INTRODUCTION The face of commerce has changed in the current era. While earlier business was limited to actual interaction between the two concerned parties, now-a-days it can be conducted online without the actual parties meeting each other. This kind of commercial activity, conducted online on World Wide Web is termed as E-commerce. E- Commerce has been able to find a foot for itself in the online world and is expanding its roots. With the advent of cloud computing, a new stereotype in T ,E-commerce has gained a new dimension. C o!" comp!t#$% is the use of computing resources !hardware and software" which are available in a remote location and accessible over a network !typically the nternet". The basic idea of Cloud Computing is, the programs and data which users re#uire, need not to be installed or kept on their own computers, they can be executed in the large-scale group of servers in the nternet $%&-%'(.The term cloud is derived from the cloud-shaped symbol used to represent abstractly the complex infrastructure it contains in system diagrams. Cloud computing entrusts remote services with a user)s data, software and computation. $*( +usiness organi,ations these days are showing an inclination towards Cloud Computing as it promises saving in time and money. t also ensures security, a vital ingredient of a commercial transaction by providing a safer way to store the information. -rgani,ations look towards cloud for absorbing the dynamically changing re#uirements of T resources by the commercial websites .This study aims at assessing the impact of cloud computing in the E-commerce sector. t is directed towards identifying the features of cloud which can be helpful !or detrimental" in online business transactions. dentification of such features can lead us to propose new solutions to improve the existing scenario SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY The study of employing cloud computing in ecommerce is promising as they have a deep impact on each other. Cloud computing saves organi,ations the cost of T infrastructure while e-commerce allows merchants to do business without renting or buying an entity shop. The Cloud application services allow the customer to directly run the application on his5her own system without installing it. Thus the customer need not maintain the software. 2) Platform as a Service (PaaS) Cloud platform services or 4aa3 deliver a computing platform. The Consumers purchase the access to the platform thus eliminating the need of having the complete platform. 3) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)Cloud infrastructure services 7 delivers computer infrastructure, which includes operating systems, storage, applications and network connectivity but do not control the cloud infrastructure themselves ;< Network as a service (NaaS) 8ere the user can access the network5transport connectivity services and5or inter-cloud network connectivity services. Thus the resource allocation is optimi,ed as the network and computing resources are considered as a unified whole.

9elivery of cloud services is through the server layer which consists of computer hardware and5or computer software products specifically designed . This layer includes multi-core processors, cloudspecific operating systems and combined offerings. These service or cloud computing is general is accessed using networked client devices which include desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. 2 cloud client consists of computer hardware and5or computer software that relies on cloud computing for application delivery.

2 public cloud service delivery model provides application and storage available to general public over internet. These services are either free or are available on pay per usage basis. 1or smaller organi,ations with limited budget, this is a good option but it comes with the issue of security.

B. Private Clouds
8ere the infrastructure is completely maintained by one single organi,ation. The services are offered within the network for which it is designed, hence it provides a good level of control and security. 8owever, to some extent it belies the logic of cloud computing as the concerned organi,ation has to take up the sole responsibility of purchasing and maintaining the software and infrastructure thus affecting the budget of the company.

With the benefits outweighing the disadvantages, it is increasingly felt that in the next few years most of online transactions would take place in the cloud. Companies are trying to woo the customers online by addressing the customer concerns of online trading and e-commerce in cloud would be the in-thing. Cloud is basically divided into A phases. %.
