2 Instrument
Hey friends, meet again with me, Fatikhul Hasan. Today I will be presenting about two Instrument. This is a Multimeter and Global Positioning System (GPS). First I will explain the first Instrumen that is the Multimeter, Multimeter is a measuring instrument used to measure voltage, electric current, and resistance (resistance). It is a general notion multimeter, while the development multimeter can still be used for some functions such as measuring temperature, inductance, frequency, and so on. In addition to measuring the amount of electricity, the tool also works for the search and find a disorder that occurs in all types of aircraft or electronic instruments.

The Multimeter has 2 types, they are Analog Multimeter and Digital Multimeter. 1. Analog Multimeter Analog Multimeter or commonly called multimeters gauge needle is the amount of electricity using the display with a needle that moves into the range that we measure the probe. Multimeter is available with the ability to measure the resistance ohm, the voltage (volts) and current (mA). Analog is not used to measure in detail the amount of the value of the component, but mostly just used for good or bad or component at the time of measurement is also used to check whether a circuit has been plugged in accordance with the existing circuit blocks. The part of Analog Multimeter, they are board scale, zero adjust screw, zero ohm adjust knob, range selector switch, Ohm, Volt AC, Volt DC, DCmA, Common Terminal, V.A Terminal, Output Terminal, Knife-edge Pointer. Board Scale is used to read the measurement result Zero Adjust Screw, serves to set the needle position indicator twisted to the right or to the left by using a small flat screwdriver.

Zero Ohm Adjust Knob, works to regulate the position of the indicator needle to zero. Range Selector Switch, used to select the measurement position and size limits. Multimeter usually consists of four measurement positions, they are : Ohm, Volt AC and DC, and Milimeter Ampere DC.

Common Terminal as the inclusion of test leads plus red pole. Knife-edge pointer, which serves as a pointer magnitude measured.

2. Digital Multimeter. Digital Multimeter is almost the same function as multimeter analog but digital multimeter using digital number display. Digital multimeter readout measurement of electrical quantities more precise when compared with analog multimeters, digital multimeters so devoted to measuring the value of a quantity of a particular component in detail in accordance with the desired scale. A multimeter can be a hand-held device useful for basic fault finding and field service work, or a bench instrument which can measure to a very high degree of accuracy. They can be used to troubleshoot electrical problems in a wide array of industrial and household devices such as electronic equipment, motor controls, domestic appliances, power supplies, and wiring systems. Multimeters are available in a wide range of features and prices. Cheap multimeters can cost less than US$10, while the top of the line multimeters can cost more than US$5,000.

And the second Instrument is GPS, or we know Global Positioning System (GPS) is a system to determine a region of the Earth with the help of coordination (synchronization) satellite signal. This system uses 24 satellites that transmit microwave signals to Earth. This signal is received by a receiver on the surface, and used to determine the location, speed, direction, and time. This system was developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, the full name is NAVSTAR GPS (common mistake is that the NAVSTAR is an acronym, this is wrong, NAVSTAR is the name given by John Walsh, an important decision makers in the GPS program). If I talk about GPS, you will know about GPS Tracker. Yeah, GPS Tracker or often referred to as GPS Tracking is a technology AVL (Automated Vehicle Locater) that allows users to track

the position of the vehicle, or fleet car in the state of Real-Time. GPS Tracking technology utilizes a combination of GSM and GPS to determine the coordinates of an object, and then translate it in the form of digital maps. And, How the GPS system works? The current GPS consists of three major segments. These are the space segment (SS), a control segment (CS), and a user segment (US). And please your attention, I will tell you about the structure of GPS system : The space segment (SS) is composed of the orbiting GPS satellites, or Space Vehicles (SV) in GPS parlance. The control segment is composed of: a master control station (MCS), an alternate master control station, four dedicated ground antennas, and six dedicated monitor stations. The user segment is include a display for providing location and speed information to the user.
