings need not prevent the
cultivation of the mind. The mental faculties must be kept under the control of the will ... . It
is a law of the mind that it will narrow or expand to the dimensions of the things with which
it becomes familiar.

no fear.

Overcoming fear and self defeat

Experience is what
you get when you
didnt get what you
wanted. Courage is
resistance to fear,
mastery of fear, not
absence of fear.

Below, make a list of fears and other things that destroy your self confidence. A few examples
are given.

FEARS

Fear of what others think.

Fear of being rejected.
Fear of failing.

As always, take the three steps to change this.
1. Look at each fear and become persuaded that you do not want these fears to control your
life in any way. Write down all that this fear is costing you. How much of life have you
missed being a slave to this fear, and what have been the consequences of being bound by
this fear? Then write all the benefits and joy that would be yours if this fear were overcome.
2. Interrupt the pattern. When you find yourself feeling fear or expressing it or being controlled by it, quickly interrupt the fear with whatever works for you. I always use a Bible
promise or a body motion to interrupt such things.
3. Create a new set of rules about that fear. A lot of people make it so easy for them to feel
bad. Turn your fear into a laugh or a joke. For example, consider the fear of rejection.
Create new rules for what it means to be rejected. When you think about it, the most
rejected people in history were also the most successful. So every time you feel rejected,
you immediately sense that rejection is the key to successit makes you feel stronger, it
makes you better, because now you know one more way not to try, etc.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #15

Adults dont like to ask questions because we resist change, and fear new things. We avoid
asking questions, and stick rigidly to the established ways. Thats not for me, lets not rock the
boat, thats the way weve always done it, why bother? And yet the truth is, without questions
life stops, and people, churches, and businesses never attain their full potential. Much of what
we do as we master our lives and seek success is to ask and answer questions.
George Bernard Shaw said, Some men see things as they are, and say, why? I dream of things
that never were, and say, why not?

Matthew 7:7 says, Ask and you shall receive. God tells you, there is a divine principle, if you
ask a limiting question, you will get a limited answer. If you ask a depressing question, you will
get a depressing answer. If you ask a stupid question, you will receive a stupid answer. Asking
the right questions, will accomplish three specific things. First, questions immediately change
what we are focusing on, and therefore how we feel. The second thing questions accomplish is,
they help us know what to delete. The 3rd thing questions do, is provide new alternatives we
have not thought of before. When you question something, you have to find a solution, or an
answer. Realize you have this tremendous power at your disposal every moment of the day. A
great way to utilize this power is to start your day asking some basic questions that will really
enrich and bless your life. Questions like, what do I have to be thankful for?, or, how many
things can I think of to praise God for?, or, what things am I going to get to do today that are
exciting?, or, how much more do I love my spouse today than I did yesterday, and what will I
do today to make her happy?
You will find that all successful people look at problems as challenges. They realize that without problems, everything would come to a stop. Problems are what keep us moving forward.
The most important thing in solving problems, is to learn to spend 80 percent of your time on
the solution, and only 20 percent on the problem. Then ask the question What do I need to
do to turn this problem around? Remember the power of questions. When it comes to solving
problems most people specialize in asking really bad questions like, why do I always have so
many problems? Or, how come this always happens to me? Or, why does God always let
this happen to me? Asking these kinds of questions will never solve your problems! Realize
your problem is not unique. Thousand of others have faced the same problem and solved it, so
role model them for solutions.
Writing your problems out on paper is very helpful. Most people say they feel a real sense of
relief after they do it. The reason is, you were able to clearly define the challenge, and all of a
sudden you realize, I really dont have that many major challenges in my life! Often what
has appeared as an insurmountable mountain becomes a little ant hill we can step right over.

dont worry, be happy.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (LB): Many others have faced exactly the same problems before you.
And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so
strong that you cant stand up against it, for he has promised this, and he will do what he
says.

A certain amount
of opposition is a

dont worry, be happy!

Problem solving is much easier when you master the power of questions. Lets do a couple
of exercises that will help you develop this area of your life.
1.

Remember what it was like to be a child. You had endless imagination, anything was
possible, creative energy flowed out of your mind and inspired you with the wonder of life.
Make a clear decision to become like a child again. Make a decision to get out of the
adult mode of sticking rigidly to the established ways and fearing new things. Review
your decision every day.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #16

What do you think about all day long? Whats on your mind most of the day? Whatever it is, did you
ever notice that you think in pictures?

