Today, Layfield has a strong manufacturing, fabrication and distribution base in its facilities in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Seattle, and San Diego. Come work for a proven winner with an exciting future. About the Opportunity Layfield has an exciting and rewarding opportunity available for an IT Manager to join our dynamic IT team. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Richmond Head Office. The IT Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the IT department. This includes Layfields IT infrastructure, business systems and budget allocation to align with the companys long term business goals. The IT Manager is responsible for applying all IT resources to execute corporate plans. The key duties of the IT Manager will include (but will not be limited to):

Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems. This includes servers, PCs operating systems, wired and wireless network devices, telephones, software applications, mobile devices, printer/copiers and other peripherals. Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, providing disaster recovery and expert level support when necessary. Apply and direct IT resources to achieve IT performance targets, deliver on Service Level Agreements/Objectives and maintain acceptable levels of enterprise risk. Manage IT staff, including hiring, training, development, evaluation, guidance, discipline and discharge. Communicate regularly on IT issues with executive management and all users of information services and systems. Develop, document and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision. Identify and evaluate opportunities for technology adoption; develop and present business cases for technology opportunities that will further Layfields business objectives. Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a related field with a minimum of 15 years of relevant IT experience combined with 5 years of management experience. The ideal candidate must also possess the following qualifications: Knowledge Experience working with Microsoft technology stack Experience with implementing and/or managing ERP, CRM, and Document Management/Collaboration Platforms Experience leading cross-functional project teams in IT projects Experience with managing Systems/Network administration, Helpdesk/Technical Support as well as Business Analysis Knowledge of WAN, LAN, Wireless, Mobile, Storage, Backup and Server Technologies Skills
