9:34 a.m. Everyone meets at DIA (West Side - across from the United Airlines Ticket Counter) for check-in. Your Celestial Travel & Tours Director will oversee the group check-in process. ****All bags and luggage must be checked through to Frankfurt**** 12:34 p.m. Group departs Denver International Airport for Munich via United Airlines (Boeing 737-800) flight #1643. Food items can be purchased by debit or credit card. The flight is 3 hours and 50 minutes. Group arrives at the Newark Liberty International Airport (Terminal A). The group departs Newark for Frankfurt, Germany via United Airlines (Boeing 777-200) flight #50. Dinner is served on this flight, along with coffee, tea, water, juices and soft drinks. We MUST make sure all luggage has been claimed and then proceed through customs. You will not be allowed back in the baggage claim or customs area to retrieve any items left behind. Triers Roman ruins have been on the Unescos list of World Heritage since 1986. The cities landmark is the Porta Nigra, Latin for black gate, dating back to 180 B.C. Visit the Roman baths and the Constantine basilica, a throne hall of the 4th century AD, and today a protestant church; and the 2nd century (AD) Roman bridge which is still in use for traffic.

Your first destination today is Rothenburg ob der Tauber for sightseeing and lunch (est. driving time 2 hours).
ROTHENBURG OB DER TAUBER is one of the Finest medieval towns in Germany. After prospering during the middle ages, the town suffered greatly during the Thirty Years' War and never recovered its former importance. As a result, the architecture has kept its 16th century appearance. At Whitsuntide each year there is a festival commemorating the noble mayor, who saved his town by drinking a three-quart jug of wine in a single swallow. This impressed the commander of the enemies so that he spared the town. Dont miss out on a walk on the old city walls or a visit to the Museum of Medieval Justice with its torture chambers.

REGENSBURG is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Germany, much of the surviving architecture dates to its glory days between the 13th and 16th centuries. The municipality list no fewer than 1,300 buildings as being of historical interest. The Cathedral Dom St. Peter is held by many to be Germanys crowning Gothic example and is famous for both its 14th-century stained-glass windows and its internationally renowned boys choir, the Domspatzen (Cathedral Sparrows).

Early lunch on your own. Short, a cappella concert at St. Peters Cathedral at noon or 1 p.m. PM Leave for Salzburg (est. driving time 3 hrs.). Late afternoon arrival in Salzburg, your bus will drop you off near the old town for free time and supper (on own).

The CSU Pueblo Choir will perform a programme at Mass (11:30 am). 2 hour walking tour of Salzburg, see Mirabel Gardens, Catacombs, etc. with local guide.
Guided tour includes a guided visit to the Mozarthaus, W.A. Mozarts birth place. Due to its scenic countryside and splendid architecture SALZBURG is one of the most beautiful European cities. The beautiful Mirabell Gardens, St. Peter's Church, the Residence, and the 11th Century Hohensalzburg Fortress which dominates the city from its hilltop location, are points to visit. If any country can claim to be the capital of music, it is Austria many renowned composers contribute to the Salzburg Music Festival, which takes place annually in July and August.

Monday, May 12, 2014 Salzburg Munich (via Berchtesgaden and Dachau)
Breakfast at your hotel. AM Board bus for the short transfer to Berchtesgaden. (45 minutes). Visit the documentation center Obersalzberg (open year-round), then take the shuttle bus and elevator up the Obersalzberg to see the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest), IF open for the season, which usually starts in mid-May, depending on the weather. Lunch on your own at the Kelhsteinhaus, alternatively lunch in Berchtesgaden. PM Continue to Dachau (driving time 2.5 hrs.) and tour the concentration camp memorial site (at your own pace , with audio guides). *** The introductory film is last shown in English at 3:00 pm. Munich / Neuschwanstein

Embark on a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle (est. driving time 2 hrs. 15 minutes one way please be there one hour before the tour to pick up tickets and make your way uphill to the castle).
NEUSCHWANSTEIN castle was constructed by King Ludwig II in honor of Richard Wagner, the musician Ludwig admired most. The castle was meant to be a setting for Richard Wagner's opera "The Ring of the Nibelungen". Actually, Ludwig II spent only 170 days in his castle, he died in 1886 - before the constructions of the castle were finished. If it looks vaguely familiar to you: This has been the model for Disneys fairy tale castle. Lunch (on your own) in Neuschwanstein.

Morning walking tour of old town Munich (1 hour) with a local guide who will take you to the Marienplatz to see the Glockenspiel (carillon); to the Viktualienmarkt famers market and to the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), followed by a driving tour touching some of the most important attractions of Munich, including the Residence, the Pinakothek museums, Nymphenburg palace, the German Museum of Science, Olympic stadium and many more. Depart the Munich Airport for Chicago via United Airlines (Boeing 737-300) flight #953. Lunch is served on this flight, along with coffee, tea, water, juices and soft drinks. Additional food items can be purchased by debit or credit card. The flight is 10 hours and 10 minutes. Group arrives at Chicago OHare International Airport (Terminal 5). Everyone must gather their luggage and clear customs. The luggage will be processed for the Denver flight at the customs area. Travelers will then transfer by train to Terminal 2. The group departs Chicago for Denver via United Airlines (Boeing 737-800) flight #1177. Food items can be purchased by debit or credit card. The flight is 2 hours and 33 minutes.