There are three things you cannot discipline or control. First of course, is God. Second, is your five
senses. Your sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch, may all deceive you. The third thing is your
subconscious mind. This part of your brain acts only in response to emotions that stimulate it. Now, you
can control your emotions, and that will definitely have an effect on your subconscience, but you have
no direct control over it. Recognize that your subconscious mind functions on its own, whether you
make any effort or not to influence it. Its also known, that your subconscious mind is more susceptible
to influences that carry feeling or emotion, which explains why so many people run their lives by
feeling and emotion.
The subconscious mind can be compared to a car, while your conscious mind can be considered the
driver. The power is in the car or your subconscience, not the driver. The driver however, has the
ability to release and direct the power.
You do have the ability to control your conscious mind. Your conscious mind is where all thinking and
reasoning occurs and all information and data is processed. Your conscience is located here telling you
whats right and wrong. The conscious mind is constantly developing and growing. In the subconscious
mind there is no thinking, no reasoning, and no deliberation. It only acts instinctively in response to
your emotions. Any dominating thoughts that you permit to occupy your conscious mind, whether
these thoughts are negative or positive, are passed from the conscious to your subconscious mind and it
is influenced with those thoughts. This is almost scary. Realize your subconscious mind takes any orders
that its given from the conscious mind, and acts upon those orders as they are repeatedly given.
Your subconscious mind will translate into reality any thought whether positive or negative. If you fill
your conscious mind with anger, hatred, immorality, and swearing, then all that has been fed into your
conscious mind. Most of this carries intense emotion. Immediately your conscious mind passes this to
your subconscious mind, which then actually translates it into physical action. You will do what you
have seen and heard. You cant help it.
The subconscious mind cant tell the difference between reality or not. Everything that goes in the
subconscious is accepted as fact and reality. It accepts that you are the one that is angry, or swearing or
actually doing the killing. But the good news is this. It also works the other way. If you feed your
conscious mind things that are good, true, pure, kind, and empowering, with any degree of emotion, this
too will be passed into your subconscious mind, and this will be translated into its equivalent in your
physical life which will come out in words and actions in a positive way.
Herein lies another one of the great secrets of success. You see, when you try to change your behavior by
working at it, you always fail. Right? You cant change your outward actions permanently, until your
subconscious mind has been renewed, which is done by feeding the conscious mind good pictures,
words, emotions, and thoughts!
Its totally your decision as to what you will focus on. The effects of a negative mental attitude will
destroy your enthusiasm, limit your imagination, undermine your self control, make you discouraged and
complaining, and throw your reasoning ability out of gear, while you make yourself miserable and
everyone else around you.
A positive mental attitude can be cultivated and give you success, help strengthen you both physically
and mentally, give you peace of mind, faith, friendship, wisdom, and understanding. A positive mental
attitude can literally change the entire chemistry of your body.

seeing roses or thorns.

I had a dream not long since. I was going through a

garden and you were by my side. You kept saying, Look
at this unsightly shrub, this deformed tree, that poor
stunted rosebush. This makes me feel bad, for they seem
to represent my life ... . A stately form walked just before
us and said, Gather the roses and the lilies, and the
pinks, and leave the thistles and unsightly shrubs ... .
Now I want you to consider this, and put away your
distrust, your worrying, your fears ... God has spoken to
you words of encouragement, grasp them, act upon
them ... . Do not listen to Satans lies, but recount Gods
promises ... . O how many walk a dark path, looking to
the objectionable, unlovely things on either side of them
when a step higher are the flowers.

A positive attitude
may not solve all
your problems, but
it will annoy enough
people to make it
worth the effort.

seeing roses or thorns.

Today, realize that God operates on fixed laws. Everything in the universe runs on fixed laws.
If you obey them, you reap the blessings. If you disobey them, you reap the painful
consequences. The universal law is that you reap what you sow. Whatever you sow in your
relationships, your finances, your spiritual life, your body, or your mind is what you will reap.

Your culture has taught you to blame everyone and everything. Even religious people often
use God or Satan as their excuse for when good or bad happens to them. Today, you must
take full responsibility for your mind and what goes in it. Quit allowing the TV industry, the
movie industry, the music industry, the fashion industry, the fast food industry, and everything
else to access to your mind. Make a solid decision you will control from this day forward what
goes in your mind and only put in things that are good, loving, kind, excellent, pure,
wholesome, educational, fun, exciting, positive and true. Get in control and stop letting
everyone and everything else control you.

