Asia Oil and gas, power and process engineering Our Nabarro Singapore team helps clients involved in international projects in connection with both contentious and non-contentious issues.
OUR SKILLS AND EXPERTISE We offer an integrated service from the inception of a project and continuing throughout the live period. We work with clients to supply the skills required to support major engineering projects: strategic procurement advice, contract drafting, ongoing project support and risk management, and dispute resolution. Here is a selection of the major oil and gas, power, and process engineering projects in which members of the Nabarro Singapore ofce have been involved: Oil and Gas Asia: advised a Singapore engineering consultancy rm in respect of drafting its standard terms and conditions for FEED and detailed EPC engagement on oil and gas projects in the South East Asian and AsiaPacic region. Australia / Singapore: advising the Asia Pacic unit of a US MNC owning the worlds largest eet of deepwater oil and gas exploration, production, storage and transportation vessels and platforms in respect of its EPC shipbuilding, conversion and associated shipyard projects in the Asia Pacic region. Indonesia: advised an Indonesian investor in a joint operations and equity participation farm in transaction with an Abu Dhabi sovereign fund-owned energy company on exploration and production rights regarding gas supply from an offshore gas block. Thailand: advised a Singaporean engineering consultancy rm with regard to a master services consultancy agreement with Chevron Thailand in respect of the Platong II Gas Field Development Project. Power Philippines: drafted the EPC contract and associated documentation (based on heavily-amended FIDIC terms) to refurbish a hydro-electric plant. India: acted for an Indian company on its development of a 3000 MW solar power station. Philippines: due diligence in relation to a power generation facility, involving a review of onshore/ offshore construction contracts, co-ordination arrangements and construction issues relating to the off-take agreement. Thailand: acting for PTT Chem in connection with contractual service agreements relating to power plant equipment. Process Engineering China: advised a major UK utility company on a large BOT (BuildOperate-Transfer) water project in China, involving the proposed EPC contract for the process plant and associated pipeline (based upon an amended version of the FIDIC Silver Book) and the consortium/JV agreement with Japanese project sponsors. Vietnam: advised a Singaporean listed petrochemical production company in its role as primary investor and operator on a 1300 hectare BOO (Build-Own-Operate) industrial park project, comprising a deep-water port, a naphtha cracker complex, an oil renery and support infrastructure, in Phu Yen province. Singapore: advised the Public Utilities Board in respect of its proposed privatisation by divestment or PPP concession to private interests of the operation, maintenance and technological development of a water treatment, ltration and purication facility and its upstream waste to feed a water reclamation plant.
