Subject: Modernization of old MAN engines automation system with obsolete ABB CS31 controller to new fully supported automation system.

Dear Sirs, The production of ABB Procontic CS31-series has been stopped by the product factory. The CS31 series controller and associated modules were widely used in MAN medium speed four stroke diesel engines in propulsion and auxiliary power generation. The CS-31 system has moved to the obsolete phase of its life cycle and is now very difficult to support. This means that should a failure occur, the availability of spare parts and skilled expertise cannot be guaranteed and is offered on a best endeavors basis only. Please see enclosed brief details of our modernization solution which can be implemented as part of good life cycle management to ensure supportability for many years to come. This is offered as a turnkey solution and can be implemented to suit budgets and dockings.