Lets remember a few important things.

At birth you received two sealed envelopes, as it wereone labeled Rewards and the other
labeled Penalties. The first contains all the benefits you will receive if you take control of
your mind. The second contains all the painful consequences you will experience if you
neglect to control your mind.
If you open the one labeled Rewards, you will attract circumstances that make you successful. You will enjoy physical and mental health, financial independence, a life of fulfillment
serving and blessing humanity, peace of mind, faith and confidence that conquers all fears,
lasting friendships, longevity, and abundant life, wisdom, and even immortality!
If you open the one labeled Penalties, you will end up in poverty and misery, mentally and
physically bankrupt, mediocre and limited, fearful and filled with hate, with many enemies
and few friends, full of worry and doubt, unable to control your life, and you will end up
another wasted life.
To help you choose that envelope of Rewards, lets do an exercise that will make it fun and a
permanent part of your life. Answer the six questions below.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #17

If you can become wealthy in every area of your life, like your health, your spiritual life, your
emotional life, why not be wealthy in your financial life?
Most people have learned far more negative associations to money then they have positive.
This is why 95% of the population by age 65, after a lifetime of work, cannot support themselves without help from government or family.

Another challenge is that people have mixed associations to what it would take to have more
money, and what it would mean to have more money. We have studied how our brain works
in a previous seminar, and discovered it only knows what to do when it has a clear message
about what it needs to avoid, and what it needs to move toward. But when it comes to money,
we often send our brain mixed signals, and so we get mixed results! The primary reason people
dont accumulate wealth, is because of their negative associations to money.
Another reason why so many people never achieve financial wealth, is because they think its
too complicated. They feel its too difficult to learn how to make money. That is simply not
true. We have learned that God has given us the ability to master any area of our lifeour
mind, bodies, emotions, and our destiny. Your financial world is no different.
The third reason why people never achieve financial wealth, is because they believe theres a
limited amount of money available. They think, in order for me to win this game of wealth,
someone else has to lose. This is totally ridiculous. There is more than enough money in the
world so that everyone could be a multimillionaire with no problem.
Wealth begins with desire. Creating wealth happens just like anything else in your life. It
begins with a desire to no longer live in poverty, from week to week waiting for the next paycheck. A desire that says, I want to be wealthy financially just like Im wealthy in every other
dimension of my life. So wealth again begins in your mind. It must be made a priority just
like your spiritual health, your physical health, your emotional health and every other important area of your life. If you dont desire wealth, you will never have it. Both poverty and
riches are the offspring of thought.
Self-made millionaires are in most cases average people of just average intelligence. Most millionaires have never completed college, however 93 percent of people that have completed
college are working for them! Surveys reveal that 86 percent of self-made millionaires come
from working class backgrounds, and most started with no opportunity at all.
The first step to achieve financial wealth is to have a sense of purpose or a goal that you have
focused on. You must know in your mind exactly what you want to accomplish. Then you
must write out your goals very clearly and specifically, then create a written plan of action to
accomplish it. Less than 3 percent of people have clear, written, specific goals financially. And
interestingly those 3 percent are the people who own 93% of the worlds wealth.
126

If you dont have clear, specific, written goals and a plan of action to achieve them, you will
be stuck for the rest of your life working for other people who do! Plan your work, and then
work your plan!
The second step to creating wealth, is to always strive to do your best.
The third step to becoming wealthy is to focus on creating or designing a business that will
contribute to or serve people. Most wealthy individuals simply found a need, and by filling
that need, found an opportunity to make a fortune. Or, they took an established product, business, or service, and found a way to improve on it, and make it better, or faster, or cheaper, or
more successful. One of the best ways to discover these opportunities is to look for anything
that people complain about, or that frustrates them, and figure out a way to fill that need.
The fourth step, if you want to achieve wealth, is to become responsible for your personal life.
Losers always make excuses, winners make progress. Losers blame others, winners accept total
responsibility. Everything that will ever happen to make you successful financially is up to you.
The fifth step to achieving wealth is, you must work. All self-made millionaires, are hard
workers. Studies have shown that millionaires work an average of 10 to 14 hours a day.
Millionaires use the same time productively that most people waste every day watching TV,
gossiping, socializing, playing computer games, and sports. The same studies showed that if you
work eight hours a day, you will only achieve survival. But everything over eight hours is an
investment in your financial future. You can tell where youre going to be in five years from
now by asking yourself how hard youre working today.
The sixth step to create wealth is learning to manage your time well. We all have the same 24
hours in a day. Its what we do with those 24 hours that determines our destiny. Studies have
shown that wealthy individuals calculate their time in minutes, whereas the majority of poor
people calculate it in days or weeks.
The seventh step is determination and persistence. A characteristic of most people that are
wealthy is their ability to stick with it and be more determined than other people.

