My Ambition in Life

Life is fair. Some people say that it isnt but actuallly, it does.
I envied my brother for having very unique talents that obviously, I am still praying to have. I can sing,
dance, act, write in special occcasions, play piano while my brother speaks fluent English, paints, draws
and make comics in his Grade 1 pad paper which never fails to amaze me. But even though I havent
acquired these skills, it wasnt unfair on my part. You see, my brother is a special child. He is deprived of
a normal life because of his deficiency. Unfair, isnt it? Yes, I think so too. Therefore, life is fair. Since it
has been unfair for both of us.
Why the sudden life is fair topic? When in fact what I am writing is what my ambition in life is. Well,
honestly, it was just an introductory lead just to beutify this exposition. I write, remember? Anyway, I
am Brendamae Alcomendras Estorba. I have been living in this world for 18 years, 8 months and 7 days.
In my age of course you would assume that I am already in my college level. I am currently enrolled in
the prestigious University of Mindanao with Criminology as my chosen course. Why here in UM? Well at
first, it was really the schedule of classes everday (7-12; 12:30-5:30; 5:30-9:30). I think it is really efficient
in saving time and also very convenient for working students which I am NOT. Now my reason for
staying in UM, its the QUALITY TRANSFORMATIVE EDUCATION FOR ALL. Why Criminology? Really, I
wasnt planning to enter tertiary level because I was aiming for PMA. But since I was still young for PMA
when I graduated high school, so I decided to take up Crim first so that Ill not waste time while waiting
for me to pass PMA Entrance Examination. Thats it. But let me just clear things up. I dont like being a
police officer.
They say that its free to dream. So when I dream, I dream BIG. That is why I am going to become an
astronaut. And I am going to pursue that after I finish PMA and serving my country. I want to die in a
black hole. But if someone comes and start promises of a wonderful life together with me, the astronaut
will just have to wait in the afterlife. Anyway, its already a heavenly experience to be in love. But, study
first!
Its hard to expect too much because the outcome may not be what you have forseen to happen. But
Sir Nestor Nabe exceeded my expectations. Of all professors, he really applies student-based learning in
his classes. I expect that he can always adjust to the changes the university may do. I also expect that he
is very strict when it comes to passing of reqiurements. I expect more of him for the years to come. May
God bless his heart. When it comes to the University, I expect to have more accreditation until all
programs will reach the center of excellence. The University will upgrade itself for the coming years and
will produce shining, shimmering Diamonds in the Rough students that will excel beyond school.
