Summary

A.

What leadership experiences were especially successful for the student this semester?

Leicha has continued to serve in leadership roles in relation to Social, Emotional, and Behavioral efforts in our school. In her role as administrative representative on our Grant Wood AEA led SEBT (challenging behavior team that supports systemic changes and improvements in high needs schools), Leicha has been instrumental in cc.developing an initial draft of a RTI pyramld for school-wide SEB instruction and interventions. She has been a liaison for improving communication systems between teaching and para-professional staff. She also contributed to development ofprofessional learning activities for associates (four one-hour sessions). She helped plan and execute our 4(h annual Healthy Families Night. The event featured about two dozen community service groups who set up booths for 250 Taylor parents and students to visit. This helps our families connect with much needed resources to improve their overall quality of life in addition to having their basic needs better met.

B. C.

What leadership experiences failed to meet expectations for the student this semester? (none) What has been the main focus or topic of reflections and conversations with the student this semester?

This semester our conversations have focused on school law and politics, particularly the current legislative session. School-community partnerships was another prime focus this semester. Working in an at risk school like ours, the relationships developed with the greater community are essential to providing additional supports and resources for the families we serve. We cannot do the jobs we do alone!