Tell me how you use your time and how you spend your money, and I will tell you where
and what you will be ten years from now.
The first step to financial freedom is to get rid of the negative associations about money that
have been planted in your mind. Look at every influence that has shaped your views of
money. Your parents, the church you were raised in, the school you attended, the friends you
surround yourself with, the TV programs you watch, etc. Then ask yourself,
What are some of the negative beliefs I have that are keeping me from increasing my
personal wealth? Write these beliefs below, and then destroy them. You must weed out every
negative thought about money before you can obtain it.

creating financial
wealth, part 1
(continued)

Poverty does not

produce
unhappiness: It
produces
degradation.

Lets take the now-familiar three steps in relation to wealth building and apply them.
1. In the space below, write about all the discomfort and hassle in your life due to a shortage
of finances. What in life are you missing out on? What do you want for yourself, your family, and friends that you cannot give? How many bills and creditors do you owe? How does
all that debt feel hanging over your head? How bad do you feel when you cant give to
your church or to a needy charity? You have got to link massive pain and discomfort to
your lack of financial wealth, until you get to the place where you say, This has to
change! After this, write until all the blessings and benefits that abundant finances
would provide for you. Freedom from worry, being able to provide your family with all
they need, the ability to give thousands of dollars to your church and those in need, the
freedom to travel, security, fun. Write it all down.

SEMINAR #17, Day 51

creating financial

2. Lets interrupt our old patterns of financial beliefs. When you find yourself linking pain to
money, interrupt the pattern with something. Maybe a quote like, How can I afford it?
Or maybe a Bible verse, The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends
whatever he gets. (Proverbs, 21:20.) Or maybe a joke, Money cant buy happiness, but
it sure makes misery easier to live with! What will you consistently use to interrupt your
negative patterns?
_____________________________________________________________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________
_____________________________________________________________________________
3. Lets create new associations to replace the old beliefs, and then attach incredible happiness and pleasure to these new beliefs. For example, the old belief said, Money doesnt
grow on trees. Say instead, Right, it grows in tax deferred investments, a small homebased business, and opportunities everywhere around me!!!

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #18

Spend less than you earn, and invest the difference while maintaining long term goals.
Most people make all their economic decisions based on the short term, rather than on the long
term which is why they die poor or broke.
Lets say you are a parent. And your first child has just been born. If you put $8500 into a fund,
earning only 8 percent a year, and assuming your child will be in a 25 percent tax bracket, your
child would be able to retire at age 65 with just over one million dollars! That same amount at
12% would let your child retire a millionaire at age 52.
The first and primary way you should invest is through your companys retirement plan, or taxdeferred savings plan. You save four ways. First, the actual money you are putting in every
month. Second, you often gain an automatic 50-100 percent growth by your company matching
your investment. Third, because your money is growing tax free, you dont have to pay tax on
any money you invest in tax-deferred investment which can add another 20-30 percent. Fourth,
you saved the compounding interest month by month which can add another average 7-8
percent.

The difference between saving money by itself, or saving through a tax-deferred investment is
astronomical! Especially over the period of years. Lets say you are thirty-five years old, and you
earn 60 thousand dollars a year, and lets say you put 6 percent of your annual income, or three
hundred dollars a month into a safe investment earning 8 percent a year. By age 65 you would
have a total of $185,744 after paying a 30 percent tax. On the other hand, if you were to take
the same amount of money, and put it into a tax-deferred account and left it there to compound
untouched, your money will grow to $4O7, 820 by the time you are 65! Thats a huge difference!
$185,000 compared to $4O7,000. And if you work for a company that matches your investment,
as many companies do, you would easily have over a million dollars.
The principle of compounding interest is something I cant emphasize enough. If you really want
your investments to grow fast, you must reinvest, not spend, the profits of your investments as
they grow. Here is a simple and dramatic example of the power of compounding. If you fold a
cloth napkin which is 1/32 of an inch thick, once, how thick is it now? Its 1/16 of an inch. Fold
it a second time, now its 1/8 of an inch. On the third fold, it is 1/4 of an inch. On the fourth
fold, it will be 1/2 inch, and by the fifth fold, it will be one inch. Heres the question. How many
times would you need to fold this napkin before its thickness would reach the moon? (The moon
is 237, 305 miles away.) Believe it or not, you would reach the moon in the 39th fold!
Thats the power of compounding! A small amount of money compounded over 30 years, can be
worth a fortune.
You cant afford it? Lets say you buy a watch for $500 dollars, when you could have bought one
for $100. The difference of $400 dollars, earning 11% for 25 years will grow to $6000 dollars.
Thats the REAL cost of the watch, not $500 dollars, but $6000 dollars. It is important to lean
to think this way.
136

