Wealth management firms are addressing new and demanding priorities. There is an increased focus on top-line growth through improving customer relationships (especially through digital channels) and increasing the sales effectiveness of the banker/advisor. There is also concern about the economic viability of retaining in-house technology and operations that are not only non-differentiated, aging and highly customized, but also subject to costly changes due to increased regulation. Asset managers are facing an extremely challenging market, with some investors veering towards alternative investments and others choosing passive investments. Traditional investment managers need support in developing an appropriate client strategy, in renewing their technology, and in revamping global back-office services. Private bankers face the same challenges, but must also develop next generation private banking solutions to harmonize operating models across countries. They must adopt multi-channel distribution, generate savings and open up to outsourced operating models. The path to consistent, profitable growth is unclear. Wealth and asset firms must re-think their distribution strategies and their approach to developing highly productive sales forces, attracting top producers and acquiring other firms as the industry consolidates. Full service wealth managers are consolidating and face cost pressures on all of their non-differentiated activities. Middle and back-office operations are undifferentiated (and too expensive) but there is a lack of mature outsourcing services. Current off-shoring is relatively immature as well. In addition, many banks lack the scale in their wealth businesses to afford in-house operations. Instead, they are outsourcing this business to correspondent banks, which settle and clear securities on their behalf. In addition, we focus on workforce and talent management to define and develop an effective advisory sales force. We also help firms adapt and modernize advisor desktop tools, develop and train their advisors, and build capabilities for client self-service. Servicing and Solutions We help global clients respond to the regulatory and cost pressures of their technology and operations functions through tailored offerings in data management, servicing platforms, core platform renewal and process re-engineering. We assist in post-merger integration, core systems replacement and renewal, and back-office process re-engineering. Asset Management and Servicing We assist global asset management and servicing clients in responding to their strategic, risk, regulatory, cost, and operating model challenges. Our capabilities in distribution, operations and technology deliver improvements in areas ranging from fund accounting and data management to portfolio management, risk management and finance. We help streamline back-office services, automate processes and upgrade clearing functions. Private Banking We support private banks with targeted capabilities in advice-led distribution and technology implementations, including Temenos, Odyssey and Avaloq. In this complex and changing regulatory environment, we assist with operating model reviews, help outsource asset services and transform IT functions.
