The Brown Bear is the most famous of tribesmen. He became the hero of many tales and
legends in different Nations. He can often be seen in circus shows. He has a high level of
intelligence and responds well to training. He has a large head, small and round ears, and small
eyes, on his paws has claws. And the color of his fur is brown, hence his name. In spring the bear
becomes a predator, he might kill wild boar, elk, and deer. The bear sleeps all winter hibernating
satisfied in a lair. Despite his clumsy appearance, brown bears can run fast, swims great and
good climbs on trees. The bear is a typical Russian animal and he is associated with the Russian
people, characterizes them as strong, serious, and fair nation.
The bear characterizes Russians people, their life and soul. How tell me Wikipedia on the
Internet It often was and is used by Westerners, to begin with, especially in Britain and later
also in the US, and not always in a flattering context on occasion it was used to imply that
Russia is "big, brutal and clumsy". The Russian bear become component of daily life for the
Russian people. He is often described in political jokes and references about the Russians.
Sometimes that is some positive characteristics associated with respect for the country, but more
often over him joke and underestimate him. Moreover, you can see a lot of city emblems with
the image of brown bear. We also have a main political party in our country which is called
"The United Russia". Even the last name of our President was Medvedev. The symbol of the
bear is often found on the flags or emblems of different peoples and countries. But the Russian
people are associate themselves with this animal and proud of this.
Special and reverent attitude of the Russian people to the bear started from an ancient time,
even before the adoption of Christianity. Then I tried to search something about the bear, the first
thing that I found was what the bear is a symbol of Russia. The Internet site Random Facts say
The symbol of the Russia is a bear. In fact, bears have traditionally not only been a symbol of
pride and power in Russia, but have also been common images in fairy tales and myth.
According of one from the Russian legends, the man was turned into a bear for his crimes,
therefore the bear so loves a honey and alcohol like a human. And the bear is able to walk on his
hind legs, wash a face and even dancing.
For a long time the Russian people did not have total of faith, they worshipped different
gods, it was an embodied beings and inanimate objects. Also the ancient Slavs thought that a life
was surrounded by spirits and invisible forces. The spirits and the animals had magical powers.
The one of the legends says that man came from the bear. This is the similarity in appearance,
such as eyes, legs, hands and fingers. It was considered that if take off a skin from the bear, he
will become a normal person. Also the bear is connected with beginning of the new seeding year,
because in the spring the bear wakes up after the winter sleep. So this mighty beast is considered
the patron of fertility. By the way, for some unknown reasons the bar for the ancient Slavs was as
a protector and guardian against evil. Royal feasts and holidays are always accompanied by an
entertainment with a manual bear.
The modern history, uses the bear like a character. The bear has become a very important
figure in the Russian political scene. He became a national symbol, showing a huge size of the
country, its strength and power. How said Tom Barton As a marketing symbol, though, the bear
remains as powerful as ever. There is at least one beer brand featuring a polar bear, and the
countrys ruling political party, United Russia also features a white bear. Its connotations of
strength and power are something companies as well as the national spirit would like to bask in.
But despite the menacing look that shows the bear, he can be good-natured and this helps to
create a positive image in international relations.
Any world cultural and sporting events held in our country cannot do without our symbol is
the bear. Olympic games that Russia took two times, it was in 1980 and in 2014, had also had the
symbol the bear. Each of them has its unique character and own history of creation. As written
on the website Wikipedia, The bear image was, however, on various occasions (especially in
the 20th century) also taken up by the Russians themselves. Having the teddy bear "Misha" as
the mascot of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games was evidently intended to counter the "big and
brutal Russian Bear" image with a small, cuddly and smiling bear cub. Other example, from the
Winter Olympic Game in Sochi in 2014 was a white bear. That bear lived beyond the Polar
Circle and he was brought up by explorers who lived there. Thanks to them he absorbed the love
of the sport. That bear knew how to skate and ski. The white bear gets along well with children
and he always ready to give them my care and attention. The white bear has a pleasant temper
and kindness, that makes him look like to its predecessor - the symbol of the Olympic games-80
and shows the World that the Russian people and its culture are built on kindness and love.
The bear is appearing in many literary and artistic works of Russian folk tales, movies, and
legends. The bear is there as leader, protector and patron of wild animals, and arbitrator in their
dispute. He was also considered as the protector of the home livestock. People used the head of
the bear to protect from evil spirits for cows and horses in the stables or used the skin of the bear
in ceremonies. Moreover the Russian folk tales say that the bear stole girls and led them away
into the forests, but after made heroic acts, he turned into a young and handsome guy (a Prince).
In the end they lived together happily ever after. This suggests that the cult of the bear was
compared with a man. The bear was as the type of man in the bearskin, like the owner of the
forest, and assistant of the person.
I don't know how for others, but for me the bear is an integral part of the Russian culture, as
for granted. For example, in my childhood in books and cartoons the bear was strong and good-
natured, who defended the weak, and was always fair. And now, when I grew up I cannot
imagine that in the place of symbol of the bear could be a tiger or a dragon. The bear for me has
a many positive qualities: hard work, justice, honesty, friendship. The bear has the Russian
character. He is strong, terrible, sometimes lazy and fierce. He can be kind, clumsy and very
funny.
The bear is a typical Russian animal and he is associated with the Russian people,
characterizes them as strong, serious, and fair nation. He more often than the other animal was
described in Russian culture, it means he reflects the quality of our culture that is important to us.
For over 1000 years of existence of The Russian State the bear remains part of the Russian
culture. He more often than the other animal was described in Russian culture, it means he