Financial stress is killing our culture. The average american family now has: two children, raised
by daycare or TV; Dad and Mom both work; insufficient annual income; excessive tax burden;
massive mortgage payment; little or no spending money; extreme credit card debt; less than one
months income in savings; 2-4 weeks paid vacation; focus on lack of money and how to make
ends meet; high stress. Lack of money is the #1 cause of: divorce, child abuse, stress, suicide,
bankruptcy, spouse abuse, working until the day we die.
There are only four ways to make money.
1. Work a job as an employee by trading time for money.
2. Own a job where you trade time for money.
3. Be a business owner where you have a system making money for you if you work or not.
4. Be an investor where money works for you and makes more money.
At All Power we want to move you from being an employee to a true business owner.
Wealth is a very important subject to God. If you read the four gospels you will find Jesus talked
10 percent more about money than he did about heaven and hell combined. Two-thirds of the
parables of Jesus are about money! In fact, there are more than 1500 references to money in the
Bible! Gods plan is uniquely different. God operates on fixed laws. First is the Law of
Ownership. The Bible unequivocally says God owns everything in this world (PS. 24:1). God is
specific about his universal ownership (Hag. 2:8, PS. 50:10-11). All we have is on loan from
God. We own nothing. This then brings us to the next Law of Stewardship and Servanthood (1
Cor. 4:1, 7:20-23). Our place is that of a steward and servant of God. The job of a Steward and
servant is to manage and oversee that which belongs to someone elseGod. Stewards recognize
that all under their care belongs to someone else. So the question is, how have I been managing
Gods wealth, and how do I plan to manage it in the future? Be a good steward of Gods wealth.

Proverbs: (LB)

3:9, 10: In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with
success. Honor the Lord by giving him the first part of all your income, and he will fill your
barns with wheat and barley and overflow your wine vats with the finest wines.
6:6-11: Take a lesson from the ants, you lazy fellow. Learn from their ways and be wise! For
though they have no king to make them work, yet they labor hard all summer, gathering food
for the winter. But youall you do is sleep. When will you wake up? Let me sleep a little
longer! Sure, just a little more! And as you sleep, poverty creeps upon you like a robber and
destroys you.
10:4: Lazy men are soon poor; hard workers get rich.
11:24, 25: It is possible to give away and become richer! It is also possible to hold on too
tightly and lose everything. Yes, the liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he waters
himself.
13;11: ... Wealth from hard work grows.
13:4: Lazy people want much but get little, while the diligent are prospering.
14:8: The wise man looks ahead.
21:20: The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets.
22:3, 4: A prudent man foresees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them; the simpleton
goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. True humility and respect for the Lord lead a man
to riches, honor and long life.
24:3, 4: Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and
profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.
Luke 19:11-24: And because Jesus was nearing Jerusalem, he told a story to correct the
impression that the Kingdom of God would begin right away. A nobleman living in a certain
province was called away to the distant capital of the empire to be crowned king of his
province. Before he left he called together ten assistants and gave them each $2,000 to invest
while he was gone ... . Upon his return he called in the men to whom he had given the money,
to find out what they had done with it, and what their profits were. The first man reported a
tremendous gainten times as much as the original amount! Fine! the king exclaimed. You
are a good man. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, and as your
139

reward, you shall be governor of ten cities. The next man also reported a splendid gainfive
times the original amount! All right! his master said, You can be governor over five cities.
But the third man brought back only the money he had started with. Ive kept it safe he
said ... . You vile and wicked slave, the king roared! ... Why didnt you deposit the money in
the bank so that I could at least get some interest on it? Then turning to the others standing by
he ordered, take the money away from him and give it to the man who earned the most.

