This proposal provides details on how I will make a manual about microscope. This proposal will include my plans to complete the manual and the topics I am willing to cover.

EXECUTIVE WORK SUMMARY:

Microscope is an optical instrument use for viewing very small objects, such as mineral samples or animal or plant cells, typically magnified several hundred times. Most biological materials are below human visual limits; therefore most of the scientific experiments can only be carried out with the help of a microscope. I am proposing a Manual on how to use a microscope properly without making too many mistakes. Most students look into microscope without knowing the settings, different types and parts of the microscope, and functions. This Manual will list, identify and explain the parts of microscope and show you the functions.

INTRODUCTION/PROBLEM:
When using a microscope properly, most students find it really hard to make proper adjustment in order to get the right view of the slide or organism. Many Students are scared to use the microscope because it is expensive, electrical, or because they have never seen one. A lack of regular and proper maintenance is one of the cause of the most difficult problem of all. This problem is internal contamination of the optics. The manual will describe the proper way to look into the microscope.

PLAN
How to handle:
I will explain how to handle with care and carry with two hands

List Parts:
I will list the part of the microscope and explain the easiest way to memorize the parts

Functions of Parts:
I will define the different parts of the microscope and their functions

Adjustments and magnification:

I will differentiate the different magnifications and measurement included in a microscope.

Insert slide:
I will show how to insert a slide in a microscope and include proper illustration such as pictures.

LIGHT CONTROL, FOCUS, AND HIGH POWER:

I will show light Control, how to make the slide clear, and when to use Focus.

SCHEDULE:
Finishing the manual will approximately take 3 weeks. I will divide the time based on this chart. I will first take pictures, explain what is going on in the pictures and other important stuff about microscope, and then I will revise my manual and print.

ESTIMATE AND EQUIPMENTS:

I will be using a computer to type the manual. The pictures will be taken with my digital camera. I will be using a microscope in my biology lab to explain and take pictures. The manual will be printed for free because I am a current student in TECM 2700.

QUALIFICATIONS:
As a biology major student who is currently enrolled in several biology lab in which several microscope is being use consistently, I am qualified to write the manual for beginner students who are new to using a microscope. Sincerely,
