Instead, from my admittedly not-fully-informed perspective, I believe he is paralyzed in his ability to make decisions, a trait which itself is an unfortunate demonstration of a weakness in his leadership ability. The end result is actions that can be criticized as weak or delayed. He emerges from faux-paresis when its politically opportune, as has been amply demonstrated; after he votes present, he attends a $-raiser and/or plays golf; unless the truthiness [quoting Colbert] of my hyperlinks is to be challenged as somehow selective, they must provide sufficient information to permit a cogent decision to be made. One cannot hide behind ignorance, for [paraphrasing a euphemism]: Ignorance of the news is no excuse! He is not approving the Keystone-XL or releasing Pollard because he wants to barter; thus, his delayed actions reveal imperialism [not purported weakness]. He also has been unable to broker trust which has led to a complete disconnect with Congress and, I believe, to the flurry of executive orders. I am not informed enough to say whether he has overreached in these orders, per se. On the one hand, I can appreciate those who say its been the only way he can get anything done; however, I can also see that his extensive use of this tactic has only served to fuel a more divisive environment. He has destroyed trust throughout the past half-decade, hardly meeting with the GOP [and rarely with Dems who dare to contemplate stepping out-of-line]; he has most-definitely over-reached [such as with the Illegals], for his executive actions [as official Orders and as an Administration] have admittedly been characterized as discretionary. He enforces selectively, evincing favoritism, eschewing the rule-of-law, lifting the blindfold over administration of justice. How else would you expect the majority of Americans to react to his edicts? Unlike you, my political thinking is not linear; it lacks your consistency. Rather, it relies heavily on the view that the process only works in DC when the rancor is less intense.

Two student leaders of J Street at Brandeis University who recently came under fire for heckling an Israeli soldier have been selected to help repair the schools relationship with the Palestinian Al Quds University, which has hosted several anti-Israel terror rallies on its campus. Brandeis was forced to sever its long-term partnership with Al Quds after it hosted a military rally last year that featured masked men performing the traditional Nazi salute. A second Hamas rally was held in late March. Two leaders of J Streets campus group, J Street U, were recently given an independent grant to travel to Al Quds and spearhead a student dialogue initiative aimed at repairing relations between the two universities. The Al Quds dialogue initiative comes at a critical time for Brandeis, which is facing a fierce backlash for rescinding an honorary degree from the Islamic human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali. The J Street leaders were awarded the $10,000 as part of the Davis Projects for Peace program, which encourages students to design grassroots projects for peace. Philip and Stewart wrote in their grant proposal that they are seeking to create a framework for long-term student dialogue between Brandeis University and Al Quds University. The duo hopes to gain insight into their [Al Quds students] daily lives through a structured and intentional five-day trip in Jerusalem and the West Bank and post-trip weekly discussion meetings, according to the proposal. Philip and Stewart wrote in their proposal that the December rally at Al Quds appeared to many at Brandeis to be an anti-Semitic rally. Raz later responded to the incident by stating that Philip walked in [to the event], over an hour late, and aside from the disruptive chatter, missed the points that were made.
