This document is a request from Libya Design to conduct a geotechnical investigation and geodetic survey for a proposed football stadium project in Zliten, Libya. It requests soil testing including density, shear resistance, water levels, and bearing capacity to inform foundation design. Boreholes should be drilled in a grid pattern to 15 meters depth. Additionally, data on existing sewer, water, and site topography is needed to further develop structural and architectural plans. Conducting these soil analysis and surveys will provide essential information on ground conditions to design appropriate foundations and connect utilities for the new stadium project.

Dear Sir, Before the structural work commence it is important that a soil study is undertaken so as to determine the condition of the soil. This will allow us to design the right foundation for the building. What we will require is geotechnical investigation of the soil which will be carried out by experienced geotechnical engineer and his team. The results of the investigation should be based on the tests carried out in specialized laboratory on soil examples from bore holes took from the site, as showed in the attached drawing. The tests should at least include the following: 1. Weight density of the each soil layer (if any), 2. Angle of shearing resistance, 3. Max. level of the underground water, 4. Corrosive hazard due to salt in the water, 5. Calculation of the bearing capacity of the soil in foundation depth for type of foundation used in design, 6. Calculation of the foundation settlement. After all the tests are done, the results should be presented in the technical report, together with the geological profile of the terrain drawing with type and thickness of each soil layer (if any), level of underground water, place of bore holes. Also, in the report should be attached all diagrams and data which are the result of the tests. In the attachment you will find a CAD drawing in PDF format showing the positions with our suggestion where the bore holes should be taken bearing in mind the position of the stadium and size of a site. We recommend that boreholes are drilled in grid positioning with spacing not more than 75x76 m in order to get as much diverse data as possible for this size of a site. We recommend a depth of 15 meters to get a clear data and good understanding of the soil condition. Also, for further development of the design, both structural and architectural, we need the following data: 1. Geodetic survey of the site, 2. Data about sewerage system (position, diameter, position and depth of the manholes etc.) and 3. Data about water system (diameter, water pressure etc.) which are available to connect from the inner sewerage and water system of the stadium.
