Job Purpose & Scope




Provides a complete range of Electrical Engineering Services to the
Brown Field Minor Projects in Upper Zakum & Zirku Business Units
handled by OS Group
The work scope includes mainly of carrying out site survey,
adequacy checks / technical assessment, engineering studies,
design / detailed engineering and providing Electrical engineering
support for procurement & execution for Brownfield Minor Projects
Ensures that all services provided are in accordance with ZADCO &
Industry standards, procedures and good engineering practices


Principal Accountabilities




a. Perform adequacy and debottlenecking studies, carryout
design / engineering for plant modifications, upgrades and
minor projects
b. Perform engineering calculations such as DG rating, short
circuit levels, control gear components, voltage drop
calculations, Transformer, DC & AC UPS sizing, lighting and
earthing design, cable ampacity and relay setting calculations /
curves etc.
c. Carryout site survey / as-building of Instrumentation documents
as relevant
d. Prepare Engineering Packages for minor projects
comprising scope of work, data sheets, MTO, cable
schedules, load lists, tie-in schedules and various layout
drawings
e. Prepare technical proposals and engineering estimates and
scope of work for the studies / projects to be executed through
external Consultant or Contractors
f. Develop single line diagrams, wiring & schematic diagrams, tie-
in diagrams, panel general arrangement, troubleshooting
diagrams, equipment earthing, lighting & cable layout and
hazardous area classification documents
g. Prepare tender / procurement specifications and carryout
technical bid evaluations. Review / approve Contractors
engineering deliverables and vendor drawings / documents
h. Review FAT / SAT procedures & witnessing tests, provide
technical support / participate in material inspection,
installation, testing & commissioning at site and attend
functional tests and performance guarantee tests as relevant
i. Interface with other engineering disciplines and provide
Electrical input to carryout detailed engineering activities.
Participate in HAZOP and other safety reviews
j. Coaching and mentoring UAE national graduates / Developees

Qualification & Experience




a) Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
b) Minimum 12 years of industry experience in Electrical Engineering
of which at least 5 years in Oil & Gas industry. Industry experience
should include engineering consultancy, project execution, detailed
design and operations technical support
c) Well conversant with International Codes & Standards and Industry
Best Practices
d) Computer literate and well conversant with relevant technical
softwares
e) Very good knowledge of English
