Voluntary Experience___________________________________________________________ Refugee Camp, Croatia Summer 2012

In the summer of 2012, myself and 8 other friends travelled to a remote town in Croatia to help buy equipment and food supplies for a refugee camp in Croatia. The camp, which was made up of around 50 adults and children was very run down and had no running water or toilets. In addition, the houses were metal shacks with around 6 people living in one, which was adequate for a maximum of three people. By fundraising for over six months, myself and the team managed to raise over 2000 for the camp which bought them at least a month supply of food, along with treats for the children.
