Read the text then answer the questions:Pollution is one of the biggest problems in this age. There are many kinds of pollution that make life difficult, unhappy and unhealthy. The first kind is the most dangerous one which is air pollution. It is caused by factories and cars sending out smoke. This kind is commonly found industrial and big cities. In such cities, air is not clean and unhealthy. The other kind is water pollution .Factories pour chemicals into nearest seas and rivers. It is also caused by tankers spilling oil or towns pouring waste. Those poisonous chemicals and waste make water dirty and unhealthy to drink. They also kill fish that people eat. Many countries work hard to stop pollution and they succeeded. Air and water on their cities become much cleaner. They now breathe and drink fresh and healthy air and water.

B-The seen passage: The Taj Mahal is in India. It is one of the most famous buildings in the world. It was built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beautiful wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631AD. He loved his wife very much, but she died when she was giving birth to her first child. Her husband was heart broken and decided to build a tomb for her, so that people would always remember her name. The building work began in 1631 and was finished 20 years later. More than 20000 workers and craftsmen helped to build the Taj Mahal which is made of white marble. Read the following passage, then answer the questions below: Alberto Santos Dumont

He was born on July 20th 1873, in Brazil in South America. Albertos father owned a large farm and moved the family to France. In Paris 1897, Alberto took flights in hot air balloons. Then, in 1898, he designed and built his own balloon, The Brazilian. Alberto designed a number of airships. Airships are balloons with engines and controls to change direction. In 1901, he won a prize of 100,000 francs for flying around the Eiffel tower. He gave away the money to poor people of Paris and the builders of the airships. He became the most famous person in the world. In 1903, Alberto started designing planes. On October 23rd 1906, he flew 60 metres at a height of 3 metres. Many people saw the flight and, from that moment, the newspapers started to call Santos-Dumont the father of flying. However, nearly 3 years before, two Americans, Wilbur and Orville Wright made a flight of 12 seconds over a distance of 36 metres. Nobody saw the flight, but after some time, people accepted that the Wright brothers, not Santos-Dumont, made the first powered flight. Nowadays, most people know about the Wrights but very few people know about Alberto. The Brazilians do remember him. The airport at Rio de Janeiro is named after him. Santos-Dumont stopped flying in 1910 after an accident. He died on July 23rd 1932.

-Read the following passage, and then answer the following questions:
Nick was bored with life. Every day was exactly the same. What I need is a little adventure! Nick thought as he waited at the bus stop one morning. Nicks little adventure happened sooner than he expected! While he was on the bus reading his newspaper, the man sitting next to him suddenly pushed a large brown envelope into his hands. Here, take this! he muttered. Then he stood up and got off the bus before Nick could say a word. Nick sat there, holding the envelope. It felt heavy. There were papers inside or money perhaps. Id better hand it over to the police, he thought. There was a police station close to his office. But, as he got off the bus, a man approached him. He was obviously waiting for something. He wants the envelope, Nick thought. Nick started to run and the man began to run after him. But the man disappeared in the crowd. Inside the police station, Nick handed over the envelope to the inspector in charge. The inspector opened it. The envelope was full of money false money. Obviously the man made a mistake. the inspector said. He thought you were one of the gang! Well, congratulation!

She was taught at home by a maid. As a child, Agatha Christie never attended a school. She was a very shy child. She was unable to express her feelings so she turned to music as a means of expression and, later in life, to writing. In 1914, at the age of 24, she married Archie Christie, a World War I fighter pilot. While he was off at war, she worked as a nurse. It was while working in a hospital during the war that Christie first came up with the idea of writing a detective novel. Although it was completed in a year, it wasn't published until 1920. Among the most popular works by Agatha Christie were "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd in1926, Murder on the Orient Express in 1934 and Death on the Nile in1937. Christie's most well-known novel was "Murder at the Vicarage" in 1930 In 1926, Archie asked for a divorce, having fallen in love with another woman. Agatha, was already upset by the recent death of her mother. She disappeared then for about three weeks. All of England searched for the now famous missing writer. She was found later in a small hotel. She explained to police that she had lost her memory. 50

She later found happiness with her marriage in 1930 to Max Mallowan, a young archaeologist.
