services, suc( as cas($in, cas( out, merc(ant payment, utility payment, salary dis,ursement,
forei5n remittance, 5overnment allo3ance dis,ursement, A0M money 3it(dra3al t(rou5(
mo,ile tec(nolo5y devices, i.e. Mo,ile 8(one, is called Mo,ile Ban)in5.

8repaid =ard ystem 3ill ,e a multiple ,an), multiple c(annel platform, 3(ere 0rust Ban) 3ill
act as t(e settlement ,an),< BB said in a recent notice. Wit( t(e card, a customer 3ill ,e a,le to
deposit and 3it(dra3 cas( directly from A0Ms and all ot(er c(annels. A card 3ill (ave a secret
82; to access t(e service. Also, t(e system allo3s an aut(ori>ed user to transact ,y mo,ile.
2n case of forei5n remittance, any amount could ,e 3it(dra3n ,y prepaid card, ,ut t(e amount is
limited to a ma:imum of 0) %",""" for no3, Ban5lades( Ban) officials said. 2n line 3it( t(e
central ,an) directive, any ,an) (avin5 ?$cas( or a similar platform can issue prepaid cards for

3it( Di5ital 0ec(nolo5ies Ltd and 2nformation 0ec(nolo5y =onsultant Ltd. Under t(e di5ital
money transfer system, intra$ and inter$,an) account$to$account transfers, transactions at A0Ms
t(rou5( ?$cas( and ot(er similar platforms 3ill ,e settled.
A di5ital 3allet is an electronic prepaid card 3it( mo,ile ,an)in5 BM$,an)in5C t(at utilises t(e
