EVENT SUMMARY:
Radar indicated persistent rainfall spreading northward across the region. Rainfall in the last six hours has averaged around an inch with pockets around two inches. An additional inch of rain every two hours is expected through the morning, which will allow streams to continue to rise out of their banks and cause flooding of low-lying areas. Rain will continue through Thursday afternoon. There is potential of up to four inches of rain total by Thursday afternoon when the systems exits the area. A flood warning is in effect until 2:30 PM Wednesday. A flash flood watch is in effect at 10 pm tonight through Thursday, May 1st at 6 am.
