Scholarship applications requiring a school endorsement are to be submitted for consideration to the guidance office a minimum of three weeks before the application deadline. Final dates for submission of preliminary applications will be noted in the published scholarship information for those scholarships advertised through their websites. Students should note that post-secondary scholarships for both college and university applicants are often based on criteria other than academic excellence. Many awards also consider factors such as learning disabilities, financial need, community involvement and volunteer activities. Many scholarships and awards have fall/winter application deadlines! Ontario Student Assistance Program www.osap.gov.on.ca 1. OSAP Financial Aid a range of programs that, based on financial need, offers non-repayable grants as well as loans you must repay. Fill out one application to be considered for everything, including 30% Off Ontario Tuition. 2. 30% Off Ontario Tuition money you don't have to repay, designed for students entering a public college or university program from high school, or within four years of graduating from high school. You can apply for this program without applying for OSAP. The Ontario First Generation Bursary is funded by the Government of Ontario and distributed by public colleges and universities of Ontario. Applicants who are the first in their family to pursue a college education or apprenticeship training may be eligible for an Ontario First Generation Student Bursary.