What did you learn from your budget? The vast majority of people are amazed at how much it
costs simply to live! But more than that, they are amazed to see where all the money goes!
However, here is the most important item. Most people spend beyond their budget.
Now that you know what your budget is, agree together with all family members that you will
not spend one penny over the budget. Period. Once this discipline is in place, you can then
begin to creatively think of ways to generate extra income. Make the decision below to not
spend one penny over the budget you cant afford.

SEMINAR #18, Day 54

creating financial

Today is probably the most important day of your financial life. Please do this exercise with
much thought and will power. If you do it, your financial life will change forever.
You have learned there are only four ways to make money.
1.
2.
3.
4.

Work a job as an employee by trading time for money.

Own a job where you trade time for money.
Be a business owner and have a system making money whether you work or not.
Be an investor where money works for you and makes more money.

Ask yourself today, Do I want to spend the rest of my life trading time for money? Do I want
to be content to spend my life fulfilling others dreams rather than fulfilling my own? Am I
going to achieve survival and pay my bills or am I going to live in financial abundance? Am I
going to stay in this insane circle where I just come home and write checks to other rich people? Do you want to spend the rest of your life with a boss telling you when you can come
and go or take a vacation?
Today is your day to make a decision to get out of the Rat Race and move from being an
employee to a business owner. Make this powerful decision below and write a commitment to
yourself.

Now that you have made that decision, you are encouraged to make one more major one.
Financial freedom comes when you have multiple streams of income coming in from a variety
of sources. This can be a home-based business, rental properties, a website, a network business, profits from products or services, etc. This kind of income rolls in without you having to
be there and is known as Residual Income.
At All Power we have an education system available to help you create this residual income.
We will discuss more of this tomorrow. For today, you are encouraged to make a list of things
you would enjoy doing that could create residual income. This exercise is one you should do
over the next month as new and fresh ideas will come to you all the time. Think about the
following to get you stimulated:
1.
2.

3.
4.
5.

Who are you writing checks to and paying money to every month?
Why are you not one of these people or business owners so people are writing you checks
every month?
What books could you read to educate yourself in this area?
What role models could you follow and learn from that are doing it?
What already exists that I could do better, faster, cheaper, or newer?

SEMINAR #18, Day 55

creating financial
wealth, part 2

Today again, is a most important day in your financial life. Do this with
great care and thought.
The difference between rich and poor is primarily one thing. Education.
The rich write the rules and few people take the time to educate themselves to understand
them. Educating yourself is the difference between being rich or poor.
At All Power we have designed a 12-month education course that will help you achieve this.
If you will commit to do it, you will join the thousands of others who have become financially
free through opening a home-based business and creating a residual income and huge tax savings. The choice is yours. You can work 40 hours a week for 40 years, achieve survival, get
paid only once for your effort, pay huge taxes, and struggle for years.
OR,
You can take one year, get educated, work hard for 2-3 years, and be financially free the rest of
your life paying little or no tax with multiple streams of income coming in each month.
Please read the next few pages with great care, and then make a decision to do it.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #19

85 percent of all the pleasure in life come from our ability to get along with others.
Relationships are unique to any other thing in life mastery. In our activities with other people
we get almost all we want and desire in an indirect way, rather than a direct way. In relationships the more you give the more you receive.
1.

2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.

In your relationships with people always look for the good, and impute the best motive
possible to others actions and words.
In your relationships with people, never criticize.
Get to know the values and rules of those people you are in a relationship with.
Be big enough to say, Im sorry, forgive me.
Acceptance. Accept people for who they are no matter what.
Appreciate. A thank you goes a long way. Always appreciate and be courteous.
Approval. Sincere praise and approving of people makes a huge difference in relationships.
8. Admiration. Genuinely admire people, and complement them.
9. Agree. Always be kind, finding the points you can agree on, rather than disagree.
The first key to a successful marriage relationship is to get your own life together with God,
then get control of your decisions, your health, the forces that direct your mind, your values,
beliefs and character. Gain the victory over destructive habits and rituals, limiting beliefs, fear
and failure and master your life. A broken relationship is due to people taking four steps
Resistance, Resentment, Rejection, and Repression (the four Rs).

Build your relationship on the principles of the Bible. The Bible says in Ps. 127:1,
except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.
Build your home on Gods love. It is a principle, that you cannot experience true love,
until you are filled with Gods divine love.
Make sure you are equally yoked together in your beliefs and values.
Study relationships, marriage, love, sex, and how to create a successful marriage.
Live your marriage on this principle, Dont ask what I can get out of this relationship,
rather ask, what can I give to it?
Always be sensitive to each others rules and values.
Establish a rule together, that you will never try to change each other, but only work on
changing yourself for the better.
Communicate openly the moment something bothers you, or makes you feel insecure.
The last major area to a successful relationship is the simple act of forgiveness.

