Payment Methods

Charges
i) Charges and fees, as may be applicable from time to time, are payable by card members for specific service provided by Indian Overseas Bank to the card member or for the defaults committed by the card members with reference to his/her card accounts. ii) Indian Overseas Bank retains the right to alter any charges or fee from time to time as it may deem appropriate, with due intimation to the card holders.

Service Tax
A tax of 12.24% (Incl.12% service tax & 2% education cess thereon) is applicable of fees, interest & other service charges. Please note that spend on the card does not attract the service tax.

Card Usage Overseas


Please ensure you comply with all RBI regulations pertaining to overseas usage. All foreign currency charges will be converted into Indian rupees on the date we processed the charge. NonUS dollar charges will be converted through US dollars, by converting the charge amount into US dollars and then by converting that US dollar amount into Indian rupees. US dollar charges have been converted directly into Indian rupees.

Reporting a lost / stolen card immediately


If your card is lost/stolen within India, Please notify to your nearest branch of Indian Overseas Bank or Credit card Division, C.O. immediately. If your card is lost while traveling overseas, please notify either to Bank or the VISA help line.

Lost card liability


The card member will be liable for the charges incurred on the card until the bank card service center in India or the VISA global emergency help lines are intimated of the loss. The card members declares that if a card is reported lost, stolen or damaged and is subsequently found, the card member, shall be solely responsible for invalidating the card by destroying the same under intimation to the bank.

Statement Issuance
Statements will be issued in every 30 days for accounts with a balance of more than Rs.100 or when a new transaction reflects in the account.

Termination
The account holder may at any time terminate the card account by informing the Banks card service centers or the bank, either telephonically or in writing. Such notice will take effect once the card has been destroyed by the card member under intimation to the Banks card service center or the Bank.

Charges may very as per the prevailing promotional offers. These would be directly charged to the card members account and would appear in the monthly statements. For any information on other cards please email to Indian Overseas Bank or Call customer service help lines.

Information Sharing
As per the Rules & regulations of the card holder agreement Indian Overseas Bank is authorized to share all the information about card members account / deposits with its group companies or vendors whether based in India or offshore. The bank is also authorized to disclose to Credit Information Bureau (India) Ltd (CIBIL) or any other agency authorized by RBI, information about card members, the credit facilities availed / to be availed the obligations assumed / to be assumed by card holder in relation thereto, and default, if any, committed by card holder in discharge of such obligations. Further, the bank is authorized, without reference to the card member to comply with any request and demand for any information from any authority under law.
