REFLECTION

Lesson plan prepares a lot of importance and benefits to the teachers and learners. A good lesson plan is essential in having an active classroom climate. In addition, lesson plan as a guideline to teach the subject. It keeps them on track to meet the learning objective of the lesson. Proper classroom planning will keep teachers organized and on track while teaching, thus allowing them to teach more, helps students reach objectives more easily and manage less. The better prepared the teacher is, the more likely they will be able to handle whatever unexpected events that happens in the lesson. From the lesson that I had observed, I feel that overall, most of it was a satisfactory lesson with many good aspects. The planning and structure were good, the pace was partly good. Nevertheless, most of the lesson ending was weak. During the lesson, the teachers had put in great efforts in preparing their teaching aids. From the set induction to closure stage, the activity were nicely plan. Problems occur during the exchange of the stages, where some of the activity they had planned exceeds the time limit that they had allocated for each stage. Also from the lesson that I had observed, I found that all the lesson objectives were achieved at the end of the lesson. Although there were parts in their lesson plan were not that effective, the students still enjoyed the activity. There are moments when the students had several difficulties in comprehending the lesson, but they manage to overcome the problem by implement a good pedagogical principles in that area of their lesson in order to teach the students. Their learning objectives were successfully achieved. There was some confusion during the lesson but they picked up on this. Pupils showed a good understanding of lesson, and were able to give good feedbacks. All pupils could work confidently on their lesson.

Comparing with our group lesson plan, we found that, our lesson plan have its own good and poor qualities. Our learning objectives were met at the end of the lesson. All students could relate to our activities in each stage because our activities in each stage are in sequence and easy to understand. The students also can give good feedbacks from the lesson. They find that, their new found knowledge is beneficial to them. Our planning was good, which helped us to get the lesson off to a purposeful start. Teaching materials were at the right level, and this helped us to keep pupils on task. Unfortunately, there were many flaws in our lesson plan. One of the biggest flaws in our lesson plan is time management. Our lack of practice leads us to a disastrous result. We cant finish our lesson on time. Also, our teaching aids nee ds more improvement to make the lesson more attractive and interactive. With good teaching aids, our lesson could be a lot effective and interesting for the students. The activities in our lesson plan also can be modified to become more students centred to attract more students participation in the class. In the end, from my observation of the entire lesson plan that had been implemented and also the lesson plan that our group had implement in the class, theres still many aspect needs to be taken into co nsideration for further improvement. Even though this is our first try in conducting a lesson using our own lesson plan we can conclude that it is a good try and I would like to thank everyone who helped in accomplishing the task especially to our lecturer, Madam Nagamah A/P Raju Sathian also my fellow group members.
