The 100th Day of School

On Thursday Orange Pod celebrated the 100th day of school. We did different rotations in each classroom. Some of the activities included building structures from 100 marshmallows & 100 toothpicks, finding ten more or 10 less on a 100 chart, writing 100 words (10 each of sight words, proper nouns, adjectives, verbs, contractions, possessives, plurals, synonyms, compound words, and antonyms), making a Fruit Loop necklace with 100 Fruit Loops in a pattern, reading books about the 100th day and completing a word search, and counting how many times they could do certain things in 100 seconds (clapping hands, writing name, etc.). I also surprised each of them with an aged photo of themselves and asked them to respond to the writing prompt, When I am 100 years old. It was a fantastic day with tons of learning and loads of fun!
