ANNEXURE-X DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING OMR APPLICATION FORM

Candidates should take note of the following instructions while filling and submitting the OMR Application Form to the ICAR. Please note that any mistake committed in filling the OMR Application form can not be corrected later on and ICAR will have no responsibility of any kind for such incorrectly filled forms. You are advised to keep a photocopy of the filled-in Application Form and the Post Office registry/ speed post receipt for dispatch for future correspondence, if any. (i) Please ensure that you satisfy the eligibility requirements in toto as contained at item 3.0 in the Information Bulletin for appearing in the examination/ admission. In the event of rejection of the application, the application fee paid shall not be refunded. It should be carefully noted by the candidate that if he/ she has been punished at any time in his/her earlier academic career for having taken part in the activities of indiscipline or use of unfair means in any of the examination, shall not be eligible for admission. In case, he/she secures admission by concealing any of the facts on these points or through oversight by the Counseling Committee, the admission is liable to be cancelled as and when it is detected. Fill-in the Application Form, all in plain capital letters (do not use cursive writing) using black/ blue ball-point pen in good handwriting. Circles/boxes to be appropriately filled. In case there is any mistake noticed while filling the form, you may apply white correcting fluid on the mistake, let it dry, and then make the correction by black/ blue ballpoint pen. Do not wrinkle/ fold/ tear/ staple the OMR application. Overwriting, cutting, damaging the form etc. may lead to rejection of the application and the candidate him/herself will be responsible for such rejection. Instructions to fill-up Application Form Sr. No. 1: Date of Birth: First, write the date, month, and year of your birth in rectangular boxes in numbers as given in Class X marks sheet. For example, if the date of birth is 09 August, 1985, it has to be written as 0 9 0 8 8 5 one number/ digit in one box. Then, darken the appropriate circles accordingly by black/ blue ball point pen. Sr. No. 2: Choice of Examination City Centre-Refer Annexure-VI Write in figures the Code Number of the Examination City Centre as per your choice. For example for Raipur write 3 6 in the rectangular boxes. Then darken the circle in first column and in 2nd column, use black/ blue ball point pen. Other circles should be left blank.

Sr. No. 3: Code no. of Domicile State: Refer Annexure-VII Write the State Code in figures (numbers). For example, for Bihar it is 05. Hence, candidates from Bihar state should write the number 0 5 in the boxes by black/ blue bold ball pen. Then fill the circles 0 in 1st column and 5 in second column. Similarly, other candidates may fill the information accordingly as applicable to them. Sr. No. 4: University from where graduated: Refer Annexure-VIII Write the code number shown for the University. For example, for MPUA&T Udaipur, the code number is 25. Hence, write 2 5 in the boxes. Then fill the circles in 1st column and in second column. Sr. No. 5: Subject Stream at Graduation level: Refer Annexure-VIII Write the code in the rectangular boxes and darken the appropriate circles in front of the stream mentioned. Sr. No. 6: Major Subject Code number: Refer Table 2.1 and Annexure - I Write the code number of the Major Subject Group in which you want to appear for this examination. For Plant Sciences, it is 02. For Animal Biotechnology it is 13. Now darken the appropriate circles. Sr. No. 7: Category: If you belong to scheduled caste (SC) category, darken the circle in front of SC and also write SC in rectangular box. Similarly, the information is to be given by the candidates from other categories. In case, you do not specify any category, the application form is likely to be rejected. The category on Application Form and OMR Answer sheet should not vary. In case of any such variation, the OMR Answer Sheet shall be treated as final and no change will be possible. Sr. No. 8: Nationality: For showing Indian nationality, darken the circle in front of Indian. Sr. No. 9: Sex: For male, darken the circle in front of male, and for female darken the circle in front of female. Also write on rectangular box Male or Female. Sr. No. 10: Place of Residence: If a candidate has been basically residing in village, he/ she should darken the circle in front of village. Similarly, others may darken the appropriate circle and also write on rectangular box provided. Items at Sr. No. 11, 12 and 13: Candidate should write in plain capital letters (with black/ blue ball pen) his/ her name, Mothers name and Fathers name. Write one letter only in one box. Leave one space (box) between first name, middle name and surname. Also darken the appropriate given circle. Incorrect names may invite rejection of candidature at any stage. Sr. No. 14: Year of passing/ appearing in the final year/ semester of degree programme. Write in the boxes, the year as per English Calendar. For example 2 0 10 or 2 011 etc. as applicable and darken the appropriate given circles. Sr. No. 15: Code number of college/faculty from where graduated: Refer Annexure-VIII Darken the appropriate circle. For example in case you have graduated from the College of Agriculture of the University, then darken the circle (1) and so on. Sr. No. 16: Duration (years) of Degree programme: If your graduation degree scheduled time of completion was three years, then write 3 in the box and darken the circle 3. If it was 4 years, then write 4 in the box and darken the circle 4. Similarly fill the information if the degree was of 5 or 6 years. Refer Part D of Annexure-VIII. Sr. No. 17: Write % Marks or OGPA/CGPA obtained at graduation level: If only marks are awarded for obtaining the degree, write (in number) up-to two decimal places, the percentage of marks (cumulative) scored during the entire degree programme. If it is OGPA/ CGPA System, then write the OGPA/ CGPA out of 10.00/ 5.00/ 4.00 scale in two decimal places as applicable and also darken the corresponding circles. In case degree is not complete, then write the percent marks or OGPA/ CGPA obtained till the previous semester/ year for which the result has been declared and also darken the appropriate circle provided.

