To whom would this image appeal? For

(do not be fooled that whoever is

pictured must be the target audience)

What are the main ideas that you can

connect to the other text?

What are the similarities and

differences?

Is there any overlap?










Organisation

How are ideas organized to grab


audience attention?
What is prioritized and why?
How are sections of the text connected?
How are ideas organized to show
development?

Mood
How does the intended audience feel
(atmosphere) when looking at the image? Often this
links to the implied meaning and
context.

Diction
Think about the
creator/artist/publisher of the image.
What is his/her attitude towards the
subject?
How do the images reinforce the written
language?
How do the word choices contribute to
this attitude?
How does this build a sense of tone?
