COLORS OF LIGHT
I. Objectives:
Given activity about the colors of light, the student should be able to:
a. identify and differentiate the different primary and secondary of light colors of
light;
b. create a model that explain about the colors of light;
c. perform the activity creatively and collaboratively.

II. Subject Matter:

d. SCIENCE IDEA:
There are three primary colors of light: red, green and blue.
Mixing the primary colors produces the intermediate or secondary colors, yellow,
cyan and magenta
White light can be produced by mixing the proper proportion of a color and its
opposite.

3 big flashlights
pieces of red, blue, and green cellophane paper
tape
30 cm white card

a. MOTIVATION:
Class what do you think is the color of
light?

Are you sure?

Do you know that light compose of many
colors?
And just like color of crayons, in has also
primary and secondary colors?


b. LESSON PROPER:
If the primary colors of crayons or pigment
are red, blue and yellow what then the primary
colors of light?


Correct! And what can we produce if we
combine the two primary colors?



So what are the different secondary colors of
light then and who can we have white and
black color of light? To know what are the
secondary colors of light and how white and
black color produce we will going to have an
activity. In this activity you are doing it by
group and be sure to observe silence and
cooperation .

Maam, red, blue and green are the primary

If we are going to combine two primary
colors together we can create the secondary
colors.

In the activity red, blue and green which are

Maam if we are going to combine red and
green creates a color yellow.


Maam, we ca have color cyan.



Correct! What color you will get if you shine
all three lights on the white card at the same
time.

c. SUMMARY:
As a group, you are going to create a
model or graphic organizer on how white
light is produce and afterwards you are
going to present your work by group .
Maam, we ca have color magenta.

Maam we can get white. White light is made
up of red, blue, and green. These are called the
primary colors.






IV. EVALUATION:
Complete the given diagram below and create an essay that discusses the diagram.
