To The Reader Military aircraft revolutionized from the edge of time, not really. The first military aircraft was made in 1909 and it was called the Write flyer Model A. That means that military aircraft have been around for about 105 years, which is a long time though being able to fly has been around for even longer! Though this book is about Military Aircraft so continue reading and learn more about them!

Wings There are three different wings in the world they are called the Straight wing, swep wing and delta wing. Subheading: Straight wing The straight is straight and it creates alot of drag which slows the aircraft down. Drag also makes the aircraft unstable and is usally the problem with the aircraft when its made! Straight wings also create less lift for the aircraft. Subheading:Swep Wing The swep wing is a type of wing that creates more lift than the Straight wing because the wing is swep and this makes the plane more aero dinamic. (A plane being aero dinamic means that the plane is able to fly in the air)The swep wing makes the plane fly faster then the straight wing. Subheading:Delta Wing The delta wing is connected unlike the swep wing and straight wing and is usally used for military aricraft like the EuroFighter! The

delta wing was made for speed! It also makes the plane much more manuverabill than the straight wing!

Fusalage The fusalage of a plane is what holds the aircraft together! The fusalage of a plane is also called the frame, and is the biggest part of the plane! It holds the engine are still different parts of a plane!

Type of Tail Tails are very inportant in aircraft without it will be almost inposible to turn and to climb. There are four inportant parts of a tail ,they are called the Rudder(changing yaw is the motion of turning the Aircraft from left to right), Veritical stabilizer (controll yaw),Elevator (changing pitch is the motion of moving the plane up and down). All of these parts of the tail are very inportant with out them the plane will not fly!

Types of Engines Engines are very, very inportant in fighter aircraft with out them the aircraft will be vulnerable in a fight and cant climb because there to heavy. There are two types of engines they are called the Piston engine and the jet engine! Subheading:Piston Engine The piston engine spins a propeller to create a forward motion! The piston engine is mostly used for old planes like world war I and II. Though planes are still made with piston engines. Subheading:Jet engine

The first jet engine plane was made by german in 1943. The jet engine propels the plane with this engine forward by sucking in air from the front and then propels it out the back!

The cockpit The cockpit of a plane is in the center of the fuselage and this is were the pilot sits and controls the aircraft. There are many different cockpits but there are three main ones I want to talk about they dont have names but they are from different time periods, ones from World War II and a modern day one. First in World War II they made fighter planes

cockpits with the control stick (The control stick is for changing roll of the plane) in the middle between the pilots legs. Second is they started to make military aircraft with the two control sticks both on each side of the pilot. Projectile weapons There are two main projectile weapons. They are called bullets and rockets; rockets are the basis of missiles. Bullets need a gun to propel them forward at its target. Guns have a combustion chamber. (A combustion chamber is the area of which a bullet is in before it is propelled forward). A rocket needs nothing but its own engine to propel it. Like most engines, rockets burn fuel. Most rocket engines turn the fuel into hot gas. The engine pushes the gas out its back. The gas makes the rocket move forward.

How Military Aircraft Modernized Aircraft were recognized as having military applications early on. A Wright model A was purchased in 1909 by the U.S army signal corps, and in 1911 the Italians used a variety

of aircraft types in reconnaissance, photoreconnaissance, and bombing roles as part of the Italic-Turkish war. The earliest military role filled by aircraft was reconnaissance, however, World War I saw military aviation rapidly embrace many specialized types, such as scouts, artillery observers, fighters, bombers, etc. World War II saw even more rapid advancement in aircraft technology, with large performance increases and the introduction of aircraft into an increasing number of roles. Aircraft also played a much larger role, with many notable engagements being decided through the use of military aviation, such as the Battle of Britain or the attack on Pearl Harbor. Carrier aviation came to play a major role during World War II, with most major Fleets realizing that the aircraft carrier was a much more potent weapon Than the battleship, and devoting massive resources to the creation of new carriers and the destruction of enemy carriers. The introduction of the jet engine, radar and early missiles and computers are World War II advancements, which are felt to the present day!
