This source is another example of how the FBI intentionally hindered the progress of the Civil Rights Movement. I used this to show the FBIs negative effect on the civil rights movement. Edgar Hoover to the U.S. Secret Service, classifies Forman as someone who expresses strong or violent anti-U.S. sentiment. This interview with was a great help to my project. Dorothy not only worked with Forman, but was also a very close friend of his. She provided insight to how FBI surveillance affected Forman, as well as the civil rights community.
