Premier Electroforged Gratings is the recommended style for general Installation. It is economical, durable and the most versatile of the various types of metal gratings. Precise, automated production equipment combines hydraulic pressure with a powerful electric welding current to electro forge the cross bars and bearing bars into a single rigid panel. This method eliminates cracks or open joints which might harbor moisture or other corrosive materials. The twisted steel cross bars of our Electro Forged Gratings provide excellent traction and a flush surface. Our standard manufacturing and installation tolerances conform to the grating industry standard as established by the National Association of Architectural Metal Manufacturers - NAAMM. Our Electroforged Gratings in standard sizes and styles, is usually available for same day shipment. We have a state of art fabrication unit of 9540 Sq. mtr. for manufacturing Electro Forged Gratings with ultra modern fabrication and welding facilities. Our gratings manufacturing machine is imported from Germany, with an installed manufacturing capacity of 18,000 MT per annum. Our manufactured products are regularly inspected by third party inspection agencies like : Lloyds Register of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, EIL, IDEA, MECON Ltd, PDIL, M.N. Dastur & Co., DNV etc.

Our Company offers a complete engineering and design package in support of its range of gratings. It includes the design of the most appropriate and economical system of any particular application, calculations of desired loading, provision of grating layout drawings if required, and its safety considerations. Fabrication of Premier Gratings to meet job plans and specification is an important part of our manufacturing operation. At Premier Gratings you will always find a staff of engineers & fabrication specialists ready to produce the grating that fits your requiremet exactly backed by a quality control team and shipping experts who make sure each panel matches your specification and is keyed, packed and shipped for the fastest installation on your job. With Premier grating, you can be confident of satisfaction with each order you place because Premier grating guarantees both the product quality and the fit of every piece of grating that we manufacture and fabricate. At Premier Gratings we offer a range of standard grating styles that will meet almost every requirement. If none meets your needs perfectly, well produce a custome style that does ......... then cut it, notch it, band it and do whatever else is needed for a perfect job. The range of material includes standard mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other metals are available for special situations.
The passage of an order through the plant is a simple procedure because the system is organized and executed by specialists in grating fabrication. We can work with approved drawings or use the architects or engineers design drawings including shapes, cut outs, penetrations, toe plates, banding, etc., and we also provide drawing for final approval. Our engineering department will evaluate the application, supports & load requirement, and recommend the type and size of gratings i.e. most appropriate for the jobs, and our fabrication department will produce it in panels that provide you with the greatest economy and ease of installation. Each panel that we produce is made under the strict quality control standards that are part of every Premier Gratings product and each undergoes a final inspection individually for product quality and in the final layout form to assure compatibility with the other panels and strict conformance with the submitted drawings. These are services that are included in the price without extra cost.
Material Standards
Mild Steel Premier Electro Forged Gratings utilize high quality Mild Steel for load Bearing Bars & Cross Bar, which meets the requirement of IS 2062 Gr A, ASTM A36, BS4360 Gr. 43 A, JIS G3101 SS400 & KSD3505 SB41 Stainless Steel SS Electro Forged Gratings can also be manufactured. The normal grades used are SS 304 & SS 316, but other grades can also be considered upon request.
Manufacturing Standards
Premier Electro Forged Gratings are designed and manufactured in accordance with relevant international standards. The figures found in the Load and Deflection tables are calculated in complaince to BS 4592 Part1, 1987, while the manufacture of Premiers Grating conforms to the requirement of BS4592 1970, the Metal Bar Gratings division of the National Assocation of Architectural Metal Manufacturers (NAAMM) and Singapore Standard SS 363 - 1993
Surface Treatment
Premier Electro Forged Gratings are generally supplied in either of the three finishes : 1. Galvanized - Hot Dip Galvanizing conforms to the following International Standards : IS 4759, KS D8308, ASTM A123, BS 729, JIS H8641. Giving an average minimum coating of 610 grm/sq. mtr. 2. Painted - It is possible to supply painted Electro Forged Gratings according to users painting specification 3. Untreated - No rust protection, thus allowing quicker delivery to clients who fabricate their own gratings.
Quality Testing of Grating

Deflection Test - Deflection can be measured by Uniform Distributed Load (UDL) or concentrated load method. Deflection Test strength of panel should be on 500 Kg of UDL or 25 Kg. CL on one flat with minimum deflection of span / 200 or 6mm which ever is less. Pull Load Test - Strength of the Electro Forge joints of bearing and cross bar is tested by applying maximum pull load to get the fracture at the weld joints.

The center distance between the two bearing bars adjacent to each other is called Pitch of bearing bar. * Standard pitch is 21, 30, 33, 35 and 40 mm by the use. Close End Type
Cut End Type
Pitch of Cross Bar

The cente distance between two cross bars adjacent to each other is called pitch of the cross bar and its standard is 50, 75 & 100 mm. Both ends are divided by the width. The cross bars are usually made up of square twisted bars & M.S. Rounds. The standard square twisted bars that can be provided by us are 5, 6 & 8 mm Dia & the M.S. Rounds that can be provided by us are ranging from 5, 6, 8, 10 & 12 mm Dia. Steel Gratings Type

Premier Electro Forged Gratings come in 4 different Bearing Bar construction.
IB - Type (I - Bar Grating) The bearing bar comes in the form of an I Section. This type of grating is used where high strength is required and light weight is critical. Ranges : I25 x 5 x 3mm to I75 x 7 x 4mm
FB - Type (Flat Bar Grating)
The bearing bar comes in the form of a plain surface flat bar. Commonly used for platforms and walkways Ranges : F19 x 3mm to F100 x 10mm
SI - Type (Serrated Bar Grating) The bearing bar comes in the form of an I - section with the top surface formed by series of notches. These type of gratings in addition to its high strength & light weight capabilites has also its non-slip characteristics Ranges : SI25 x 5 x 3mm to SI50 x 5 x 3mm
SF - Type (Serrated Flat Bar Grating) The top surface of the bearing bar are formed by a series of notches thus enhancing its non-slip characteristics. It is particulary suitable for use in slippery conditions such as oil refineries, tankers, stair ways etc. Ranges : S25 x 3mm to S100 x 10mm

1. Type of Grating - Specify the type of Grating required from the above 5 main type of standard products. 2. Dimension - Nominate type of standard 1.2 6.1m / 1.0 6.1m / 0.9 6.1m panels required, nominate whether banding is required. For non-standard panels, nominate dimension for length and width of individual panels. Where larger area of floor is to be covered provide the following details : a. Shop drawing of grating zone. b. Detailed drawing of beams, pillars and their joints. c. Setting positions of stairs and procedures of stair, railing, piping and etc. d. Size and location of cutouts, kick plates & nosing. For stair treads, select from our range of standard types and nominate dimension and quality. Our recommended length and width should be nominated for economical orders. 3. Finishing - Nominate the type of finishing required i.e. Untreated, Painted or Hot Dip Galvanized. 4. Fastening Methods - Where fastening of clamps are required, select any of our 2 types of fastening units available. Fastening units should be provided for on the basis of minimum of 4 units per panel.
