WHY WE ARE DOING THIS EVENT

Market Overview
The total market size of Indian tourism and hospitality sector stood at US$ 117.7 billion and is expected to touch US$ 418.9 billion by 2022. The foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows in hotel and tourism sector during April 2000 to July 2013 stood at US$ 6,754.49 million, as per the data released by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). Indias hotel pipeline is thought to be the second largest in the Asia Pacific region, and the Indian hospitality sector is expected to grow at a rate of 8.8% per annum, making India the second fastest growing tourism market in the world. The hospitality industry in India is going through an interesting phase, with around 6 million foreign tourist arrivals (FTA), India accounted for only about 0.6% of the global tourist arrivals indicating a huge area of untapped opportunities in travel. India presently has an estimated 114,000 hotel rooms spread across various hotel categories. This is around 150,000 rooms short from what is required. Precisely for the same reason, several developers and both domestic and international hotel operators are setting up hotels in India, but at the same time building cost-effective hotel with minimal time and less labor remains the prime challenge for all stakeholders in the industry. Hotel infrastructure and issues related to hotel infrastructure, architecture and design are among the major challenges in the hospitality sector today and across all categories of hotels.