Sr. No. 18: Percentage of total aggregate marks obtained in Class X, Class XII (in two decimal places): Here, write the percentage marks scored in all subjects together in Class X, and then in Class XII. Fill one digit in one box and darken the relevant circles. Thumb Impression: Clear left hand thumb impression (LTI) for male and right hand thumb impression (RTI) for female candidate in the given space is required to be put up. Recent passport size photograph: In this space, paste (with gum) a recent, clear colour passport size photograph (3.5 4.5 cm) showing front view of the face clearly without cap and dark spectacles. Do not staple or pin up the photograph. It should NOT be attested or signed by anybody. The photograph will be scanned and used for Attendance sheet. Also, it will be sent to the University where you might get admitted for verification and future records. Unclear photograph will invite rejection of the Application. Write name and complete mailing address: This block will be scanned and used for future correspondence with the candidate. Use black/ blue ball-point pen and write in neat handwriting. Write your name and complete postal address clearly in large capital letters including Street, Lane No., village, P.O. etc. Also, write the state name and PIN code. In case of incomplete or wrong address, our letters/ messages may not reach you. ICAR will not be responsible for delay or non-receipt of information to the candidates on this account. Signature of the candidate in running hand: The candidate must put his/ her natural signature in running hand by black/ blue ball-point pen. These will be scanned and used for identity verification and admission purposes. DO NOT SIGN IN CAPITAL LETTERS. Sr. No. 19-22: Address: Write your mailing address. Write one letter in one box in plain capital letters (not cursive) and darken the appropriate circles. Sr. No. 23-25: Write the amount paid for the purchase of application form. In case it is through Demand Draft (DD), the DD No. and its date should be filled. Sr. No. 26: Write PIN CODE in Rectangular boxes, one digit in one box and then darken the circles. Sr. No. 27: Mobile No. and STD Code with Telephone No.: Contact telephone number of the candidate should be written. Write one digit only in one box. Check the number for correctness. If you have a mobile phone, its No. can be given and then darken the appropriate circles. Sr. No. 28: Candidate should write in running handwriting the underlined part of declaration I agree to abide by the rules and regulation governing the examination as contained in the Information Bulletin which I have duly studied and understood thoroughly. Without hand written declaration, the application will be summarily rejected. Sr. No. 29: The Declaration should be signed by the candidate and the parent/guardian. Put date and place name also at specified points. Forged signatures will disqualify the candidature of the candidate. How to fill up the Admit Card Both copies (Office and Candidate) of Admit Card should be filled by the candidate and the attested photographs be pasted (with gum) in the space provided. Except for the Roll number and the Examination venue in the examination city center, all the entries are to be filled up by the candidate him/herself. The particulars supplied by the candidate in Admit Card should be got attested by the Dean/ Principal of the College last attended or any Gazetted officer who should also sign at the specified place with Official Stamp. Acknowledgement Card Candidate should write his/her postal address and Numeric Code Name of City of Exam Centre. Postage stamp of ` 6/- should be pasted on the acknowledgement card. These should be detached from Information Bulletin and sent along with the Application to the ICAR. In case the acknowledgement card is not received or no information of Roll No. is available on ICAR website www.icar.org.in, candidate may contact the Controller of Examinations (COE) through Telephone only after last week of March, 2014. The details of Examination Centre in a particular city may be seen against the application Sl. No. or date of birth on ICAR website or contact the Nodal Officer of city centre two days before the date of examination. Candidate may also contact COE on any working day between 10:00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on telephone in this regard. The filled OMR Application Form should be thoroughly re-checked for all the entries and their correctness. Keep a photocopy of the filled Application and Bank Draft with you. Without folding, put the Application, Admit Card (only office copy) and Acknowledgement Card in the prescribed envelope. Post these by Registered/ Speed Post. Keep the receipt of the Post Office with you for future records.

