CONFERENCE PAPER
Conference paper is a short explanation about the research project that has been done. Interested parties can easily understand your research by reading the content of the conference paper which comes in a standard format as shown in the next page. Besides the conference paper, presentation slides are prepared by the presenters to elaborate on their research project to the public and judges. NOTES : Conference papers must be submitted at least one week before the SFYC event. The conference paper can be in either tamil or english language. Font : Times New Roman Font Size : 12 point Spacing : single spacing. The paper should not exceed three (3) pages maximum.

Abstract
Abstract should be written in one paragraph and should not be more than 80 words. It should consist of major aspects such as the objectives, methods and results, but not in detail. Important results should be emphasized and a conclusion can also be included. Vitamin C is a vital nutrient required by the human body. Vitamin C can be obtained from fruits and vegetables. This research has been carried out in order to determine the amount of vitamin C in different sources of fruits and vegetables. DCPIP and Iodine titration methods have been used to determine the amount of Vitamin C. Our research reveals that guava contains the highest amount of vitamin C among the samples that we have tested.
Introduction
Provide some background studies and detailed information regarding your research. Point out the problems that led you to this research. Describe the importance of your research. Why your research is worth to be carried out? Include detailed objectives of your research. Vitamin C or ascorbic acid is a water soluble vitamin that cannot be made by the body and must be obtained from sources such as fruits and vegetables. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that protects the cell in our body from free radical damage. It is also necessary for the manufacture of collagen. Lack of collagen causes blood leakage into tissues, loose teeth, bleeding gums, red spots on skin, decaying flesh and aching joints. This disease is called scurvy. Due to the importance of Vitamin C, we tried to identify which fruit has the most amount of Vitamin C by using the DCPIP and Iodine titration methods.

Eight drops of iodine were added and stirred. The mixture will turn dark blue. Fruit juice is taken into a syringe and added into the blue mixture one ml by one ml. The mixture is stirred after every addition of juice. Stop adding juice after the blue colour disappears. The total amounts (ml) of juice needed to get rid of the blue colour is recorded and the experiments repeated for every juice. The same experiment procedure applies to determine Vitamin C in fresh orange juice and commercially available orange juices. Repeat the experiment to determine Vitamin C content at different storage periods. Extracted orange juice stored in the refrigerator for 5 days and the amount (ml) of juice needed to make the blue colour disappear are measured and recorded every day.

Conclusion
Should not be more than 3 sentences, preferably one sentence. Should summarise the overall findings obtained from the research. The conclusion should be a short answer to your problem statement. Less amount (ml) of juice shows that the juice contains higher Vitamin C level. So, Orange juice has the highest Vitamin C among the eight fruits tested. Fresh fruit juices contain more Vitamin C than commercially available orange juices. The amount of Vitamin C decreases when, the storage period is prolonged.
