( ! buoy product circuit composed of piping, e;pansion pieces, pipe swivels, and lea7 detectors. ( !n anchoring system comprising si; chains attached to anchor piles at one end and attached to different points around the buoy at the other. ( /loating hoses with ancillary handling gear and win7er lights. These will connect the piping on the rotating part of the buoy to the tan7er manifold. Should welds fail to meet the quality requirements, the ompany reserves the right to increase the inspection requirements depending on the level of weld. 'egardless to any other method of inspection used, all welding will be sub$ected to visual inspection. Fisual inspection will include chec7ing the fit(up of $oints to be welded to see that they are in proper alignment and conform to the requirements of the welding procedure in respect to groove angle, root face, root opening cut etc.

Suitable gauges will be used to measure the weld reinforcement. 'adiographic testing will be in accordance with paragraph D.5 of !.% Standard ++53 for piping and Section 25 of !BS, 'ules for Building and lassing Steel Fessels for Structural Steel. 'adiographic testing will be required for the following welds) +55? of all butt weld $oints in the piping systems. +5? of all butts and seams of bottom shell, center well, dec7 plating and bul7heads. !ll T($oints of butt welds of turn table support to buoy dec7, center well and central pipe. <ne shot on each of the butt welds of the top and bottom plate of the turn table. <ne shot on each butt weld of the cylinder of the turn table. <ne shot on each butt weld or mooring lug to brac7et. +5? of ma$or butt welds of turn table platform. +55? of butt welds of buoyancy tan7. %n case of defects, e;tension shots will be ta7en. 4ocation of C(rays will be mar7ed in accordance with attending surveyor/ ompany@s representative. .enetrameters will be used for all C(rays. >ltrasonic testing will be required for the following) +55? of bearing support ring on turn table and turn table support. +55? of all welds connected to mooring lugs and brac7ets. +55? of connection of turn table top and bottom plate of cylinder. +55? of connection of dec7 plate and center well top plate to cylinder of turn table support. >.T. on &K& welds will be done from sides of the &K& weld using angle and rectangular probes. Magnetic particle and dry penetrant testing will be required for the following) !ll welding inside chain stopper support. +55? of gussets connected to the bearing support rings.

The >.T. reports will indicate the identification of weld and welder, date, type of equipment used, probe used, calibration technique, gain setting and result. !rrangements for witnessing *:T is to be mutually agreed between ompany representative. ontractor and

%n case of defects, the cause of the defect will be established and eliminated before any repair wor7 is carried out. The ontractor will have an option to substitute ultrasonic inspection by radiographic inspection in which case all welds of the buoy body and turn table will be +55? radiographically tested. 1atertightness of the buoy and its compartments "including the dec7# will be tested after complete fabrication of the buoy body. 8ach compartment of the buoy body "including the dec7# will be pressure tested by filling with air at a test pressure of 5.2 7g/cm 9 and all seams, hatches, flanges and other seals will be coated with a soap solution and visually e;amined for lea7s.

!fter satisfactory completion of all tests specified in this section, the buoy will be lowered in water in order to chec7 the total weight of the buoy, the draught, watertightness and trim of the buoy by ballasting. !fter fabrication of buoy piping, the completed piping system with valves, swivel and e;pansion $oints will be hydrostatically tested for a period of , hours. !fter fabrication of .48M piping, the piping system complete with valves, receiver, etc. will be hydrostatically tested for a period of , hours. The turn table will be tested after installation to ensure that it meets the design requirements when rotated through 2,58 in either direction with the central pipe unit. Test pressure will be design pressure and rotation in either direction will be for a minimum period of + hour. !fter installation of the anchor piles and chains laid on the seabed, the chains will be tensioned against each other to a force equal to the ma;imum design mooring load on the chains and anchor piles. This wor7 will be done by the %nstallation ontractor primarily to straighten the chains and will also serve as an on site load test for piles and anchor chains. /loating hoses and underbuoy hoses will be tested during and after manufacture as prescribed under BS) +32- and Buoy Mooring /orum =ose Standard. Manufacturer@s test certificate in relation to production sample test will be submitted to the ompany prior to dispatch/supply of hoses. !ll hoses will be supplied with three copies of each of the test certificates relative to each of the tests prescribed above. !fter stringing of hoses on board the installation barge and before installation, the complete string with all fittings such as valves or buoyancy tan7, etc. and fitted with blind flanges at each end will be tested to the design pressure for a period of 2 hours. The complete system consisting of the floating hoses and the underbuoy hoses connected to the piping of the SBM will be hydrostatically tested after the %nstallation ontractor in the presence of the ontractor@s %nstallation 8ngineer to a test pressure maintained at design pressure for a continuous period of twenty(four hours. Buoyancy tan7, if required, will be tested for watertightness after fabrication for the design depth of water. The ontractor will indicate his procedures for conducting the tests. The athodic .rotection System will, after installation, be tested by the ontractor to ensure that the system functions within the design parameters laid down in the specification. !ll other materials and systems will be tested at the fabrication site to ensure that they are

capable of functioning within the design parameters, loads, and/or speeds in this behalf specified relative to each in these specifications. !fter launching and when afloat, the buoy will be ballasted to give its e;act trimE the ballast can be removed afterwards if required for shipping. INST!LL!TION !SSIST!NCE ontractor will supply %nstallation Manuals as a guide to the %nstallation ontractor. %t will include such drawings and details as are required for proper installation of the SBM system. The %nstallation Manual will include, but not be limited to) %nstallation !ffi;ing the chains to the pile anchors and SBME !ffi;ing the floating hoses to the SBM and installing the associated systems and buoysE !ffi;ing the underbuoy hoses to the SBM and the .48M outlets and installing their associated systemsE %nstalling on the SBM certain fi;tures, equipment instruments and accessories, such as foghorn, navigation aids, pressure gauge"s# and other sensitive instruments dismantled for safety during transportationE !ffi;ing the mooring lines to the SBM and installing the associated mooring system. Testing .ile anchors for SBME omplete buoy mooring systemE /loating and underbuoy hose stringsE and omplete SBM cargo unloading systemE i.e., floating hose strings, buoy piping and underbuoy hose strings up to entry to .48M. The ontractor will also depute an %nstallation 8ngineer during the entire installation period of SBM system for assisting and advising %nstallation ontractor in the installation of the SBM system.

The SBM system will be installed by the %nstallation ontractor generally as per procedures of the %nstallation Manual furnished by the ontractor and in accordance with the advice and approval of the ontractor@s %nstallation 8ngineer. %n the event of failure on the part of the %nstallation ontractor to comply with the above requirements, the %nstallation 8ngineer of the ontractor will promptly serve written notice, pointing out such failure on the part of the %nstallation ontractor to the ompany. ommissioning for the purpose of this specification will mean mooring of a tan7er and pumping of crude oil to the tan7er through the submarine pipeline, .48M and SBM system. <n completion of installation of the SBM system and on request by the ompany, the ontractor will depute a Mooring Master for advising the ompany on all aspects of tan7er mooring, loading and re(mooring operations, etc. for a period of 3 wee7s. M!NU!LS !N OT"ER ITEMS The ontractor will, as part of the supply of the SBM, prepare and furnish to the ompany in ten sets, detailed procedures and recommendations for and relative to) +. <peration of the SBM and .48M and associated systems, facilities, and components. 9.
