Built and ran a new office for an existing 3 year-old NY/NJ based IT Staffing firm. This entailed Operations, new business development, Sales/Marketing, hands-on recruiting, as well as callcold sales/new business development, meeting and working closely with new and existing clients to develop strong relationships, and managing these relationships to deliver consistently superior service, as well as working closely with employees and Consultants to help ensure their success. Client verticals included, but were not limited to, Financial, Healthcare, Technology, Pharmaceutical and Legal.

Built this start-up IT Staffing firm from the ground up, including Contract and Contract-to-Hire assignments, as well as Full Time placements and the occasional project. Had overall Operational responsibility including P&L, Sales management, Recruitment management, personnel management, contract development and execution, software evaluation and selection, manpower planning, on-boarding, etc. In order to effectively track revenues, developed and maintained a number of administrative reports, tools, and documents. Screened, hired, mentored and managed the day-to-day activities of all Recruiters and Sales People. Continued to do new business development and hands-on recruiting, while addressing and handling client, employee and contractor issues, as they arose. In addition to contractor relations, was heavily involved in client interface and relations, both face-to-face and via phone/email, in order to ascertain and address clients technical needs, learn about their environment, build relationships and satisfy their requirements. Built the total Recruiting staff to 4, plus myself. In addition, managed 2 Sales people, and trained another. Revenue for the division, as of the end of the second calendar year was $3.3MM, and for the third year, approximately $4.5MM, with a run rate of ~$6MM and a gross margin of 32%. Starpoint Solutions, NYC, NY August, 1993 January, 2005 Various roles including Regional Vice President, Operations Manager, Technical Recruiter Was recruited as the first dedicated recruiter in the firms history. The firms overall revenues eventually exceeded $150MM. Received Recruiter of the Year award twice, before being asked to help open the companys second office, in Iselin, NJ. There, managed a team of 5 Recruiters and had dotted line responsibility for 4 Salespeople. Opened and managed the companys Philadelphia and Washington, DC area offices, as well. Had full responsibility for Operations, and recruiting, screening, interviewing and hiring both Sales and Recruiting teams, from scratch. Managed the day-to-day activities of all Salespeople and Recruiters, and the office, as a whole, and met with existing and prospective clients, in order to introduce them to the firm and to myself. Ultimately, was responsible for the resolution of all employee, client and contractor issues.
