With more than twice the torque output of conventional motors, the PowerPak* ERT high-performance motor uses even rubber power section
technology to convert more of the hydraulic horsepower generated by mud flow to available bit torque. This delivers a smoother constant
bit RPM even with aggressive bits, leading to increased ROP and drilling performance.

Red shading is used to highlight loading conditions that
elevate elastomer stress levels and may reduce stator run
life. Higher differential pressures and flow rates reduce
stator life.
Green shading is used to highlight less demanding loading
conditions that will reduce elastomer stress levels and may
increase stator run life.
The Max Efficiency line identifies the pressures and flow
rates at which the power section makes the most efficient
use of the available input hydraulic energy. The power
output at this loading level is noted to permit a comparison
with the max output possible. Typically the power output
at max efficiency is greater than 65% of an ERTs max
power output, but it is achieved at less than 50% of the
differential pressure required to produce max power.
The Max Power line indentifies the differential pressure
that maximizes power output for any given flow rate.
95% Max identify ranges in which 95% of both
max horsepower and max efficiency are achieved and
indicate the sensitivity of both parameters to varying
differential pressures. These ranges are typically quite
wide, highlighting that significantly lower differential
pressure loading can still provide over 95% of the max
power output. Because of this and the fact that higher
differential pressures increase elastomer stress and
reduce power section life, the minimum differential
pressure required to obtain this 95% max power
output should be considered the max loading level.
