This social studies lesson is designed for 2nd grade students to learn to distinguish between wants and needs. Students E.9.2.1 Give examples of what is given up will also learn to identify that because money is limited, they will have to make choices about their needs and wants. when choices are made The lesson uses inspiration from the Houghton Mifflin E.10.2.1 Discuss the Social Studies textbook Neighborhoods (p. 160-161) and concept that money is limited.