Forgiveness involves putting the past behind, and never bringing it up again. It means only
saying and doing positive things to build up the one you love. It means trust on both sides.
It means if one of you slips and forgets, the other does not get defensive or critical, but
kindly points it out and encourages the other to do better.

Ephesians 5:25, 28: Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and
gave himself for it; So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his
wife loveth himself.
1 Corinthians 7:3: Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also
the wife unto the husband.
1 Peter 3:7 (LB): You husbands must be careful of your wives, being thoughtful of their needs
and honoring them as the weaker sex. Remember that you and your wife are partners in
receiving Gods blessings, and if you dont treat her as you should, your prayers will not get
ready answers.
Romans 12:10: Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring
one another.

Proverbs (LB):

5:18, 19: Let thy fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the
loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished
always with her love.
18:22: The man who finds a wife finds a good thing: she is a blessing to him from the Lord.
19:14: A father can give his sons homes and riches, but only the Lord can give them understanding wives.
31:10: If you can find a truly good wife, she is worth more than precious gems!
Marriage isnt a theatrical performance. Substance counts more than show.
Marriage isnt a political rally. Dont make promises you cant keep.
Marriage isnt a computer. Theres no limit to the amount of good memories you can store.
Marriage isnt an automobile. You dont trade in your old model for a new one every
hundred thousand miles.
Marriage isnt a competitiion. If your partner wins, you win. If your partner loses,
you both lose.
Marriage isnt an amusement park. You dont leave as soon as the fun comes to a stop.
Its a relationship you believe in enough to stick around until the fun returns.

In marriage there are four steps that cause a broken relationship. They are:
Resistence,
Resentment,
Rejection,
Repression.
Ask yourself, are you at any of these steps at this point? If so, it is not too late to turn it
around. Follow these four steps in the days ahead.
1. Build your relationship on the principles of the Bible. The Bible says in Ps. 127:
verse 1, except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.

2. Build your home on Gods love. It is a principle, that you cannot experience true
love, until your filled with Gods divine love.

3. Be equally yoked together in your beliefs and values and things you enjoy doing
together. There is always give and take here, but do all possible to have as much in
common as possible and have fun.
4. Study relationships, marriage, love, sex, and how to create a successful home and
marriage.

incredible
relationships.

Great relationships boil down to a few simple principles. Write the answers to the following
questions specifically regarding your relationship with your spouse. However, notice that the
principles apply to nearly all human relationships.
1. If you approach a relationship with what you can get out of it, your relationship will die.
Today, what could you do to bring happiness and pleasure to the one you love? What can you
give to make them feel loved?

2. What primary things cause your mate to feel loved? Do they want to hear you say it often?
Do they want to feel it by touch, or by you taking time to listen to them? Do gifts of flowers,
cards, or sweets tell them? Does your confidence in your spouse tell them? The way you
dressa back rub? Ask your loved one, What makes you feel the most loved by me? Write
these answers below.

3. What primary things cause your mate to feel unloved? Do you criticize him or her? Do you
say things that hurt or are insensitive? Do you try to control your mate and make him/her
what you want him/her to be? Are you argumentative? Do you treat other men or women
better than your spouse? Are you jealous or insecure? Ask your loved one, What things
do I do that make you feel unloved? What can I change in my words, attitudes, deeds, and
actions, that might hurt you, or cause you to not feel loved?

4. What states do you often find yourself in that are detrimental to your relationships? Do
you feel frustrated toward your mate? Do you ignore the one you love? Are you too busy
for him/her? Are you tense, angry, or bitter? Do you feel negative or as if the passion is
gone? Do you feel deprived or not appreciated? Write these things below and the reason
why. Then in a loving manner, discuss it with the one you love. Then write a solution to
each one. Bring back the passion, the fun, the romance, and the intimacy.

5. Forgiveness is a major contributor to a successful relationship. Many relationships have so

much baggage that is taken along every day, it becomes an existence, not a joy.
Forgiveness involves putting the past behind. It means never bringing it up. It means only
saying and doing positive things to build up the one you love. It means trust on both
sides. It means that if one slips and forgets, the other does not get defensive or critical, but
kindly points it out and encourages. In the space below, ask each other to forgive you in
writing for anything that has caused a barrier or has hurt the other. Then write a pledge to
forgive and forget forever. Then write a love letter to your mate and tell them of all the
things you love about them, think of everything you can to appreciate them, praise everything you can about them, then give the letter to them.
Forgive me for:

(continued)

Remember these biblical principles to also enhance your relationship.

