Marine Officer Description


Officers typically do the following: Lead troops in ground combat operations Serve as supervisors and managers of enlisted personnel Operate and control aircraft, ships, or armored vehicles Serve as professionals for the military in medical, legal, engineering, and other fields

MOS 0277 -- Weapons and Tactics Instructor/Intelligence Officer


This is my Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), which my specific job in the United States

Marine Corp. (USMC).


Job Description: Weapons and tactics and instructor-intelligence officers train personnel in the tactica: employment of threat weapon systems in support of MAGTF operations. This MOS will be assigned only to qualified intelligence personnel.

High School Requirements


You must possess a high school diploma. You must score a 32 minimum on the ASVAB You must score a 22 minimum on the ACT You must score a 1000 minimum on the SAT

3500 to 4000 young men & women get Trained a year. Out of that 20% are female. Current total 190,000. Within the next 10 years, there will be 175,000 to 182,000. Were downsizing. Out of New Orleans, LA only 52 are allowed to join in the year 2014. Less than 1% of Americans have claimed the title marines. Warren Easton produces the most marines from LA and MS.