1. Counselling will be offline (personal appearence) for which candidates are advised to remain in touch with the ICAR website. No separate intimation will be sent in this regard. The above Counseling schedule is tentative and is subject to change. Any change in the venue/schedule of counseling will be placed on ICAR website. 2. The SC/ ST candidates who do not wish to take admission in their respective reserved category may opt for counseling with General + OBC category. 3. *Such candidates, if any will be allotted the seat and university in case any seat remains unfilled. Their counseling will be undertaken only after the counseling is over for all the candidates who have reported on scheduled date and time. Mere reporting for the counseling on this date does not necessarily guarantee the admission. 4. Candidates are advised to book their journey tickets to New Delhi for counseling accordingly as soon as the result is declared, and if they are declared qualified to be called for counseling. 5. In case the seats are exhausted before all the candidates called for personal appearance are covered, the allotment will be stopped and the Council will not be responsible for the non-availability of seats and non-allotment to the rest of the candidates on this account. 6. Candidate will have to deposit part admission fee of ` 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) in Cash and also the original certificates to the Registrar of the University as soon as the seat is allotted on the day of Counseling. Candidate is advised to take the receipt of the deposits as well as enquire about the date of reporting for registration at the allotted Agricultural University from the Registrar. The balance amount of fee would have to be deposited by the candidate to the University on the date of registration as prescribed by the University for the purpose. Failure to deposit part admission fee and certificates to the allocated University will forfeit his/her claim for admission. Reserved category candidates must produce the required certificates in original and in the prescribed format. Any temporary or permanent withdrawal of original certificates will be governed as per the concerned University rules. ICAR has no objection if certificates are returned to the candidate after verification. In case of OBC candidates availing the benefits of reservation in Central Educational Institutions/Universities/ICAR DUs, the candidate will be required to produce a Central OBC certificate (Annexure-V) issued by the competent authority and satisfy following criteria: Sub-caste must tally with the Central list of OBC. Candidate should not belong to creamy layer.

The proof of non-creamy layer and three years income tax returns of their parents shall be verified by the University authority before their admission (Original certificates have to be produced). Therefore, candidates while coming for counseling need to bring with them all the above required documents in original as well as photocopies thereof along with part fee in cash and counseling intimation issued by the ICAR. The counseling of OBC candidates will be done along with the candidates of general category at their overall merit rank for reserved seats as applicable at the time of counseling in the Central Educational Institutions/Universities. 7. Candidate should note that after allotment of the seat, no refund of part fee will be made in case he/she withdraws admission for any reason. 8. For candidates having B.Sc. three-year degree programme, there are only few seats available. In case these get filled at higher ranks. ICAR will not be able to recommend admission to remaining candidates even if called for counseling to the refusing Universities in view of 4 years UG degree being an essential requirement in most programmes. The reporting time for the candidates will be 30 minutes before (8.30 A.M.) the specified time of counseling. In case of late reporting by the candidates for counseling due to any reasons, he/ she will lose claim of admission due at his/ her rank. However, such candidate may be considered for admission against left out seats at the time of reporting. No claim or compensation for problems (if any) encountered or cost incurred in attending the counseling will be entertained by the ICAR/ Universities. While reporting for the counseling, candidate must ensure that all the eligibility conditions for the admission laid down in the Information Bulletin are fulfilled including the age limit, final result in hand, percentage of marks, OGPA, degree completion etc. ICAR/ University will not be responsible for denial of admission to non-eligible candidates. 9. In case the letters are issued and not received by the candidates due to postal delay or any other reasons in time, ICAR shall not be responsible for it. For counseling, qualified candidate can download the counseling letter from ICAR website.