1. Establish your own private home, and keep others out of your sacred circle, especially
parents and In-laws. Genesis 2:24.
2. Continue your courtship, and the little things. 1 Peter 4:8, Romans 12:10.
3. Guard your thoughts carefully. Exodus 20:17, Proverbs 4:23, Philippians 4:8.
4. Keep Christ the center of home. Psalm 127:1, Proverbs 3:6, Philippians 4:7.
5. Pray together. Matthew 26:41, James 5:16.
6. Love, as Christ loves you. Ephesians 5:25, Colossians 3:19.
7. Never nag or criticize. Proverbs 21:19; 27:15, Matthew 7:3.
8. Always speak kindly and softly. Proverbs 15:1.
In 1 Corinthians 13, the Bible gives a simple model of Love. If you make it your daily
practice to measure up to it, you will live in a relationship that is a piece of heaven on
earth.
Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never
haughty, selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy.
It does not hold grudges and will hardly notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad
about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins. If you love someone, you will be loyal
to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of
him, and always stand your ground in defending him. All the special gifts and powers of
God will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever.
In your own words below, write a pledge to live up to this standard of love in all your
relationships from this day forward.

KEY THOUGHTS SUMMARY

SEMINAR #20

There are 3 kinds of people that go through a seminar like this.

The first is the dabbler. He plays with it for awhile, but is not really serious about changing
his life. The dabbler gets bored, and tired, and quits after a few days. If you have gotten this far
you are definitely not that kind of person!

The second kind is what is called the fire works fanatic. They take a program like this and go
through it in a few days, they get excited, and motivated, and really look good until they hit a
plateau, and suddenly burn out. They typically dont do the work in the manual, and therefore
have no solid root, and they give up and quit the program.
The third person is who I want to challenge you to be. That is the Master. Masters
understand that the way to have ultimate life long success is to practice the fundamentals every
day. Masters take the things they know, and then work on perfecting them. Masters keep
moving day by day steadily to the next level. Masters commit to daily consistent action toward
their lifes purpose. I encourage you, and urge you to see this point as just the beginning of
mastering your life. A successful life of achievement and power is built day by day, year by year.
One step at a time. Solid daily progress.
Take the next week and spend each day reviewing two or three chapters of your manual. Do
the lessons again and strengthen your resolve on each one. After you review your manual for a
week, I encourage you to go through the All Power Seminar again by listening to the cassette
tapes or watching the video. The first time through, you are bombarded with a vast amount of
information, coming to you very quickly. There are things you did not catch the first time
around. But you will the second time around. Continue to apply what you learn, and, if you
would find it helpful, get another new manual, and fill it in again. The second time through
apply even more than you did the first time. Continue this for one whole year.
When you get to that point, where you really feel and know that you have achieved and
mastered the principles in this seminar, then I want to invite you to go to the next level. Learn
to share it with others. You will find as you master your own life, it will create in you a desire to
share all the good news you have learned, and to help others. Mastering your life is addictive.
And you will find yourself wanting to contribute to others in the world, and make a difference.
You can start by conducting a seminar in a small group setting at your home, church, school or
office. Put on the video, and give everyone a workbook. This is an easy way to share all you
have learned.
Commit yourself to be a life long learner, that you might teach others. And remember, live
every day with All Power!

tools necessary to build a successful lifea life rich in every way. In the next week, I
encourage you to read over the manual daily. Continue to grow and make progress every day!
Above all, remember, this is just the beginning. A successful life of achievement is built day
by day, year by year. If you completed this and were able to apply even 10 percent of the
information, then you have already drastically changed your life and future! Now is the time
to move on and continue to progress. Next month, listen again to the entire series. You will
catch things you did not the first time around. The second time around, apply even more than
you did the first time. Continue this for one whole year. Listen to the seminars and do the

they never thought possible. His non-profit ministry provides free seminars and materials worldwide and 1/3 of
his year is spent in volunteer labor worldwide. His signature All Power Seminar is a series of 20 seminars that
teach people to master their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial lives. His favorite saying is:
At the end of life it is not how many breaths you took that matter; it is how many moments you lived that took your
