European Information Co-ordinator (Ref: EIC3025)


Salary: 17,428 - 23,964 per annum
Location: Trafford Park
Fixed Term for 6 Months

Business Support Solutions are recruiting a European Information Co-ordinator to assist in the delivery of the Enterprise
Europe Network Northwest contract and to deliver the research function and promote the role of the Enterprise Europe
Network (EEN), as the key access to European information, business contacts and business opportunities.
Based in Trafford Park.

The duties of the job include:

To act as a first point of contact for telephone enquiries and personal callers for the EENNW team, referring on to the
appropriate team member by phone or email as appropriate.
Gathering, storing, retrieving, researching and disseminating EU business information to clients, working within budgets
and other resources.
Ensuring EENNW databases, library and information resources are up to date.
Providing specialist information and support on:
o European initiatives, legislation and other EU business support issues, outlining brokerage and partnership
opportunities
o identifying relevant opportunities in acquiring EU and other funds by database
o identifying internationalisation opportunities in Europe, and with EEN third country partners by database
Developing and delivering EEN services including:
o Development of information products in response to SMEs and emerging Enterprise Development
policies that affect the business environment.
o Promotion of the EEN s e r v i c e through flyers, regional website, PR, E -Newsletters, Social
Networking sites etc and via partners in the wider business support network.
o Reviewing feedback from EEN activities as part of a process of continuous improvement.

We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Good IT skills - research skills, word processing, spreadsheets and database management
A good communicator and have a confident manner with the ability to handle calls from a wide variety of outside
contacts
The ability to work on their own initiative
A degree level standard of education is needed, with ability to speak a European language
Knowledge and experience of supporting SMEs to attract EU funds.
Knowledge advising SMEs on EU policy.
