Bobsled Relay

This is a team event. Divide yourselves into two teams. You will race on rolling chairs from the book shelf to Mrs. Lows desk and back. Before you can get off your chair to switch bobsledders, you must correctly answer a question. Write your answer on the small white board provided for your team.

Speed Skating
Place your feet on the paper plates and get ready to race. One person will read a question from the paper behind this one. Answering the questions correctly is part of the race! Before you move, you must answer the question correctly. Anyone who does not answer the question correctly will get a false start and be disqualified. Remember to be quiet and not disturb other classes!

Scrabble
Start with the word Olympics on the board. Place all of the tiles face up. Make words that play off of the word Olympics or words that have been added to the board. The person to make the words with the highest total point score wins. (Letter value is listed on each letter)

Skeet Shooting
You must work in pairs for this activity. Divide into pairs. If there are an odd number of people, make one group of 3. Each person should take a quiz from the pile. The number of questions you get right is the number of shots you get. There is an answer sheet behind this paper. Once everyone has taken and corrected the quiz, total up the number of shots each person gets. Each person should take ONE rubber band from the box. (There should be the same number of rubber bands at the end of class as at the beginning. Partner A will toss paper plates into the air and Partner B will try to hit them with his rubber band. (Switch off when Partner A is done.) The number of hits you get is your total score. If you hit someone with a rubber band, even accidentally, you are automatically disqualified.
